“Despite [Bizzy and Leon’s] past work together, [Could Be Worse] may be their best yet. On a deeper level, their chemistry has taken another step and allowed them to maximize their level of vulnerability.”Remixd

The Announcement:

After penning hits for artists across the hip-hop and R&B spectrum, Bizzy Crook is ready to defy the odds and become a superstar in his own right. The Grammy-winning Miami native delivers his finest work yet, sharing the tuneful and inspirational new album, Underdogs Win Eventually. The album is home to the buzzing new single “Could Be Worse,” a collaboration with Bizzy’s chief creative partner, Leon Thomas, with whom he wrote hits like “MUTT,” “Yes It Is,” and songs for other artists like Drake and GIVEON. Underdogs Win Eventually is available on all platforms via EZMNY Records.

Along with the album, Bizzy shares a brand new music video for “Could Be Worse.” The prolific songwriting duo, who have connected for songs that have won Grammys, BMI Awards, and much more, unite over a sample of Zapp’s “Be Alright,” famously used by 2Pac on his classic “Keep Ya Head Up,” to chronicle Bizzy’s journey through the dirt from underdog to alpha dog. The new clip showcases the chemistry between close friends Bizzy and Leon Thomas, as Bizzy ruminates in front of a mirror before joining Leon to perform the song and pose for a photoshoot.

A concept album that compares Bizzy’s underdog spirit to that of a plucky college football team, Underdogs Win Eventually is a showcase of the full breadth of Bizzy’s talent, with lyrics that reflect his hard-won wisdom and a suite of instrumentals designed to glisten in the Florida sunshine. Bizzy ties the album together with a series of skits that emphasize how much disrespect underdogs must overcome before they reach the top. Leon Thomas’s contributions range far beyond “Could Be Worse,” contributing a sweetly sung chorus to “Small Circles,” the soulful and self-reflective opening track, and giving a jolt of energy to “That’s Love,” sped up in the style of South Florida DJs like DJ Frisco.

Bizzy’s album is a showcase for his conversational rhymes and deep musicality, which is evident in songs like the acoustic guitar-flecked “Find The Feeling,” filled with matter-of-fact flexes, and the bass-heavy “Where I Know U From?,” which tells the story of Bizzy reuniting with old friends who didn’t believe he could succeed. On new highlight “Justified,” Bizzy goes toe-to-toe with Benny The Butcher, delivering a fierce verse to set up the Buffalo bruiser for one of his own. The album is also home to recent singles like “Risky,” a high-energy collaboration with fellow Floridians Rick Ross and C Stunna, “What Do U Like?,” a silky-smooth collaboration with his EZMNY CEO Ty Dolla $ign, which racked up over 1.6 million views, and “100%,” a breezy, danceable soul-sampler created in collaboration with Leven Kali.

Underdogs Win Eventually arrives amidst a crest of momentum for Bizzy Crook, whose collaborations with Leon Thomas have earned him well-deserved success and accolades. Bizzy Crook and Leon Thomas co-wrote every nearly every song on Leon’s breakthrough album MUTT, including the multi-Platinum, Billboard Top 10 hit title track, and Grammy-nominated highlights like “Vibes Don’t Lie” and “Yes It Is.” Bizzy earned one win at the 2026 Grammys, receiving a trophy for his contributions to MUTT, which won Best R&B Album. Most recently, Bizzy and Leon won a 2026 BMI Pop Award for their contribution to “Mutt.” In addition to his work with Leon Thomas, Bizzy has contributed to hits by artists like Drake, Kehlani, GIVEON, Coco Jones, Wale, and many others.

After a lifetime of being counted out, Bizzy Crook plans to prove his doubters wrong once and for all with Underdogs Win Eventually. With his crucial new album, Miami native has officially
