Video: Ralo – “This One For”

The #Famerican General Executes a Successful Transaction in the HotNewHipHop-Premiered Video

10.06.2016

The Video:

With cosigns from all of Atlanta’s best and most respected rappers, Ralo is a torrent of high-pitched energy and a deep source of street knowledge and wisdom. Riding an energetic, melodic flow over piano-led trap produciton, and buttressed by shoutouts from Future, Ralo creates a hustler’s anthem with “This One For.” Premiered today by HotNewHipHop, the video single depicts a successful transaction in an abandoned Georgia warehouse, ending in a cliffhanger as Ralo asserts his authority. A highlight from Ralo’s Diary of the Streets II“This One For” is the latest in a long line of bangers from Ralo and proves why he is one of the most promising talents in the south.

The sequel to the popular Diary of the Streets mixtape, Diary of the Streets II was the culmination of a busy summer for the rapper. With production from from Southside, DJ Plugg, and Wheezy, the project delivers on what we have come to expect from Ralo: trap bangers with a strong melodic element and personal and introspective lyrics. Hosted by Birdman, Diary of the Streets II already spawned several quality singles, including the Future-featuring, Southside-produced banger “My Brothers,” which Noiseypremiered alongside a Q&A, “Survivor,” a solemn video single featuring Young Scooter, the heartfelt Shy Glizzy-featuring “Dear Your Honor,” and the Complex-premiered  Flexing on Purpose,a monstrous, lurching turn-up banger featuring Lil Uzi VertYoung Thug, and 21 Savage. Though that level of star power would dwarf a lesser artist, Ralo rises to the occasion, shining with his trademark charisma. Hosted by Birdman, to whom Ralo paid tribute in a recent music videoDiary of the Streets II is a monument to Ralo’s exalted stature in the Atlanta streets.
