Rising to the top of the rap game at lighting speed, Sexyy Red is a master at making uncompromising bangers. Today, she shares the video for In Sexyy We Trust highlight “Fake Jammin.” Released live via Kai Cenat‘s Twitch stream, the video finds Sexyy feeling confident as ever, asserting her position at the top and certain that she’ll get what she wants: “I’m real conceited, since first grade, I been that b*tch / You got a girl, boo, it’s cool, I ain’t gon’ tell her sh*t / We go together now, mwah, give me a kiss.” The video is set in Sexyy’s hometown of St. Louis where she takes the stage for the “Sexyy 4 President Tour” before taking her crew out on the town where they turn a Wendy’s restaurant into “Sexyy’s.”
The “Fake Jammin” video arrives ahead of the official launch of Sexyy’s Northside Princess lip gloss line this Friday November 29th at 9am PT/12pm ET, at northsideprincess.com. Sexyy Red recently finished touring the United States on the “Sexyy 4 President Tour,” the biggest hip-hop tour of the summer, with support from Kodak Black, Hunxho, Loe Shimmy, Blakeiana, and special guests including Gucci Mane, Lil Durk, Ice Spice, Boosie Badazz, and Cash Cobain. The tour showcased new material from Sexyy’s new album, In Sexyy We Trust, which features hit singles “Get It Sexyy” and “U My Everything” ft. Drake. Filled with engaging anthems that showcase her raw lyrics and chantable choruses, the new mixtape furthers the St. Louis native’s mission to #MakeAmericaSexyyAgain. Executive-produced by Tay Keith and Drumatized, the follow-up to 2023’s breakout Hood Hottest Princess peaked at #17 on the Billboard 200, and has spent 10 weeks on the chart.
Sexyy Red won big at the 2024 BET Hip-Hop Awards, earning the coveted award for “Best Breakthrough Hip-Hop Artist,” and scoring nominations for “Album of the Year” (In Sexyy We Trust), and “Song of the Year” (“Get It Sexyy”). Earlier this year, Sexyy Red earned 5 BET Award nominations, including nominations for “Best Female Hip-Hop Artist” and “Best New Artist.”
