The Announcement:
TouchGrass Music Fest made an action-packed debut on Saturday, October 3rd, bringing together some of the best musicians in rap and R&B and some of the most notable influencers in new media for a weekend of celebratory vibes. Fans commingled with their favorite streamers and enjoyed interactive activations as they watched A-List artists take the stage.
The headliner for the evening was PARTYNEXTDOOR, who brought his deeply personal and sensual brand of R&B to life with help of a live band and dancers. PND played hits from his catalog, including fan favorites like “Come And See Me” and 2024 smash hit “M a k e i t t o t h e m o r n i n g,” and energetically performed songs from $ome $exy $ongs 4 U, his 2025 collaborative album with Drake. PND surprised the crowd when he brought Trippie Redd onstage as a special guest.
Leading up to the main event were two stages full of some of music’s most exciting names. The TouchGrass stage featured a scintillating performance by JID, who affirmed why he is a generational rhyming talent with an epic set, an ultra-vibey showing by Portland’s own Aminé, a rip-roaring set from Houston diva Monaleo, and a parade a hits from Alabama’s Flo Milli. National names like TiaCorine and local heroes like Bizzy Crook brought the house down. Additional highlights from the TouchGrass Stage included an innovative set by DDG, who merges the worlds of music and streaming like few others, and an opening set by Zay of the Zoo, this year’s winner of the DreamCon StarSearch talent competition.
Meanwhile, the Meadows Stage delivered a raucous atmosphere featuring a mix of exciting artists and popular creators. XXL Freshman Slayr was among the most energetic performers, bringing his manic melodic energy to close the stage, debuting some new songs in the process. Fellow XXL Freshman Sosocamo performed, as did hitmaker Armani White and internet sensations Wynne and Adamn Killa, whose set with Fiji_Slayed_May was a festival highlight. Early in the day, Trap Sushi brought a unique experience to the stage, presenting a show that combined hip-hop and anime culture.
TGMF’s affable hosts were the TouchGrass TV collective, composed of Dwight (Roshi), Sheera (ItzSheera), Paul (Lupasan), JazzyGuns, and Dwayne Kyng. The founders worked tirelessly behind the scenes, making sure the festival ran smoothly and emphasizing real-life connection in a world dominated by screens. As individuals and a group, the TouchGrass Music Fest was the collective’s biggest swing to date, and with eye-catching performances and incredible vibes, the group started a vibrant event that will continue to meld the physical and digital worlds with a focus on building a lasting community
