The Video:

A hard-working mixtape rapper and a blue-collar sensibility, Taylor Gang consigliere Chevy Woods recently relocated from Pittsburgh to Los Angeles and embraced the flashing lights. Spitting rapidfire over a ringing trap instrumental, Chevy shows off his new digs in the clip for “Bank Of America.” Stunting in his palm tree-laden abode and dancing in front of his luxury coupe, Chevy spits a double-time verse and shares the spotlight with a typically percussive Rich The Kid chorus. Premiered today on Taylor Gang’s official site, “Bank Of America” is the third visual from Chevy’s late 2016 mixtape Gang Shit Only, hosted by Trap-A-Holics, following the sunset-drenched clip for “Forever” and the block-beating clip for the tape’s title trackGang Shit Only is an appetizer for Taylor’d, Chevy’s upcoming debut album, out later this year.

Gang Shit Only capped off a busy 2016 for Chevy Woods, marked by plenty of new music and fruitful business partnerships. Chevy kicked off the year with …And The Story Goes, a four-part visual EP that chronicled his rise in the world of Hip-Hop. The in-demand emcee released a series of loose singles, including “Wit My Dogs another collab with Atlanta rapper Rich The Kid, “Myself,” featuring Sage The Gemini, and hypnotic solo records “6 Months Later and “I Made This Drunk.” Chevy also treated his fans to numerous freestyles over famous rap beats, including freestyles over Fat Joe & Remy Ma’sAll The Way Up” and Bryson Tiller’s “Don’t,” and appeared on several tracks on Taylor Gang’s compilation tape TGOD Vol. 1. Beyond music, Woods has recently been in the spotlight for his culinary skills, which have been featured by Edible Ink and First We Feastand he recently partnered with Ethika to release a signature line of men’s briefs. Fresh off his March Madness Tour, 2017 will be another big year for Chevy Woods, marked by the release of his debut album Taylor’d.

Chevy Woods Background:
An experienced rapper with a tireless work ethic, Chevy Woods represents for Pittsburgh with every release. First gaining notoriety as an associate of Wiz Khalifa, Chevy has gained a devoted fanbase through a decade’s worth of mixtapes and a busy touring schedule. In 2015, Chevy released The 48 Hunnid Project, his first retail release via Taylor Gang Ent. Named after the block he was raised on in the Hazelwood area of Pittsburgh, The 48 Hunnid Project is a legacy-defining EP that finds Woods taking listeners on a journey from the hard times and harsh realities that came in his early years leading into the lavish lifestyle that’s come more recently with world tours and fame. Chevy Woods followed up The 48 Hunnid Project, with a busy 2016, featuring numerous loose singles, freestyles over popular industry beats like Fat Joe and Remy Ma’s “All The Way Up” and Bryson Tiller’s “Don’t,” and highlighted by February’s And the Story Goes…, a 4-part video EP that finds Pittsburgh rapper reflecting on his adolescence and contemplating career paths. Beyond music, Woods has recently been in the spotlight for his culinary skills, which have been featured by Edible Ink and First We Feast. Chevy also made headlines when he partnered with California-based clothing brand Ethika for a line of signature men’s briefs. Chevy Woods will make more noise in 2017 with his upcoming full-length album, Taylor’d.
