Known for his production work as one half of FKi, SauceLord Rich is as skilled behind the mic as he is behind the boards on his album Know Me: King Wolf, premiered today by Mass Appeal. The album is masterfully constructed, each song smoothly running into the next while also giving a new and distinct flavor. Known for his versatility in production as a member of FKi, Rich melds various genres and styles in his solo career, fusing them with the characteristics of Atlanta Hip-Hop. Demonstrating versatility in songwriting and rapping in addition to his production, Rich percussively spits over grandiose boasts on some tracks, and uses a defter hand on others, addressing issues that often go unmentioned in hip-hop, including suicide, PTSD, and mental health. On Know Me: King Wolf, Saucelord Rich proves that he can hang with the best rappers and best producers on the planet.
Know Me: King Wolf is SauceLord Rich realizing his artistic vision, arriving fully-formed into the foreground after years behind the scenes. He hinted at the grand vision for the album with two singles, including “Winner Time” ft. Post Malone, a slow paced anthem about being the coldest in the game that showed his ability to take it slow, and the lead single “Too Late,” premiered by Hypetrak earlier this month, a rock tinged trap banger showcasing his natural talent for flexing.
