Short Film: Rah Swish – BK Juice
The Canarsie Native Follows Up His 2020 BK Belly Short Film As He Prepares to Release 6/16 MAYOR OF THE STREETS Project
“As the New York City street rap renaissance continues, it seems like new guys are coming around every corner with a banger. Enter Rah Swish, whose latest song, ‘Treeshin’,’ is a stereo system’s dream: bass-heavy, belligerent, and demanding to be cranked to max volume.” – Pitchfork
“New York’s Secret Weapon” – Kazi Magazine
On the come up as a New York drill rap star, Rah Swish can do more than just spit fire, Paying tribute to a 1992 2Pac-starring classic, Rah Swish shares BK Juice, his new short film. Connecting with fellow New York rapper Ron Suno and members of his own crew, Rah puts a Brooklyn spin on the cult classic, portraying a classic story of ego, greed, and the ultimate betrayal. Directed and produced by legendary Trackmasters duo Poke and Tone, BK Juice is the follow-up to last year’s BK Belly, inspired by the 1998 Hype Williams-directed and DMX-starring film–BK Juice picks up where the cliffhanger left off.
Enhancing its compelling and engrossing narrative, BK Juice features new music from Rah Swish’s upcoming project MAYOR OF THE STREETS, out next week. The follow-up to last year’s WOO Forever project, MAYOR OF THE STREETS finds Rah Swish projecting a supernatural aura of confidence with his nimble flows and energetic ad-libs. The project is home to recent singles like “WOO IT AGAIN,” “Woo Back,” and “Warm Ups,” as well as “HASHTAG RS” with Ron Suno, a standout track from the project that appears in BK Juice.
Born and raised on the same Canarsie streets that birthed his close friend and WOO associate Pop Smoke, Rah Swish is a prominent pillar of the city’s ascendant drill scene. Rah made a splash last year with his WOO Forever project, home to street hits like “Feel Like Pop,” “Tongue Out (Treeshin’ 2),” and “WOO Forever,“ WOO Forever proved that Rah Swish is more than capable of keeping the WOO alive. The rapper turned heads later in the year with the Aaliyah-sampling “Watchu Like,” a sultry collaboration with Bronx rapper Dream Doll, racking up over 2.6 million YouTube views.
With the upcoming MAYOR OF THE STREETS, Rah Swish looks to solidify his status as NYC’s next up. Featuring an appearance from Smokepurpp and appearances from from fellow New Yorkers Ron Suno, Fetty Luciano, Leeky G Bando, and Young Costomado, and production from NYC legends the Trackmasters, along with local figures like Jbanga, Jetz, and more, MAYOR OF THE STREETS arrives on June 16th via WOO ENT. / EMPIRE

Hailing from Canarsie, Brooklyn, Rah Swish is one of the first to carve out the newfound drill scene in New York City. Rah Swish teamed up with childhood friends to make a rap collective named N.B.A., which stood for “Never Broke Again.” After garnering millions of views on group songs, Rah began to release music as a solo act and built a highly engaged core following with early standout records like “Debo,” “Back Up,” “This & That,” and “Double It” with Pop Smoke. Dropping his first body of work in 2019 entitled “Look What They Started,” Rah quickly began to catapult to new heights with the breakout single “Treeshin’,” which became the unapologetic theme song for thotty activity all over his city and reached 2 million views on Youtube in a matter of months. In 2020, Rah has continued to put New York on notice with standout videos like “Too Much” featuring Bizzy Banks,“War Time” and “Who Run The City”. Rah draws inspiration from 50 Cent, Lil Wayne, Jay-Z, Drake, and of course, Rah Swish. WOO!
