Critical Praise:

“In four and a half years — beginning small in Miami, and now promoting Coachella-sized events around the country — Rolling Loud has established itself as a playground for the young…This time last year, many of the rappers now drawing crowds of several thousand were barely known.” – The New York Times

“Rolling Loud is the be-all of hip-hop festivals.” – Billboard

“The Rolling Loud New York experiment was a success—one which will likely earn it a return trip to the city in future years. Far from a traditional NYC rap experience, it was a two-day event that catered to the genre’s youngest fans, with an eye squarely focused on the future.” – Complex

“In only its fifth year with four major destinations and more in the pipeline overseas, athletes, celebrities and others are forking over as much as $20,000 for VIP packages. Of course, imitators are cropping up.” – Pollstar

The Background:

About Rolling Loud
Founded as a one-day festival in 2015 by Matt Zingler and Tariq Cherif, Rolling Loud has evolved into a global behemoth, with annual festivals in Miami, Los Angeles, New York, and the Bay Area. Postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Rolling Loud Miami is scheduled for February 2021, and Rolling Loud Portugal, the brand’s first European festival, recently announced the lineup for next Summer. The company’s new Twitch partnership speaks to the strength of its brand, allowing Rolling Loud to maintain its vital cultural role during an impossibly difficult time for festivals and live music.

In October 2019, Rolling Loud hosted the first annual Rolling Loud New York, which boasted one of the brand’s most impressive lineups yet, and in December, it drew 65,000 fans per day to Banc of California Stadium for Rolling Loud Los Angeles.

wifisfuneral Pioneers a Strip Club/Car Wash Hybrid in “Back Ache” Video

    9.10.2020

    Video: wifisfuneral – “Back Ache”

The Alamo Records Signee Brings a Sensual PAIN? Highlight To Life in His Latest Video

    Critical Praise:

    XXL Freshman, Class of 2018

“[wifisfuneral] displays an impressive array of verbal acrobatics, showing off masterful breath control and a rapid fire flow.”  – Pitchfork

“He’s synthesized the regionless, borderless world of the internet age from which he takes his name, while lacing it with a narcotically addictive flow and a distinct ear for melody that’s allowed him to develop while others stagnate.” – NOISEY

“The young rapper has a wide range of skills, from agile raps and bass-heavy tracks to dark and moody slow-burners, and his unpredictability is part of his appeal” – Pigeons & Planes

    The Video:

He’s known for his cerebral rhymes and dark subject matter, but sometimes wifisfuneral just likes to let loose and have a good time. Today, the South Florida native shares a humorous video for Back Ache,” a sexually explicit banger. Produced by Rudy & Jimmy Duval, “Back Ache” is a downtempo trap come-on that finds an auto-tuned wifi switching up his flows, mixing in a cadence that pays tribute to Future’s 2015 song  “Where Ya At.” In the video, directed by Chris Moreno, wifi stars in a news segment/infomercial for a local business establishment–namely, a hybrid car wash/strip club. The video alternates between wifi frolicking with scantily clad models and a family of three fighting over the television remote, the mother trying desperately to keep her son from witnessing the spectacle. “Back Ache” is the latest clip from PAIN?, wifi’s new album, following last week’s space-time-bending video for lo-fi pop gem Lost In Time ft. Coi Leray.

Throwing himself into his new artistic direction, wifi turned heads with PAIN?, which hit streaming services last week. Giving his tight flows a tuneful lift, PAIN? is dramatically different from wifi’s previous albums, fully-integrating auto-tune assisted melodies into his cerebral songs. The album veers from romantic devotionals, to X-rated sex jams, to expressions of loneliness, as wifi’s voice expresses the deeply-felt emotion reflected in his lyrics. PAIN? is home to several well-received singles, including the Smoove’L-featuring Ocean.” The 23-year-old rapper showcased album highlights with performance videos, including clips for ride-or-die lead single End Of Story” and the chilled-out “All In.” Most recently, wifi shared an engaging performance video for album highlight Guy Like Me. Praised by StereogumXXLHotNewHipHopLyrical Lemonade, and more, wifi’s new music shows another side of the 2018 XXL Freshman, and heralds even brighter things to come. Featuring an additional appearance from Mariah AngeliqPAIN? is available everywhere via Alamo Records.

    The Background:

22-year-old South Florida rapper wifisfuneral has taken his dark sonics, mature-beyond-his-years lyrics, and trunk rattling bass from the streets of Palm Beach to the world, amassing over 1.7 million monthly listeners on Spotify and over 700,000 followers on various social media platforms. wifisfuneral’s growth has been organic and cult-like, with his fans spreading his music like wildfire with each and every release. With virtually zero promotion other than his social media presence, wifisfuneral’s independent projects Black Heart Revenge (May 27th, 2016) and When Hell Falls (January 27, 2017) reached #69 and #17 on the iTunes hip-hop charts respectively, resulting in a label deal with Alamo and Interscope Records. His major label debut mixtape, Boy Who Cried Wolf, received critical acclaim, with two of the tracks earning placement in the Spotify’s coveted Most Necessary playlist. His latest mixtape, Ethernet, was released in June 2018 via Alamo Records. In 2018, wifisfuneral was officially named to the XXL Freshman List and reached #1 on YouTube’s trending chart. In 2019, wifi headlined two nationwide tours, released two follow-up EPs to Ethernet, and collaborated with Robb Bank$ on the Conn3ct3d project.

David Guetta, Sada Baby, and Rick James Are Having a Moment on TikTok

    9.10.2020

TikTok Treats, Week Of September 7th

David Guetta Shares a New Snippet, Sada Baby Brings a Whole Lotta Choppas, and More Interesting Music Stories From the World of TikTok

    The News:

TikTok levels the playing field for artistic expression. Scrolling through the app’s “For You” page, you can find the latest viral dance trend, an unreleased song by a superstar artist, and the latest deep web meme–often they’ll appear back to back. Below, find a cross-section of music songs, trends, and memes that might pop up during a prolonged scroll:

    • Superstar DJ David Guetta is back on TikTok, offering a preview of his unreleased new song “Let’s Love” ft. Sia earlier this week. Offering TikTok users a preview of the emotional new anthem, Guetta made “Let’s Love” available as a sound, urging fans to use the #letslove hashtag to express the things that help them stay positive during difficult times. Videos tagged with #letslove have earned over 81 million video views in just two days, highlighting such bright spots as eating pizza at the beachjoyful dancing, and heartwarming moments with furry friends. As for Guetta himself, he feels most at peace when exercising in his home gym.

    • The culmination of years’ worth of organic growth, Detroit rapper Sada Baby has a TikTok hit on his hands. Built on a sample of “Whoomp (There It Is)” by The Tag Team, “Whole Lotta Choppas” gets a boost from Sada’s verbal dexterity and his ability to thread the needle between street rap and dance rap. TikTok users have gravitated to the song’s defiant chorus, taking Sada’s advice and doing their dance (expensive pants not required) and throwing hands at anyone who’d try to stop them. Spurred by a viral dance created by @ohbukster and by @tyler_legere‘s misanthropic memes, the song is #2 on Spotify’s US Viral 50 chart and is rapidly approaches 2 million video creations on TikTok. “Whole Lotta Choppas” has reached the ears of Tyga, Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster, and many others.

    • The TikTok community can create an entire universe of memes with only the slightest inspiration. Ultra Music DJ and recording artist Hazel was the beneficiary of a bizarre trend when the community got ahold of “I Love Poland (Remix)” an energetic ode to Hazel’s home country. Spearheaded by users like @poland_is_everywhere, the expert photo editors of TikTok take user requests to transform any item of graphic design into Poland’s dichromatic flag. If you look hard enough, you can find the Polish flag in TikTok commentsassorted emojis, even other flags.

    • There are very few perfect songs, but those rare songs have a way of popping up again and again in the popular consciousness. One such song is’ “Super Freak,” the immaculate funk jam by Rick James. TikTok follows in the footsteps of MC HammerDave Chappelle, and Little Miss Sunshine as the latest cultural force to resurrect “Super Freak.” With over 66k video creations, many coming in the past week, “Super Freak” is the soundtrack to their ironic thirst traps, and helps users imagine what TikTok would’ve been like in the 1980s.

Whether they’re advocating for a good cause or merely marveling at Poland’s ubiquity, TikTok users benefit from the platform’s focus on meaningful interaction. The app’s most successful users maintain a give-and-take relationship with their fans, responding to their comments or using the duet feature to reward engagement. It’s these interactive moments that people take with them, and for artists, it’s what can turn a curious listener into a new fan.

Of course, imitators are cropping up.” – Pollstar

wifisfuneral Shares Performance Video for PAIN? Highlight “Guy Like Me”

  • Press Release

wifisfuneral Shares Performance Video for PAIN? Highlight “Guy Like Me”

    9.4.20

Video: wifisfuneral – “Guy Like Me”

The South Florida Rapper Performs a Highlight Track From His New Album PAIN?, Out Now via Alamo Records

    The Video:

Switching to a melodic new style, wifisfuneral’s new music proves his artistic versatility. Bringing to life a highlight from his recent PAIN? album, the rapper shares “Guy Like Me,” a new performance video. Produced by Jimmy Duval & Katapullt, who layer heavy 808s over an engaging R&B-style chord progression and bass line, “Guy Like Me” finds wifi emoting in auto-tune as he searches for a new bae: “And I need a ride or die by my side to take fatal shots/And God, take this pain off of my eyes ’cause I done prayed a lot.” The new performance video is an engaging look inside wifi’s artistic process, and follows recent clips for lead single End Of Story” and the chilled-out “All In.”

PAIN? is home to several well-received singles, including the Smoove’L-featuring Ocean” and the lo-fi pop gem “Lost In Time ft. Coi Leray, which earned praise from Stereogum and others. Featuring an additional appearance from Mariah AngeliqPAIN? is available everywhere via Alamo Records.

The group treats their 18 million followers to behind-the-scenes clips that preview new performances and show off the group’s personalities. The septet resurfaced on TikTok in late August to promote their new song “Dynamite,” their first single sung fully in English, and they quickly spurred a flurry of activity. Two behind-the-scenes videos of “Dynamite” rehearsals earned more than 130 million views combined in just two weeks, the song inspired more than 500k video creations, and the new hashtag “#Dance_Dynamite” has over 200 million video views. Most recently, BTS rapper J-Hope celebrated the song’s ascent to #1 on the Billboard Hot 100, thanking the TikTok branch of the BTS Army for their service.
    • Kendrick Lamar might be conspicuously absent from the music scene in 2020, but he’s thriving on TikTok. The community has re-discovered Kendrick’s “Money Trees,” a beloved album cut from his 2012 debut good kid m.A.A.d. city. With over 1 million video creations, many of which came in the past two weeks, “Money Trees” got a boost from TikTok user @king.science, who brought the song’s bridge (and the associated vocal from Anna Wise) to life with an atmospheric animation. With a viral dance challenge and a glow-up challenge making waves on the platform, the TikTok community is sending a clear message to Kendrick–we’re ready for new music.
    • Country superstar Luke Combs shared a snippet of his new song “Forever After All” on his TikTok account, and even though it hasn’t yet been shared in full, his fans are already calling it one of his best yet. The song has over 13K video creations in just 5 days, with even the most stone-faced country music lovers tearing up at the romantic message. The song soundtracks users’ most romantic dreams and moments, including a pandemic proposalmidnight dances in a new home, and unexpected dad-dog friendships. “Forever After All” doesn’t officially come out until October, but TikTok and its community are set to propel it to a massive debut.
    • In 2007, Soulja Boy became one of the first rappers to score a major hit with a viral dance, inspiring a chart-topping phenomenon with “Crank Dat (Soulja Boy)” and its accompanying routine. Thirteen years later, Soulja Boy is inspiring viral trends once again, this time set to his motor-mouthed 2014 trap track “Pow.” The new “Pow” trend is a front-facing camera transition trend, the rapper’s percussive “pows” providing an opportunity to transition between “faces I can’t stop making,” pet poses, or even “kiss marry kill.” The sound has generated over 140k video creations, with over 100k in the past week.
    • The hottest TikTok song of the moment? It’s “Let’s Link,” an elastic-voiced come-on by charismatic rising rapper and San Bernardino native WhoHeem. Racking up over 270 million video views on over 250k video creations in the past week, “Let’s Link” gives TikTok users the opportunity to tell their crushes how they really feel, whether or not said crush is already in a relationship. The song recently reached the ears of viral sensation ppcocaine, who floated the possibility of remixing the song on a recent TIkTok (8 million views). WhoHeem’s TikTok success quickly translated to IRL numbers: “Let’s Link” has more than 2 million Spotify streams since its August 20th release.
    • Rising R&B singer Ayzha Nyree is an expert on using TikTok to boost her following. When the singer’s recent remix of Chris Brown’s “No Guidance” started to become a viral sound on TikTok, thanks to a dance craze created by @mayakaylaaa, Ayzha went on a charm offensive on her profile, plugging the song every chance she got, including recording a Duet with @mayakaylaaa. The upstate New York native took her followers with her on her journey to viral stardom, using TikTok’s green screen feature to celebrate when “No Guidance” (Remix) reached 1 million plays on SoundCloud, and crying tears of joy when it reached 5 million views on YouTube. Last week, Ayzha reached new milestones, notching her 1 millionth follower on TikTok as “No Guidance” (Remix) reached the Billboard charts…without an official release! Though the “No Guidance (Remix)” isn’t on streaming services, Ayzha’s engagement around the song has driven streams on her other songs, including her new single “Holy Class,” which has over 325k streams on Spotify.
    • TikTok’s presence was felt at last weekend’s MTV VMAs, as TikTok favorites like BTSMegan Thee StallionDoja Cat, and The Weeknd took home major awards for songs that blew up on TikTok. Read more about TikTok’s VMA success at the TikTok newsroom.
The diverse array of artists and songs that take off on TikTok might feel random, but the most enduring TikTok trends are usually not hard to explain–A superstar artist motivates their legion of fans to start a trend, or an up-and-coming artists puts in the legwork to create a viral hit. Whether TikTok creators respond to a lyrical hook, a song’s sonic element, or a combination of both, TikTok hits are distinct enough to inspire a communal mood, but malleable enough to allow for authentic self-expression. The songs above, like the most enduring TikTok hits and trends, expertly thread that needle.

Rolling Loud Launches Partnership with Twitch, Announces 9/12-13 Livestream

    8.31.2020

Rolling Loud Enters First-of-its-Kind Exclusive Partnership with Twitch, Announces Virtual Festival to Take Place on September 12th-13th

The Biggest Festival Brand In Rap Launches Twitch Channel, Complete with Live and Community-Driven Hip Hop Lifestyle Programming

Offering Fans an Opportunity to Engage with Rap’s Biggest Names as they Perform Live for the First Time in Months, Rolling Loud’s Official Twitch Channel Will Also Bring Scheduled Programming Across Music Commentary, Gaming, Freestyles, and More

    The Announcement:

Building a reputation as an unbeatable festival and a respected tastemaker, the Rolling Loud brand is synonymous with hip-hop. Today, the genre’s biggest festival brand announces an innovative new partnership with Twitch, bringing the energy and irreverence of Rolling Loud to Twitch’s passionate  global community of millions of fans.

Twitch and Rolling Loud worked closely together to build out live festival and regular weekly programming that will bring the best of hip hop music and culture to life for the Twitch community. The new partnership includes three upcoming digital Rolling Loud festivals, complete with state-of-the-art production value and the star-studded lineups for which Rolling Loud is known. Each digital festival will present over 5 hours of live performances every day of the event. Giving music fans the opportunity to see rap’s biggest stars perform for the first time in months, Rolling Loud’s first livestream festival – titled Loud Stream – is scheduled for the weekend of September 12th-13th, exclusively on Twitch.

“Streaming on Twitch transports viewers into a live concert atmosphere and creates an experience for artists to interact with fans in ways only possible on Twitch,” said Will Farrell-Green, Head of Music Content at Twitch. “As in-person concerts are put on hold, we’re working to create an incredible backstage environment that fans can access from anywhere in the world. Rolling Loud has a powerful community of hip-hop fans, and we’re thrilled to partner with them for a first of its kind event that will bring their incredible live music brand to life.”

“At Rolling Loud, our core business lies in exchanging energy with fans. The artist puts out the energy, the fans give it right back to the artist – it’s a complete power exchange. That’s what a concert, and more specifically Rolling Loud, is. We trap energy and the trap is boomin’. When we planned to bring Rolling Loud to the virtual experience, we needed to find a partner that could help create that energy exchange and understand the core DNA of Rolling Loud. It only made sense to partner with Twitch – a service that thrives off of live engagement with fans and champions a diverse collection of creators. The Twitch team has been incredibly supportive in meeting our creative goals and we’re thrilled to be partnering with them.” – Tariq Cherif, Co-Founder/Co-CEO at Rolling Loud

“Partnering with Twitch, we also saw the opportunity to further connect fans with the Rolling Loud brand beyond our flagship live events. Over the years, Rolling Loud has become a pillar in hip-hop culture, from booking emerging artists before they pop off to creating some of the most fire merch drops in the game, and we wanted to further our position in the culture through weekly programming on our Twitch channel. We’ve always had our eyes on content creation; it felt like the natural next step for the brand, but it wasn’t until the pandemic hit that we had the bandwidth to execute these ideas to the fullest. Twitch gave us the creative control to produce unique shows that hold true to our ‘ahead-of-the-curve’ mentality and play to Twitch’s strengths as the leading live stream platform out there. Expect Rolling Loud to do in the live stream world just as we have done in the festival space…” – Matt Zingler, Co-Founder/Co-CEO at Rolling Loud

Along with the upcoming festivals, Rolling Loud will broadcast hip hop-driven weekly content on the official Rolling Loud Twitch channel, featuring content that intersects hip hop with other cultural pillars like fashion, food, art, and gaming. Monthly showcases will also be created around fashion and a hip hop spin on cooking.  The channel will livestream regular themed programming, including:

    • The Leak“: Hosted by Rolling Loud co-founder Tariq Cherif, “The Leak” offers an opportunity for hip hop fans to hear new music the night before its official release. Known for presenting rap’s top emerging artists, “The Leak” will focus on spotlighting up-and-coming artists, with exclusive interviews and performances.
    • Got Bars?“:  A six-month long freestyle competition series, offering weekly battles between rising lyricists. Channel subscribers will be able to pick the freestyle topic, and all viewers will be able to vote along with three judges from the Rolling Loud team. The winner of “Got Bars?” will earn the opportunity to perform onstage at a future Rolling Loud festival.
    • Loud Gaming“: Inspired by Twitch’s focus on gaming content, “Loud Gaming” pits artists, athletes, influencers, and Rolling Loud staff against gamers for exclusive prizes.
    • The Founders“: A livestream podcast hosted by Rolling Loud co-founders Matt Zingler and Tariq Cherif, in which they discuss a variety of lifestyle and current events topics that intersect with hip hop.
    • “Live From The Studio”: An exclusive look into the Rolling Loud recording studio where producers, artists, and song writers will create music and collaborate while staying engaged with the Twitch community.

Founded as a one-day festival in 2015, Rolling Loud has evolved into a global behemoth, with annual festivals in Miami, Los Angeles, New York, and the Bay Area.

Stay tuned for more announcements about the upcoming “Loud Stream” festival and about Rolling Loud’s Twitch partnership and programming.

King Von Reports Live From the Justice System in “How It Go” Video Single

  • Press Release

King Von Reports Live From the Justice System in “How It Go” Video Single

    8.28.2020

Video: King Von – “How It Go”

The Chicago Rising Star Reflects on the Inequity of the Justice System and the Misery of Prison Life in His Latest Video Single

    Critical Praise:

“King Von’s original ‘Crazy Story’ is the kind of thing hip-hop heads should crave: an immediate and distinct piece of cinematic rap that makes time for flirting and gangbanging all in one ferocious verse. The Chicago rapper details an attack on an opp that keeps you engrossed all the way to the very end” – The 405

“King Von’s incredibly vivid story-telling rhymes have propelled him to the forefront of Chicago drill rap.” – The FADER

“King Von excels in using his storytelling as a device to portray the struggle of growing up in Chicago.” – Pitchfork

    The Video:

Making waves with his gritty delivery and tight storytelling, King Von is one of Chicago’s brightest rising stars. Applying his eye for detail and engaging story to an issue larger than himself, King Von shares How It Go,” a reflective anthem. With a widescreen instrumental from Von’s constant collaborator Chopsquad DJ, “How It Go” is breathlessly intense, running through Von’s inner monologue as he vividly explains what life is like on the inside, and examines the impossible choices that land people in prison in the first place: “So what you gon’ do?/You gon’ rob or gon’ shoot?/You gon’ trap, you gon’ crack?/You gon’ win you gon’ lose?,” rhymes Von, “The D.A. on yo ass, you f*ck one time and yo ass goin’ back.”

Directed by Jerry Production, the video brings Von’s words into stark relief. It starts in a legal boardroom, as Von sits by helplessly as his lawyer and the city prosecutor decide his fate. The video progresses to prison, where Von struggles with isolation and fights with fellow inmates, before ending on the streets, where Von demonstrates just how hard it is to survive while escaping the trap. “How It Go” is the latest in a line of hard-hitting videos like the emotional Why He Told (4.4 million YouTube views) and the the fiery Lil Durk collab  All These N****s (10.7 million views).

“How It Go,” “All These N****s,” “Why He Told” are Von’s first new songs since the release of LeVon James, Von’s latest album, released in March. Following up 2019’s successful Grandson Vol. 1 (over 350 million total streams), the album hosts the hit single Took Her To The O (22 million views), recently spawning a Genius Verified video, as well as highlights like the G Herbo-collaboration On Yo A** (8.3 million views) and the gripping street story “3 A. M.” (10 million views).

LeVon James is available everywhere via Only The Family/EMPIRE. Stay tuned for Von’s next project, due October.

    The Background:

King Von was born in the South Side of Chicago, growing up in O Block, the area that produced Chief Keef.  After rightfully beating an erroneous murder charge that could have put him away for life, King Von took inspiration from heroes like Lil Wayne and turned to rapping, linking up with Lil Durk who signed him to his OTF label. Within six months, Von had a series of viral hits, including the sinister Problems,” which has over 3.4 million views after its debut on Lil Durk’s YouTube channel, and the defiant War Wit Us,” which has over 3.8 million YouTube views. With “Crazy Story” currently burning up urban radio (it recently reached #76 on the nationwide chart), Von seems to be on the fast track to translate his fervent local following into national fame.

Buffalo Trio 14 trapdoors Traverse Space-Time in “Love” Visualizer

  • Press Release

Buffalo Trio 14 trapdoors Traverse Space-Time in “Love” Visualizer

    8.28.20

Visualizer: 14 trapdoors – “Love” ft. DNTWATCHTV & Medusa (Prod. by Camoflauge Monk)

The Buffalo Rap Trio Release a Psychedelic Visualizer for the Latest Single From the Upcoming Eileen Album

    Critical Praise:

“Buffalo rap trio 14 trapdoors (aka Short Moscato, Bendyface and Wza) have been leaving their mark on their local scene for over a year now.. They also strongly recall classic Def Jux stuff like El-P and Aesop Rock (both of whom they cite as influences), and fans of that stuff should definitely check these guys out.” – Brooklyn Vegan

“The self-produced track showcases the group vying their best to out rhyme each other over a minimalist, entrancing soundscape. The song was treated to an equally beguiling psychedelic video, which shows the group in their element skateboarding and lighting fireworks.” – Impose

    The Song + Visualizer:

Buffalo trio 14 trapdoors (Short MoscatoWza, and Bendyface) specialize in offbeat rhymes about their substance-friendly lifestyle. Continuing their effort to help put their city and unique flows on the map, they’ve teamed up with fellow Buffalonians, DNTWATCHTV and Medusa, for Love,” a laid back new track. Produced by Camoflauge Monk, who layers reverbed-out guitars over subdued drums, “Love” is a tongue-in-cheek ode to self-love, complete with dexterous verses from all five emcees. The song comes with an eye-popping visualizer, created and conceptualized by Mi6fit, which brings each emcee through cross-dimensional vortexes that change shape and color to the beat of the music.

“Love” is the latest in a string of releases from 14 trapdoors’ upcoming album, Eileen. It follows “Orion’s Belt” featuring Che Noir and the Benny The Butcher-featuring banger I Did It All” (premiered by Earmilk and covered in Brooklyn Vegan2DopeBoyz, and more).

Named after Bendyface’s grandmother who recently passed, Eileen is a stark and pure project, emphasizing bar-for-bar lyricism and flows that toe-tag glistening instrumentals. The project is produced in full by Camoflauge Monk (Westside Gunn, Tha God Fahim), a master of creating sparkling, textured, and bleak soundscapes that evoke a frosty evening in Western New York. The three emcees inhabit each instrumental with their brash demeanor and electric chemistry, occasionally highlighting phrases or punchlines with three-man gang vocals. With appearances from Benny The ButcherBoldy JamesChe’ NoirRoyce Da 5’9″Smoke Dza, and more, Eileen arrives on September 11th via The Media Music Inc.

Last month, 14 trapdoors shared Croquet, a new project available only on Bandcamp. An 8-track project produced by 14 trapdoors themselves, proceeds from Croquet benefit OpenBuffalo.org, an organization that fights to advance racial, economic, and ecological justice through skill building, network connecting, and activating leadership opportunities.

Stay tuned for much more from 14 trapdoors over the coming weeks.

Please contact Michelle or Kevin for more info.

    The Background:

14 trapdoors have created their own subgenre of Hip-Hop. The trio from Buffalo, New York featuring members bendyfaceShort Moscato and Wza cull from a wide range of influences that span Aesop Rock, Big L,  El-P, JAY Z and fellow Buffalo artists Westside Gunn, Conway The Machine and Benny the Butcher to Pink Floyd, Prince and Led Zeppelin. “People who gravitate toward the golden age ‘90s boom bap feel will fuck with us because we focus on lyricism and new age youngin’s will fuck with it because we have songs with a more ‘trappy’ vibe, but nothing’s force, through it all we can only be true to ourselves” bendyface says.
