Singles: SonReal – “Super Size” + “Problems”
The Award-Winning Vancouver-Based Artist Shares the Gently Plucked, Radio Ready “Problems” and the Harder-Edged Banger “Supersize”
Critical Praise for SonReal:
“It’s about time you got familiar with the Vancouver rapper who is on his way to becoming one of the biggest rap exports from Canada.” – Noisey
“SonReal’s unique, developed flow allows him to lay out his style of everyman rap successfully.” – The Source
“As always, SonReal’s writing crowd-pleasing hip hop, but The Name EP reveals how good he is at it.” – UnsungSundays
A versatile, Canadian phenom with tens of millions of streams, SonReal is coming over the border to conquer the American rap game. Showcasing his smooth voice and effortless feel for melody, SonReal gifts his legion of fans with two unique new singles. Emoting over gently-plucked acoustic guitar and soaring, synthesized strings, SonReal empathizes with the world’s dream chasers on “Problems.” Sharing tales from his come-up during his short verses, he offers words of assurance on the chorus: “Everybody’s got some problems,” he sings, “not just you and me.” In addition to “Problems,” SonReal shares the harder-edged, more hip-hop focused “Supersize.” Flashing a melodic flow over an infectious electric guitar riff, SonReal asserts his dominance over the music game, singing about the substantial room for growth for his already large fanbase. Premiered by Earmilk, “Problems” and “Supersize” are the latest releases from SonReal’s upcoming album One Long Dream, releasing via Black Box, following “Potential,” a soaring ballad with a China-set video, which Apple Music added to its “Best of the Week” playlist and Spotify added to its “Pop All Day” playlist.
Born in British Columbia, the multi-talented SonReal is one of the biggest stars in Canadian music, earning 6 nominations at the Juno Awards and 10 nominations and 1 win at the MuchMusic Video Awards. He has headlined numerous tours in the US and Canada and most recently opened for Jon Bellion on his sold out NA Tour. Gaining inroads into the American market through streaming, SonReal tailored One Long Dream for mass consumption, with uplifting messages and brilliant melodies delivered through his smooth and distinctive voice. Building upon the momentum from the popular “Can I Get A Witness?“, which dominated the radio and sold platinum in Canada, One Long Dream will expose SonReal to a hungry American audience. Featuring production from Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds, Rahki (Kendrick, YG, Schoolboy Q), DJ Kahlil (Dr Dre, Anderson Paak, Eminem) and others, One Long Dream will hit stores later this summer.

Born in the small town of Vernon, British Columbia, SonReal is poised to be the next great Canadian export. A YouTube sensation, SonReal’s first video boasted the best talent show sequence since Napoleon Dynamite and racked up over a million plays in the first month. His next mixtape, the Juno-nominated For The Town, continued the visual tradition, including some of the most creative music videos on the web in “Preach,” “For The Town,” and “Woah Nilly.” After completing an American tour and signing to a major label, SonReal began to work on his debut album, One Long Dream. The first single of the project “Can I Get A Witness” was an instant success, achieving platinum status and entering the Top 15 in Canadian pop radio. SonReal immediately jumped onto Jon Bellion’s sold out Human Condition tour, and then headlined his own No Warm Up Tour. Already a 6-time Juno Award nominee and 10-time MMVA nominee, as well as a MMVA winner for Best Music Video of The Year, for “Everywhere We Go,” SonReal is primed for takeover in both Canada and the US.
