The Video:

An accomplished singing duo and in-demand songwriting team known for their sensual brand of R&B, Blaq Tuxedo create radio-ready records with impeccable harmonies and slick professionalism. Today, the brothers Darius and Dom Logan return with “Us,” a startlingly intimate new music video. A soft slow jam built over a descending jazz chord progression, “Us” is a tender ballad about trust and how couples can often bring the best out in one another. The video finds the two brothers emoting into the camera in close-up, singing under flickering light, intercut with images of a beautiful woman who represents the object of their affection. “Us” is a highlight from ABA (Art By Accident), their first studio release as Blaq Tuxedo (they previous performed as D&D), a diverse song collection with rap-n-b bangers of every stripe and flavor.

Born in Sacramento, Darius and Dom Logan started singing and writing together as young children, honing their skills until moving to L.A. in 2009 to become professional songwriters. After impressing the likes of Usher and Chris Brown with their abilities, the duo became one of the urban industry’s songwriting go-to’s, writing hits for Brown, Meek Mill, Ciara, August Alsina, Omarion, among others, and earning a Grammy nomination in 2014. With singles such as the skeletal club banger “Steeler,” and the Frank Ocean-sampling “Good Day,” ABA (Art By Accident) is a sexy synthesis of modern R&B, for-the-ladies hip-hop, and Alexander O’Neal-esque 1980s electro. ABA (Art By Accident) is the direct follow-up to Tap In, a mixtape released earlier in 2017. An electro-R&B odyssey hosted by DJ Carisma, Tap In was an ideal appetizer for ABA (Art By Accident) and an excellent piece of work in its own right.
