Spitting aggressive rhymes through his tightly-wrapped hoodies, there’s nothing Florida rapper $NOT can’t do–but for all his creativity, the 23-year-old rapper can flat out spit when he wants to. Showing off his rapidfire rhymes over a hyperactive instrumental, $NOT shares “GO!,“ his new video single. Faced with arpeggiating synths and syncopated handclaps courtesy of producer Dee B, $NOT attacks the instrumental head on, heeding his own titular imperative as he goes in with fast-paced triplets, swerving from references to Magic School Bus and Malcolm In The Middle to unleashing nonchalantly intimidating stunts. In the video, $NOT cruises through the city with his homies in a canary yellow whip. He survives an encounter with the infamous Chucky The Doll, who enthusaistically joins the rapper’s crew after he decides he could never be as bad as $NOT.

“GO!” is $NOT’s first release since dropping “RED,” a soulfully melodic anthem that shows the rapper’s softer side, and follows in the wake of “Whipski,” a collaboration with Lil Skies with a Cole Bennett-directed music video that racked up over 10 million views. The 23-year-old rapper raised his profile in 2021 after a breakout 2020, making his Billboard Hot 100 debut with his appearance on the GOLD-certified “Tell Em” by Cochise, connecting with Kevin Abstract and slowthai for Abstract’s acclaimed single “SLUGGER,” and earning placements on the cover of publications like Miami New Times, VIPER Mag, KAZI, and PREME. $NOT showed off his live performance chops over the summer at festivals like Rolling Loud Miami, Firefly, and Lyrical Lemonade’s Summer Smash, and nearly completed the U.S. leg of his headlining “WORLD TOUR,” which continues through Rolling Loud California in San Bernardino in December and moves across the pond to Europe for a series of dates in 2022.
