Bursting With Occult Imagery and Tinted with a Blood-Red Color Palette, “Kool Aid” is the Latest Video from Suigeneris’ Suinami Mixtape

The Video:
With a preternatural gift for infectious melody, 16-year-old Suigeneris is the Bay Area’s most talented teenager. Coming through with an unsettling and charismatic new video, Suigeneris shares “Kool Aid,“hosted on the ABOVE ALL channel on YouTube. Packed with gothic imagery and horror movie references, including Jason’s hockey mask from Friday The 13th and a white eye-mask that echoes Phantom of the Opera, “Kool Aid” finds Suigeneris in an evil mood, emanating devious charm amidst a red-and-black color-scheme that mirrors his distinctive hairstyle. A minor-key anthem for all the stunters, “Kool Aid” is a highlight from Suinami, Suie’s most recent project.
Demonstrating the songwriting ability and precocious swag that endeared him to artists like Lil Skies and Landon Cube, who accompanied him during his No Jumper interview, Suigeneris’ new project Suinami earned more than 3.5 million streams in its first week of release and the project has earned over 14 million streams in total. Kicking off with the outrageously confident “Frank Muller,” and its opening line “15, making six figures, are you ballin like this?”, Suinami is the ideal canvas for the young spitter to paint on, with instrumentals ranging from the hyperactive, piano-led beats of his home region to lurching trap to candy-coated SoundCloud-style backing tracks.
The follow-up to The Cheat Code, Suie’s 2018 debut project, Suinami hosts the single “Lucifer,” which has over 1.5 million views on YouTube and 906k Spotify streams. The project also hosted several video singles, including the Stranger Things-themed “Slime,” the fun-loving “Cap 2 Much,” romantic “Feel The Same,” the demonic video for “Selfish,”and the cheekily funny video for “Dancin.” Featuring appearances from NLE Choppa, DaBoii, Lildaddex, TJ Porter, and Jasper, Suinami streams via EMPIRE.
Last month, Suigeneris hopped on “Familiar,” by Citoonthebeat, which also features appearances by Tory Lanez and TJ Porter.

The Background:
Introduced to his hip-hop by his brothers, who are pursuing musical careers of their own, Suigeneris experienced his first taste of success at the young age of 13, when his video “Pull Up” caught fire in the Bay Area to the tune of 1.6 million YouTube views. Since then, Suie’s career trended ever upward. “Pull Up” caught the ear of Landon Cube, who brought Suie on as an opening act for his tour. Through Cube, Suie met Lil Skies, who appreciated Suie’s melodic mastery enough to collaborate with him on “Now” (6.2 million Spotify streams, 3.6 million YT views). Last summer, Suigeneris appeared on Complex’s Good Looking Out series, earning fans in YG and Karen Civil. Last week, Suie shared the video for “Purple Drip,” an energetic loose single, which already has more than 118k YouTube views. With over 363k followers on Instagram and Suinami ready to make a splash, Suie looks to kickstart his young career and become a household name.
