Single: Suigeneris – “Brown Justin Bieber”

The 16-Year Old Bay Area Prodigy Shares the First Single, “Brown Justin Bieber” From His Concept Album Demons N Angels, Due 3/6 & Featuring Luh Kel, Yung Pinch, & Landon Cube

The Single & Announcement:

“I’m steady living like a boss,” Los Angeles by way of Bay Area prodigy Suigeneris asserts on his latest single, “Brown Justin Bieber.” The 16 year old— with nearly 300k monthly listeners on Spotify before he could legally drive a car—likens his rise to the uber-famous child prodigy, Justin Bieber himself. The track, produced by CitoOnTheBeat, also nods to Suie’s Mexican-American upbringing, with bars like, “I asked my abuelita, “make me mac n’ cheese?” / She won’t even make it, all she make is rice and beans / You know I just say f**k it, ’cause a young boy gotta eat.” Suie’s infectious charm is front and center on “Brown Justin Bieber,” so it’s only fitting that it be the lead single from his upcoming concept album Demons N Angels.

Demons N Angels is an album comprised of two EPs. On Demons, Suie flexes his rapping skills while on Angels, he’s in his R&B bag. Both EPs show Suie’s versatility: he’s a melodic prodigy, but he has bars. Demons N Angels is slated for a 3/6 release via EMPIRE.

Demonstrating the songwriting ability and precocious swag that endeared him to artists like Lil Skies and Landon Cube, Suigeneris’ last project Suinami has been streamed 20M across all platforms and offers features from NLE Choppa, TJ Porter, and Daddex. Kicking off with the outrageously confident “Frank Muller,” and its opening line “15, making six figures, are you ballin like this?”, Suinami is the ideal canvas for the young spitter to paint on, with instrumentals ranging from the hyperactive, piano-led beats of his home region to lurching trap to candy-coated SoundCloud-style backing tracks. The follow-up to The Cheat Code, Suie’s 2018 debut project, Suinami hosts the single Lucifer,” which has over 1.3 million views on YouTube and 627k Spotify streams. Following the album, Suiemade a standout appearance on frequent collaborator CitoOnTheBeat‘s biggest single, “Familiar,” alongside Tory Lanez and TJ Porter.

The Background:

Introduced to his hip-hop by his brothers, who are pursuing musical careers of their own, Suigeneris experienced his first taste of success at the young age of 13, when his video “Pull Up” caught fire in the Bay Area to the tune of 1.6 million YouTube views. Since then, Suie’s career trended ever upward. “Pull Up” caught the ear of Landon Cube, who brought Suie on as an opening act for his tour. Through Cube, Suie met Lil Skies, who appreciated Suie’s melodic mastery enough to collaborate with him on “Now” (6.2 million Spotify streams, 3.6 million YT views). Last summer, Suigeneris appeared on Complex’s Good Looking Out series, earning fans in YG and Karen Civil. Last week, Suie shared the video for “Purple Drip,” an energetic loose single, which already has more than 118k YouTube views. With over 363k followers on Instagram and Suinami ready to make a splash, Suie looks to kickstart his young career and become a household name.
