Bay Area mainstay Iamsu! heads to Honolulu for “The Feel.“ Basking in the Hawaiian sun, Iamsu! reflects on his accomplishments as being one of The Bay’s leaders in hip-hop, from heading the HBK Gang to taking his sound to the national level. “The Feel” follows Iamsu!’s self-produced “Game Time” single, which he debuted live at halftime during a Sacramento Kings vs. L.A. Lakers game. Kings’ owner Vivek Ranadivé celebrated the third annual Bollywood Night at the arena and the performance was televised in India. Iamsu! is friends with and has collaborated with Vivek Ranadivé’s daughter, singer Anjali Wood.
With bangers like “The Feel” and “Famous,” which released last year and features Dej Loaf and K Camp, Kilt 3 is sure to shine as one of Iamsu!’s strongest projects to date. “Kilt 3 is the best project I’ve made,” Iamsu! says. “This year, I’m most excited about the project getting out… I’m at a very exciting time in my career. I’ve had some amazing high moments and I’m ready to take over. I’ve defined myself as an artist and it’s time to solidify my spot in music.”
Iamsu! has been teasing Kilt 3 for some time, having shared the cover art and tracklist on Instagram at the end of 2015. In addition to “Game Time,” Iamsu! shared loose single “DOGS,” produced by Trauma Tone. Last year, the producer/rapper shared his widely acclaimed Eyes On Me mixtape, which was accompanied by a national tour. With a consistent stream of hits rolled out in the past few years, fans can keep expecting more from the prolific Bay Area emcee in 2016.
