If there’s one common denominator in the rap scene that has consistently evolved and flourished in the city of Atlanta for generations, it’s the ability to shift culture. From the classic southern stylings of Outkast to the Crunk movement and the ringtone anthems of the 2000s, to Migos, 21 Savage and Young Thug, the city has consistently been at the forefront of shaping the genre we love, and all that comes with it. A native from the city’s Eastside and still only 21 years of age, Ealuhri is quickly proving that he’s in line to be his city’s next breakout star. Fusing intricate wordplay with eclectic synths built for a vintage video game’s soundtrack fused with the rage foundations of Atlanta’s 0pium scene, Ealuhri’s unique style has added a new chapter to a movement that’s far bigger than the city’s underground.
Forced to grow up fast, Ealuhri’s chaotic sound is a direct reflection upon his background. Hailing from a single parent home in which his Mother has been confined to a wheelchair for the last 15 years, Ri had been the provider for his household since only 14 years old, dropping out of school and sustaining his family by any means necessary. Ealuhri shifted his business from illicit sales into being an Atlanta Waterboy for a few years until his best friend LIL YO was murdered, and Ri opted into taking rap seriously. Alongside his cousin DoubleXL and fellow ATL riser Ydouble, the group LILYOGANG was conceived, to honor their family member and friend.
Only after a few months of his efforts, his frenetic 2024 cut “Nickelodeon Slime” caught viral attention. Since then, Ealuhri has quickly built a fervent buzz around an unrelenting streak of mixtapes, with Atlanta all-stars like Playboi Carti, Ken Carson, Gunner Stahl, Babydrill, and more publicly praising him as the future of their scene. Over 10M streams and 100K Tiktok creates on his breakout song “JODY JO” later, he’s established that 2026 is his to take.
