The 1017 Eskimo Signee Shares His First New Single Since the Iceburg Mixtape
The Song:
Finding endless inventive ways to brag about his ends, Yung Mal is one of the most promising rappers in the ATL scene. Returning to the fold with a bite-sized banger, Mal shares “Started Actin’ Funny,” his new single. Produced by Noisy Jay, who brings rolling pianos and dramatic strings, “Started Actin’ Funny” is a 111-second flex-fest, as Mal assails fake friends and rides the instrumental with stuttering ad-libs: “I got big racks/I’m in a Maybach, ridin’ down Melrose.”
“Started Actin’ Funny” is Mal’s first new song since the release of Iceburg, Mal’s debut solo mixtape. The mixtape hosted a long line of successful singles, including the recent “Toothpaste,“ the Gunna-featuring “War“ (464k views), .the head-nodding lyrical exercise “#’s“, the Gucci Mane-featuring, Complex-premiered “Fresh”, and the exotic slapper “Action,” featuring Lil GotIt, produced by Pi’erre Bourne, and premiered by HYPEBEAST. Featuring additional appearances from King Von and Lil Quill, Iceburg is available to stream everywhere via 1017 Eskimo/Alamo Records.
