The Prelude:

Taking over the Dirty South with 80 million streams and counting, YTB Fatt is one of the top new stars from the bottom of the map. The Bread Gang rapper continues his heroic run with Fox Prelude, a new three-pack EP that highlights his strengths. The Prelude collects three fan-favorite Fatt singles and makes them available on all DSPs for the first time. The sinister “Played Out,” first dropped in 2022, was one of the first YTB Fatt singles to get regional recognition, combining steely-eyed accounts of gangster living with confident assertions about his star quality: “My life just like a movie, I don’t know what’s finna happen now/But I’m gonna play this motherf*cking role until it gets played out.” Released this January, “I Told You That” has over 3.1 million views on YouTube, as the West Memphis, AR rapper stands on business, flexing on his ability to save money and keep his homies paid. “Don’t Crash ” (2.3 million views) finds Fatt considering advice from loved ones as he carefully manages his quick rise.

Fox Prelude continues YTB Fatt’s breakout year, which hit a peak with his recent mixtape Who Is Fatt. His first full-length project, Who Is Fatt charted on Billboard and Apple Music, reaching #4 on Billboard’s Heatseekers Albums and charting as high as #12 on Apple Music’s All-Genre Album Chart and at #6 on Apple Music’s Hip-Hop Albums Chart. Fatt recently expanded his debut album with Who Is Fatt (Extended Clip), adding three new songs, including explanatory title track “Who Is Fatt.” Home to the street hits “Get Back,” “Calm It Down” (4.7 million total streams, gaining at 200k per day), and the Pitchfork-praised “Poppin It Hard,” plus guest appearances from Rob49 (on “Bet I Whip It,” 1.3 million views), Big Homiie G (on recent single “Us ”) and FTO Sett, Who Is Fatt is available everywhere via Loaf Boyz Ventures / 10K Projects.

YTB Fatt has been rising steadily in the Dirty South since the beginning of the year. Born and raised in West Memphis, Arkansas, just across the Mississippi from the Tennessee rap hotbed, YTB Fatt caught the attention of an impressed Moneybagg Yo with songs like “Played Out” and “Don’t Crash.” Moneybagg Yo quickly signed Fatt to his Bread Gang label, collaborating with Fatt on the hit “Shot Off Gumbo” (5+ million YouTube views) and connecting Fatt with Lil Durk on “Rock Out”–both of Yo and Fatt’s collaborations appeared on the Memphis rapper’s Hard To Love album. Since then, Fatt has continued to drop more street hits, including “Get Back,” which recently surpassed 10 million YouTube views, and recent single “Us” ft. Big Homiie G (1.1 million views), racking up nearly 89 million streams across platforms on his catalog in just a few short months.
