New Audible Treats Hip-Hop Podcast 166 Features C-Money, Devin Miles, Kilz, Black Milk, andĀ THE BLāˆ†CK HEāˆ†RTS CLUB

The Podcast:

The latest Audible Treats Hip-Hop Podcast starts with a banger from rising Bay Area star, C-Money.Ā ā€œKeep Up,ā€ is the latest single from C-Money’s forthcoming EP,Ā Just 4 You, which is set to drop November 18th. The track features Bay Area legendĀ Too $hort who teams up with C-Money andĀ producer DJ Kronics,Ā to lay down synth-laden, 808-heavy club banger, which draws its hook fromĀ Dr. Dreā€™sĀ ā€œLetā€™s Get High.ā€ With the bouncy nature of the track and the slick rhymes of both rappers, the song is bound to be an infectious nightclub classic. Following C-Money is Devin Miles with a track from the freshly releasedĀ PixburghĀ album. “Wishing Well” paints the story of haters and how having faith in something, no matter how small, canĀ change your luck and turn the hate into respect. The album has received much love as witnessed by successful campaign of singles including “Came Up,” and “Chess, Not Checkers.” The album explores “real-life” Pittsburgh as told by Devin, a story of struggle to make it in the industry and depict the true Pittsburgh beyond the stereotype of parties, cheesesteaks, and football hooligans. Next up on the podcast is PA rapper/producer KilzĀ of theĀ Moola Gang Ca$h Cow$ crew with a track off his recently released mixtape, Krak Kilz. From “trap-luxurious” bangers to hometown anthems Krak Kilz is dark, dingy, drug dealer’s dream and really pays tribute to the producer’s versatility.Ā YouHeardThatNew debuted the mixtape and argue that the tracks “could just as easily fit into the soundtrack of Friday, How High, or Pineapple Express.” Kilz’s track “Conceited” is featured on this week’s podcast and complements the diverse nature of the mixtape with a heavy boom bap beat. Fourth on the docket is the latest single from Black Milk’sĀ album,Ā If There’s A Hell Below,Ā which is available in vinyl, CD, and digital formats via Bandcamp.Ā The Detroit-bred rapper/producer reunited with hisĀ former group Random Axe (Black, Sean Price, and Guilty Simpson) in recording the single, “Scum”. The track showcases the talent of all three rappers as each MC uses a beat embodying a unique instrumental to spitĀ their own 16 bars of brilliance. The podcast concludes with the latest fromĀ THE BLāˆ†CK HEāˆ†RTS CLUB,Ā a collaborative project between producer/singer Lucho of the band Youth Sounds, Charlotte, North Carolina rapper Well$ and Congolese rapper/producer Alec Lomami. The trio have recorded their debut EP,Ā Insomnia, which is slated to be released in early 2015 via their labelĀ Immaculate Taste. The first single “Girl Tell Me Something” is featured on our podcast and debuted via Consequence of SoundĀ who state “Itā€™s a wildly enthusiastic song, feeling like something The Neptunes couldā€™ve dropped in their heyday.” This concludes the podcast for this week, stay tuned for future releases.
