It’s that time of the year again. It’s when the snow melts for good, the sun sets later and later, and when people from all over the country flock to Austin, Texas. It’s the 28th Annual SXSW Festival. After great success with our 4th annual hip-hop showcase last year, Audible Treats comes to Austin once again to make noise in the world of hip-hop. AT’s 5th Annual Hip-Hop Showcase features our strongest lineup yet, only further displaying the incredible talent and strength found within the company. While you’re down chowing down on some BBQ, be sure to stop by the Fader Fort, Red Bull Sound Select, the Southern Hospitality: Rap Gods Showcase, Okayplayer & House of Marley’s Top Notch Showcase, and everywhere else Audible Treats artists will be ruling the day.
When given a collection of music by our artists and asked to put a mix together, San Francisco DJ elite King Most remarked, “It’s one thing to get sent music, it happens a lot when you’re a DJ. But it’s another thing when you open your inbox and there’s a folder of nothing but quality music by up-and-coming acts. I’m not surprised though: Audible Treats has always had this gift to discover raw talent before anyone else and bring them to the masses, and their strong line-up for their showcase once again demonstrates just that. I wish I was at SXSW to see their showcase.”
