Switching to a melodic new style, wifisfuneral’s new music proves his artistic versatility. Bringing to life a highlight from his recent PAIN? album, the rapper shares “Guy Like Me,” a new performance video. Produced by Jimmy Duval & Katapullt, who layer heavy 808s over an engaging R&B-style chord progression and bass line, “Guy Like Me” finds wifi emoting in auto-tune as he searches for a new bae: “And I need a ride or die by my side to take fatal shots/And God, take this pain off of my eyes ’cause I done prayed a lot.” The new performance video is an engaging look inside wifi’s artistic process, and follows recent clips for lead single “End Of Story” and the chilled-out “All In.”

Giving his tight flows a tuneful lift, PAIN? is dramatically different from wifi’s previous albums, fully-integrating auto-tune assisted melodies into his cerebral songs. The album veers from romantic devotionals, to X-rated sex jams, to expressions of loneliness, as wifi’s voice expresses the deeply-felt emotion reflected in his lyrics. PAIN? is home to several well-received singles, including the Smoove’L-featuring “Ocean” and the lo-fi pop gem “Lost In Time“ ft. Coi Leray, which earned praise from Stereogum and others. 22-year-old South Florida rapper wifisfuneral has taken his dark sonics, mature-beyond-his-years lyrics, and trunk rattling bass from the streets of Palm Beach to the world, amassing over 1.7 million monthly listeners on Spotify and over 700,000 followers on various social media platforms. wifisfuneral’s growth has been organic and cult-like, with his fans spreading his music like wildfire with each and every release.
