Press Release

🏆📀 For Your “Best of 2018” Lists: Audible Treats’ Best Singles of the Year 🎧 🏆

🙏🏼 For Your “Best of 2018 List” Consideration: Our Strongest Singles of the Year 📓

2018 was a year full of change for me both personally and professionally. Ironically, one of the highlights, which is seeing our society hold people and companies more accountable, has created “more work” for us as publicists but I see that as good change. More highlights include seeing the stigma of mental health decrease overall, especially in hip hop. Artists who would never think to open up to professionals back in the day for being of being viewed as soft or a snitch are telling me the benefits of seeing their therapists.

On a personal level, Gavin and I are very grateful for the new team members, Scott, Kierra, and Erin, who joined the AT family this year. Along with Dan, who’s been with us since 2016, the vibes in the office are so great and the work keeps us so engaged. It’s become a running joke for one of us to incredulously blurt aloud every single day, “How is it 4pm already?!” Time flies when you’re doing damage control.

Pathetic PR jokes aside, we are truly grateful for the support you give our artists this year and every year. Thank you for believing in them and for helping to make their dreams come true.

❤️, Michelle, Gavin, Scott, Kierra, Erin, Dan, and our hard-working intern from Northeastern, Julien.

💔 P.S. RIP to Mochi, our Pug/Jack Russell mix of 15 years, who always kept a warm spot on the couch for visitors.

WATCH | LISTEN | ASSETS | PR

Harnessing his masterful sense of melody and raw lyricism, Lil Durk leveled up into a bonafide national rap star in 2018. Returning to his Chicago roots, Durk shined a spotlight on the little guy in “Neighborhood Hero,” an emotional and inspirational single from Signed To The Streets 3. Spinning a effortlessly catchy, halting flow, Durk expounds on what it means to be a hero in a poverty-stricken neighborhood over a subdued instrumental, reaching the top ten in Apple Music’s daily streaming charts upon release. The featured song on Spotify’s Off The Strength playlist (615k followers) in November, “Neighborhood Hero” inspired a series of videos in which Durk and other artists, including Meek MillTrae Tha Truth, and Nipsey Hussle, highlight their efforts towards improving their communities.

Young Dolph – “Major” ft. Key Glock
WATCH | LISTEN | ASSETS | PR

Proudly and fiercely independent, Young Dolphknows that it takes more than a record contract to make a major artist. Culminating a slow and steady rise from childhood poverty to rap moguldom, Dolph entered a lucrative partnership with EMPIRE, maintaining his indie status and freeing himself from the artistic and financial restraints of a typical record deal. Celebrating his freedom, Young Dolph triumphantly asserted his supremacy with “Major” (13.4 million plays on Spotify and 22 million views on YouTube), the lead single from his Role Model album. Featuring an appearance from his Paper Route EMPIRE signee Key Glock, “Major” finds Dolph taking shots at industry bigwigs and major label rappers, as well as flexing his olympic level stunting ability: “4s on the Mercedes, that’s major/Whole gang going crazy, that’s major/Millions on the table, that’s major/I turned dirt into diamonds, that’s major.”

In the first verse, Maxo recalls his tumultuous and poverty-stricken upbringing, while the second verse reveals Maxo’s state-of-mind during 2017’s devastating Hurricane Harvey, which nearly destroyed his mother’s home. With nearly 8 million streams on Spotify alone and praise from the likes of Pitchfork and Stereogum, “Roaches” re-entered the public consciousness with an inventive and ambitious music video in early November.

STREAM | WATCH | ASSETS | PR

Praised by Pitchfork, who raved “Bronson proves he’s still one of rap’s most vivid trash-talkers, bragging about his Lamborghini trucks, red leather jackets, and the 20 alligator hides that went into making his shoes, while comparing his musical swagger to Tiger Woods’ smooth swing and his ladies-man status to that of Taye Diggs,” “White Bronco” boasts production from Daringer and instrumentation from The SVU Band.

With more than 10 million streams on all platforms, “Jungle” finds the Jacksonville native vulnerable and defiant, doing what he can to overcome his circumstances, and reflecting on a horrific personal tragedy in which three of his best friends died. Action Bronson wears a lot of hats, from chef, to TV host, to author, but there’s one label that he likes best: rap star. On White Bronco, the Queens-born multi-hyphenate’s first independent album since 2012, Bronson reckons with success, throwing himself into his art and fine-tuning his reference-packed lyrics. Boasting an off-kilter guest spot from A$AP Rocky, the album finds Bronson rhyming atop eclectic production from KnxwledgeDaringerSamiyam, and Bronson’s longtime collaborator Party Supplies. Described by Passion of the Weissas “a more cohesive embodiment of his sound and style than any other album in his discography,” the music of White Broncoresembles the album’s cover, with art painted by Action Bronson himself–it has jagged edges, bright colors, and a frightening sense of sharp wit.

    Sahbabii – Squidtastic
    STREAM | BUY | ASSETS | PR

Blending tough-talking lyrics with sugary and bright sonics, SahBabii creates an infectiously melodic brand of trap music. On his latest album Squidtastic, Sahbabii dives deep into his insular undersea haven, with his brother T3 as the only guest, as the Atlanta native uses the language of trap music to make something unique and beautiful. Raved Pitchfork in their Overlooked Albums list for Summer 2018, “In the world of SahBabii’s Squidtastic, the Atlanta rapper’s vivid imagery sounds like it belongs in a Miyazaki film, his weapon of choice is a ninja star, and all animals are to be cherished. It’s ridiculous and there is no place I would rather find myself lost in.” The project boasts highlights like the warm and spritely “Sunny Days,” the introspective and vulnerable “Tall,” complete with atonal acoustic guitar, and the Latin-inflected for-the-ladies jam “Army.” With Squidtastic, Sahbabii proves that he is much more than the man who made “Pull Up Wit Ah Stick,” asserting himself as a bright and positive force in the often-bleak world of trap music.

    ODIE – Analogue
    STREAM | BUY | ASSETS | PR

Concocting a goosebumps-inducing hybrid of hip-hop, Afrobeat, jazz, soul, and electronic, Canadian artist ODIE is a game-changing talent. Capturing his sound in an eclectic collection of ten tracks, ODIE’s debut project Analogueapproaches urban music from a new angle, emphasizing angelic harmonies and making masterful use of negative space. Alternating between his floating singing voice and his booming rhythmic delivery, Analogue is an inspiring beginning to the 22-year-old artist’s career, collecting expansive singles such as the gorgeous pop song “Little Lies,” the smoothly syncopated “Night Terrific!,”  the effortless-sounding lazy Sunday R&B jam “North Face” (3.1 million plays on Spotify), featured on OVO Sound Radio, and the Afro-bounce of “Faith,” into a cohesive and compelling whole. “Odie’s sonic lineage is traceable, but the end result is distinctly unique: Not many twenty-somethings can rival his range, which encompasses everything from stunts and flexes to heavenly melodies,” raved Pigeons & Planes.

    The Background:

Every artist dreams of having a meaningful exchange with their inspiration. Lil Wop was sought out by his. For years, the energetic spitter was drawn to Gucci Mane’s honesty, fearlessness, and nimble delivery. Less than a year ago, the prolific and veteran hit-maker reached out to the Atlanta-based rapper with the Wopavelli mixtape series. “He was like, ‘I want to sign you; I don’t care what it takes,’” the younger artist recalls. When Big Guwop checked out the “Lost My Mind” video on Worldstar, he was one of the millions who were captivated. Lil Wop possesses an attitude and confidence in his blunt verses. On that viral hit, he compared himself to his idol in the opening lines. With his trademark gruff delivery, Wop seemed to already be living out a rockstar’s lifestyle, while never abandoning his Trap roots. “I was at a loss for words with the whole situation,” he recalls. He soon signed with 1017 Eskimo/Alamo Records. Over a year later on Halloween 2018, Lil Wop released Wopavelli 4, his biggest and most focused project. On the heels of gripping video singles, “Pint Of Blood” and “Hugh Hefner,” the rapper who clawed his way into his position steers the course with an energetic and eerie 19-track tape.

    The Video:

Paving his own lane with a bass-heavy and warped brand of trap, Lil Wop stands out in ATL’s new wave with his distorted beats and croaking vocals. Providing the ideal visual representation of his monster movie trap, Lil Wop shares Extensions,” his latest high-concept, horror-themed music video. Evoking such classic horror characters as Frankenstein and Michael Myers, Wop starts the video in suspended animation, floating in an aquatic chamber as scientists discuss his fate. As the music starts, Wop jolts to life, brandishing a firearm and unsettling his scientific observers. Produced by ChaseTheMoney, “Extensions” is a blown-out banger, with Wop croaking his way around aggressive stabs of synth bass. “Extensions” is the latest video from Wopavelli 4Wop’s latest opus, which blends elements of trap, horrorcore, and metal.

Packed with eerie, mind-expanding beats from ChaseTheMoneyBrodinskiDigital NasAyo, and others, Wopavelli 4 finds the young rapper stretching the limits of his voice, crafting clipped and distorted bangers, enhanced by his signature vocal fray. The tape features the previously released single Hugh Hefner,” a bite-sized banger with a hedonistic video, which received an XXL premiere for its video in late July, as well as “Ghoul,” which dropped shortly afterward and has over 200k YouTube views. With Lil Wop holding down the mixtape’s 19 tracks, including highlights such as the menacing “Don’t Step On My Saint-Laurents” and the satanic “Cult,” and featuring an appearance from Big AdolfWopavelli 4 hits digital distributors courtesy of 1017 Eskimo/Alamo.

Born and raised in Chicago, Louis MacPherson grew up idolizing local heroes like Chief Keef, Fredo Santana, and G Herbo, but he held a special place in his heart for Gucci Mane. Naming himself Lil Wop, a play on Gucci’s nickname Guwop, Lil Wop dedicated himself to his rap career when he moved to Atlanta, recording and shooting videos on a regular clip. Eventually, his video for “Lost My Mind” caught the ear of Gucci Mane himself, who signed Wop to his fledgling 1017 Eskimo label. Since the signing, Lil Wop has rapidly expanded his fanbase on the strength of his Wopavelli mixtape series, culminating with the pure evil Wopavelli 4.

Key Glock Announces Glockoma Mixtape, Hitting the Internet on Glock Friday (11/23) via Paper Route EMPIRE

The Rapidly Rising Street Star Teams With Tay Keith, His City’s Hottest Producer, for the “Yea!!” Single

    11.19.2018

    Critical Praise:

“Dolph’s most prominent PRE signee [Key Glock] shows why he’s next up out of Memphis with tons of fun punchlines, cutting insults and a versatile delivery style that is in its own way as forceful as his label boss” – Noisey

“Key Glock is Memphis’s best new lyricist.” – The FADER

“Key Glock raps with an authoritative wisdom well beyond his age” – The FADER

“[Key Glock] will inevitably be on your radar in the months to come… he has a way with words that stick and resonate with his steadily growing fanbase.” – Karen Civil

“… unparalleled lyrical style and fierce approach” – ELEVATOR

    The Announcement:

Running up his monthly Spotify listener count to over 1 million fans, Key Glock specializes in visceral, no-bullshit street music. Returning for his third mixtape and his second tape of 2018, Glock announces the Glockomamixtape. Teaming up with a squadron of A-List producers, including Drake’s favorite new beatmaker Tay Keith, Glock adds to his collection of sharply-written bangers. Sticking close to Glock’s favorite topics–smoking Backwoods blunts, cooking dope, counting cash–the new mixtape is a product of Glock’s fierce charisma, as he reaches levels of flexing comparable to his Paper Route EMPIRE boss Young Dolph. The follow-up to February’s swaggering Glock Bond, which has over 39.7 million combined streams on Spotify, Glockoma arrives on Glock FridayNovember 23rd.

To build up a frenzy for his upcoming Thanksgiving offering, Key Glock unites with Tay Keith for Yea!!,” his latest single. Previously collaborating on some of Glock’s best known songs, including Russian Cream” (15.6 million streams on Spotify) and Orville Redenbacher” (1.4 million views on YouTube), “Yea!!” is another banger, as Key Glock dials up his energy level, shouting about his new whip, his massive collection of diamond rings, and his burgeoning mogul status: “Bitch I’m bout it, bout it/You can call me Master Key/Who? Me? Bitch, I’m Master Key/But I’m still a P/Youngin’ off the leash.”

    The Background:

A recognized figure in Memphis, Key Glock grew up idolizing the music of Gucci Mane and Lil Wayne. Glock created the unofficial crew Whole Lotta Errthang with his two best friends in high school, capturing the spirit of a popular Memphis saying. “Everybody knew we had a whole bunch of things going on,” remarked Glock. “we rolled with that, but we were living too fast.” Tragically, one of the members of his crew was gunned down at the age of 16. “Me and Ken [the other surviving member] ain’t even 21 yet, but we’ve seen and done so much. But you know: God does everything for a reason.” As Glock turned to music and began to develop his craft, his cousin-by-marriage Young Dolph began to take off. After facing an aggravated robbery charge and 90-day sentence in 2015, Key Glock was approached by Dolph and his business manager Daddyo to join Paper Route Empire. With PRE’s support behind him, Glock’s first single “On My Soul” has garnered 320,000 plays on WorldStarHipHop’s Youtube channel, and 235,000 plays on Soundcloud. With the release of Glock Season, Key Glock continues to smash through the southern rap scene. Stay tuned for more heat from Key Glock.

    EMPIRE Background:

EMPIRE was founded in 2010 as an artist-friendly, progressive digital distribution company. After early success, and identifying future icons such as Kendrick LamarAnderson .Paak, and Rich Homie Quan, EMPIRE was quickly regarded as a tastemaker in the industry and throughout the past five years evolved into a full-fledged record label, distributor and publisher for independent musicians. With the company and roster growing at a breakneck pace, EMPIRE has effectively disrupted a stale business model by bringing its energy, expertise, and acumen to its artists and labels. Today, EMPIRE works with some of music’s hottest talent, ranging from superstars such as T.I. and Snoop Dogg, red-hot newcomers such as SOB X RBE and Mozzy, and established veterans like Jim Jones and Redman. While remaining 100% independent, EMPIRE has also partnered with Atlantic Records for a joint venture, home to breakout star D.R.A.M. and propelled singles by Fat Joe & Remy Ma (“All The Way Up,” 2x Platinum), Tyga(“Taste,” 3x Platinum), and Lil Duval (“Smile”) to the top of the Billboard Hip-Hop Charts. In April 2018, EMPIRE signed a global distribution deal with Universal Music Group for select artist projects.

    J. Stalin & Dj.Fresh Explore the Flip Sides of Hood Life in a New Double Album, New Video Premiered by XXL

    Album: J. Stalin & Dj.Fresh – Miracle & Nightmare On 10th Street Part 2

The West Oakland Rapper Paints a Lyrical Picture of His Life as a Father and CEO Over Dj.Fresh’s Smooth Samples in This Sequel to a 2013 Project; Shares “Nightmare on 10th Street Returns” Video

    11.16.2018

    Critical Praise:

“Vibrant and exploding with personality, J. Stalin is a knowing, mischievous wise-ass whose charisma hangs between unapologetic cockiness and the ability to cut through rap’s fantasy-addled drug fetishism and provide sobering reality.”Pitchfork

    “One of Oakland’s illest MCs”XXL

“As the owner of Livewire Records, West Oakland rapper J Stalin provides a place for the growth of incredibly creative, meat-and-potatoes Bay Area hip-hop. The label hosts gritty rubbery street music that navigates crack dealing devastation and grounded partying tracks with equal aplomb, with artists that range from Stalin himself to MCs like Shady Nate and Philthy Rich among others.” – SPIN

“This is what Stalin does: he takes things–sounds, human beings, grocery stores–and warps them into something extraterrestrial. It’s eerie, but you’re dancing anyway.”Passion of the Weiss

    The Album:

With a well-worn and electric studio chemistry, Bay Area icons J. Stalin and Dj.Fresh have collaborated for a long list hard-hitting albums. Reuniting for their 9th and 10th albums, Stalin and Dj.Fresh share Miracle & Nightmare on 10th Street Part 2. The sequel to Fresh and Stalin’s Miracle & Nightmare on 10th Street, which reached #28 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart upon its release in 2013, Part 2 spans two 10-track discs, each organized on the the nightmare and miracle of life in Stalin’s neighborhood in Oaktown. Packed with detailed street stories, creative brags and threats, and memorable turns-of-phrase, Miracle & Nightmare on 10th Street Part 2 brims with electricity, as Dj.Fresh provides a bright electro-funk backdrop for the Miracle disc and an aggressive, bass-heavy mob soundscape for the Nightmare disc. Prior to the album’s release, Stalin shared the sinister and violent Nightmare on 10th Street Returns,” which kicks off the Nightmare disc, and Living Lavish,” a luxurious, HYPEBEAST-premiered ode to the good life from the Miracle disc. The upcoming album boasts a quintessentially Bay Area guestlist, with appearances from Beeda Weeda, Shady Nate, Juneonnabeat, Mitchy Slick, and other East Bay stalwarts. The follow-up to Stalin’s Tears of Joy 2, released earlier in 2018,and following Dj.Fresh’s 2018 collaborations with Rydah J Klyde, Jay Worthy, and Zion IMiracle & Nightmare on 10th Street releases via Livewire/EMPIRE.

To accompany the release of the album, Stalin shares the video for “Nightmare on 10th Street Returns” via an XXL premiere. Filmed through a dark and grainy filter, the new video mimics the horror and uncertainty of life in the hood. Rocking a bowler hat and a red-and-black striped sweater, imitating the iconic look of Nightmare on Elm Street villain Freddie Krueger, as he prepares to bury a body in the California desert. Beginning with a glorious instrumental synth intro, showing off the musical chops of Dj.Fresh, “Nightmare On 10th Street Returns” is the ideal intro for the album, illustrating the rough life in West Oakland and Stalin’s struggles to make a better life for his wife and son.

24hrs Teams with Hit-Boy & Ty Dolla $ign For His Breezy Debut Album Houses On The Hill

Album: 24hrs – Houses On The Hill

The Artist Embraces the Sound and Lifestyle of the West Coast on His Studio Debut, Executive-Produced by Ty Dolla $ign & Hit-Boy, and Featuring YG, Lil Pump & More

    11.16.2018

    Critical Praise:

“Without any context, 24hrs’ music is like listening to an alien who recently landed on Earth, heard some songs by Young Thug, Jeremih, and Rae Sremmurd, and started making his own. It draws from the current sounds in hip-hop and R&B, but there’s something slightly off about it, and this is what makes it so interesting.”-  Pigeons & Planes

    The Album:

One of the most unique and promising rap-n-b stalwarts of the past couple years, 24hrs enjoyed a steady rise in popularity when he discovered his signature high-pitched auto-tuned sound. Perfecting and refining the luxurious aesthetic that earned him over 700k monthly listeners on Spotify, 24hrs shares Houses On The Hill, his debut album. Executive produced by super-producer Hit-Boy (Jay-Z, Kanye West, Kendrick Lamar) and Ty Dolla $ignHouses On The Hill is a glistening soundscape, alternating high definition riders’ anthems, ideal for top down cruising, with sensitive bedroom jams. Though 24hrs traces his roots to Atlanta, Houses On The Hill reflects 24’s new life on the West Coast, the perfect complement to the Pacific Ocean breeze and Cali kush. The new album boasts the hot single Lie Detector,” which features a guest turn from Lil Pump and has over 10.3 million plays on Spotify, as well as the Caribbean-inflected “Met Gala,” featuring PnB Rock, and the cavernous throwback “No Signal,” featuring Roy Wood$. Featuring additional appearances from Ty Dolla $ign, 24’s younger brother MadeInTYO, YG, Smokepurpp, Dom Kennedy, Vic Mensa, and Jay 305Houses On The Hill is currently available for stream and purchase.

Formerly a rapper performing as Royce Rizzy, Robert Davis found a new sound when he accidentally sped up one of his more melodic tracks, revealing a high-pitched and hooky new voice. Adopting the new vocal approaching and shrouding his identity in mystery, 24hrs started to pick up momentum in 2016, earning praise from the likes of Pigeons & Planes and The FADER, and building a huge fanbase on SoundCloud. Since then, 24hrs developed a reputation for bright sonics, flashy lyrics, and endless hooks, winning a massive fan in Ty Dolla $ign and collaborating with the likes of Wiz Khalifa, Rick RossYoung ThugWale, and Machine Gun Kelly, and growing his musical rapport with his brother MadeInTYO.

wifisfuneral Chills with the Bride of Chucky in the Disorienting “Been 2 Hell & Back” Video

Video: wifisfuneral – “Been 2 Hell & Back”

The South Florida Native and 2018 XXL Freshman Follows Up Leave Me The Fuck Alone EP with a Video for a Highlight From Ethernet Vol. 1, His June Mixtape

    11.15.2018

    Critical Praise:

    XXL Freshman, Class of 2018

“[wifisfuneral] displays an impressive array of verbal acrobatics, showing off masterful breath control and a rapid fire flow.”  – Pitchfork

“He’s synthesized the regionless, borderless world of the internet age from which he takes his name, while lacing it with a narcotically addictive flow and a distinct ear for melody that’s allowed him to develop while others stagnate.” – NOISEY

“The young rapper has a wide range of skills, from agile raps and bass-heavy tracks to dark and moody slow-burners, and his unpredictability is part of his appeal” – Pigeons & Planes

“Wifisfuneral is becoming a hotter and hotter commodity in the rap world these days, and he’s making sure to prove his skillset as a lyricist in the game.” – XXL

    The Video:

With an appealingly dark aesthetic and a refined sense of lyricism, wifisfuneral is one of the most complete artists to emerge from the bustling South Florida rap scene. Inviting us for a glimpse into his turbulent mental state, wifisfuneral shares Been 2 Hell & Back,” his latest video. Holing up in his apartment with only a frightening looking, bridal gown-clad doll to keep him company, wifisfuneral wilds out in his new video, energetically bouncing to the music as his eyes glow with purple flame. “Been 2 Hell & Back” is a highlight from Ethernet Vol. 1wifi’s June mixtape, which has over 43 million streams on Spotify. Certain lyrics from “Been 2 Hell & Back” found their way into wifi’s XXL Freshman Freestyle, which reached #1 on YouTube’s trending chart over the summer.

Faced with fans clamoring for more music after he dropped Ethernet earlier this year, wifi shared the Leave Me The Fuck Alone EP last week. A dark and absorbing collection of four standout tracks, Leave Me The Fuck Alone finds wifi deep into his mental state and unflinchingly reporting what he sees. Wallowing in rich and aqueous sonic worlds created by producers like frequent collaborators Cris Dinero and HenryDaher, the new EP finds wifi mourning lost friends on “Alone as a Facetat,” indulging his pill habit and experimenting with auto-tune in the bouncy “Dangerous,” and flexing his lyrical muscles in “Pain”: “Listen, I was lost a lot/Trapped in hell with no parking spot/No pot to piss, they watched me rot/I was rottin’ in my grave, I thought/But it was back to reality, it kept me soft.” Prior to the EP, wifi shared Ever Seen a Demon,” a bleak and unsettling banger from the EP that amassed over 300K streams in its first week of release after being included on Apple Music’s Breaking Hip-Hop playlist. Featuring an appearance from beta.files and additional production TNO, Leave Me The Fuck Alone EP is available to stream on wifi’s SoundCloud and on all other DSPs.

An immersive experience equally suited for top-down rides as headphone sessions, Ethernet brings you deep inside the mind of wifisfuneral, as he struggles with his newfound fame, plunges into drug use, and revels in his prodigious talent. Boasting production from wifi’s longtime collaborator Cris Dinero, as well as speaker-knocking instrumentals from the likes of Jahlil BeatsRonny JSmash David, and others, Ethernet is wifi’s most diverse project yet, ranging from minor-key Rhodes burbles on Every Pill In The World,” featuring Uno The Activist, to New Orleans-bounce on the YBN Nahmir-featuring single Juveniles,” which has over 16 million streams on Spotify, to the immersive “LilSkiesFuneral,” which features breakout rapper Lil Skies and racked up over 8.8 million streams on Spotify and 5.41 million plays on SoundCloud. With additional appearances from Brooklyn riser Jay Critch and ATL mainstay Key!Ethernet comes to you via Alamo Records.

    The Background:

21-year-old South Florida rapper wifisfuneral has taken his dark sonics, mature-beyond-his-years lyrics, and trunk rattling bass from the streets of Palm Beach to the world, amassing over 1.7 million monthly listeners on Spotify and over 700,000 followers on various social media platforms. wifisfuneral’s growth has been organic and cult-like, with his fans spreading his music like wildfire with each and every release. With virtually zero promotion other than his social media presence, wifisfuneral’s independent projects Black Heart Revenge (May 27th, 2016) and When Hell Falls (January 27, 2017) reached #69 and #17 on the iTunes hip-hop charts respectively, resulting in a label deal with Alamo and Interscope Records. His major label debut mixtape, Boy Who Cried Wolf, received critical acclaim, with two of the tracks earning placement in the Spotify’s coveted Most Necessary playlist. His latest mixtape, Ethernet, was released in June 2018 via Alamo Records. In 2018, wifisfuneral was officially named to the XXL Freshman List and reached #1 on YouTube’s trending chart. Most recently, wifisfuneral appeased his fans with Leave Me The Fuck Alone EP, a four-track effort with production from frequent collaborators HenryDaher and Cris Dinero.

Maxo Kream Explores His Troubled Past & Present in the High-Tech “Roaches” Video

  • Press Release

Maxo Kream Explores His Troubled Past & Present in the High-Tech “Roaches” Video

    Video: Maxo Kream – “Roaches”

The Houston Storyteller Brings His Skeletons to Light in the Shomi Patwary-directed Video

    11.15.2018

    Critical Praise for Maxo Kream:

“Over the last couple years, Maxo Kream has established himself as one of Houston’s most exciting young rappers by way of being one of Houston’s least traditionally minded artists.” – Noisey

“A sinister and visceral portrait of Houston street life.” – Pitchfork

“(Punken) is 44 minutes of some of the best storytelling you’re liable to find this year, broken up into mesmerizing syllabic arrangements.” – The Ringer

    The Video:

Quickly developing a reputation as the South’s best storyteller, Houston’s Maxo Kream packs evocative details and visceral imagery into his metronomic rhymes. Taking a deep look into traumatic and mundane moments in his past and present, Maxo shares Roaches,” his latest video. The most personal and complete portrait yet of the young rapper, “Roaches” takes an innovative approach towards bringing Maxo’s distinct verses to life. For the first verse, director Shomi Patwary recreates Maxo’s childhood apartment, complete with a rotating cast of his friends and family members, filmed to give the impression of a single shot, with inventive effects highlighting his lyrics. In the second verse, about his family’s struggle through 2017’s destructive Hurricane Harvey, the video evokes Maxo’s scattered state-of-mind, as the screen fills with water and shows news reports from that tumultuous moment in his life. “Roaches” is the climactic moment from the critically lauded album Punken, released by Maxo in January.

Titled after one of Maxo Kream’s childhood nicknames, Punken takes a deep and revealing look into the rapper’s past, with Maxo mastering his storytelling ability and hypnotic flows atop forward-thinking production. Featuring appearances from Trippie Redd, 03 Greedo, and D. Flowers, and with production from The Wlderness, Beatboy, Sonny Digital, Ethereal, Honorable C Note, $uicideboy$, Tommy Kruise, Wolfe De Mchls, Teddy Walton, and MexikoDroPunken builds upon 2015’s Maxo 187 and 2016’s The Persona Tape with emotionally and sonically diverse tracks sitting side-by-side with insane drug-dealing bangers. In their glowing review of the album, Pitchfork praised the album as “full of unsparing storytelling, pusher anthems, and a dynamic array of trap production over which Maxo delivers some of his most effective writing.”

    Maxo Kream Background:

Upon meeting him, gangsta rapper isn’t the impression that most would get from buzzing Houston emcee, Maxo Kream, age 27. He has a surprisingly goofy and playful demeanor, often cracking self-aware jokes and displaying a smile which showcases either his gold grin or his trademark gap in the upper row of this teeth. But, make no mistake, Maxo’s backstory is a tale consisting of crime and death that would catch the attention of the most jaded followers of gangsta/trap rap.

Inspired by his college trip to SXSW and the fact that other street cliques throughout Houston such asFDAB (founded by late rapper T.O.Y, a childhood friend and Crip associate of Maxo) and MashMode(which has now resulted in the buzzing careers of Houston rap duo, The Sauce Twinz) were transitioning into music as a form of expression, Maxo and his younger cousin Lyndon (rap moniker Lyndo C), jumped into music. Maxo’s latest album, Punken, takes a deep and revealing look into the rapper’s past, with Maxo mastering his storytelling ability and hypnotic flows atop forward-thinking production.

OMB Peezy Teams with Hot 97’s DJ Megan Ryte for Lessons From The Pimp EP

  • Press Release

OMB Peezy Teams with Hot 97’s DJ Megan Ryte for Lessons From The Pimp EP

EP: OMB Peezy & DJ Megan Ryte – Lessons From The Pimp

The 300 Ent./Sick Wid It Signee Shares Four Drake-Inspired Freestyles and a Collab with Uncle Murda in This Audiomack-Exclusive EP

    11.14.2018

    Critical Praise:

“[OMB Peezy] is tough but melodic, with a youthfully urgent voice and production that’s indebted to Louisiana and California.” – New York Times

“Peezy’s impassioned flow makes the circumstances he’s discussing feel visceral and immediate as a listener; there’s nothing impressionistic about his bars” – Pigeons and Planes

“This kid from Alabama is the future of rap.” – The FADER

    The EP:

Hot 97 DJ Megan Ryte joins with OMB Peezy for Lessons From The Pimp EP, the latest edition of her “The 5” series of mixtapes. Each week for five straight weeks, Megan Ryte selects five beats for one of her favorite emcees to freestyle over and creates a brand new EP, each organized around a different theme. A native of Mobile, Alabama, Megan Ryte fell in love with fellow Mobile-native OMB Peezy’s music when she discovered it on YouTube. In Peezy’s music, Megan heard echoes of Pimp C, each rapper spitting hard-earned pearls of street wisdom in an inimitable Southern drawl. Taking inspiration from Peezy’s lyrical and vocal similarity to Pimp C, and his fusion of Bay Area and Deep South rap styles, Megan recruited Peezy to freestyle for her series. For the instrumentals, Megan chose to venture outside of Peezy’s comfort zone, selecting five beats evocative of Drake, an artist who represents the idea of “fusion” in Megan’s mind.

On Lessons From The Pimp, Peezy freestyles over Drake-inspired instrumentals, delivering perceptive bars about his travails in the legal system and his life in the hood. Asserting her influence behind the boards, Megan punctuates each track with an archived interview from Pimp C, offering a poignant life lesson echoed in Peezy’s freestyled lyrics. Featuring a cover inspired by Drake’s Take Care and featuring a shout out to the late Pimp, Lessons From The Pimp combines the sensibilities of the three wildly different emcees, filtered through the mind of Megan Ryte. The project includes Ignorant Freestyle,” which spawned a music video that came out on Monday via Hot 97’s YouTube Channel and uses the classic Isley Brothers sample from Jay-Z’s “Ignorant Shit” (which itself spawned a classic Drake freestyle), as well as “On My Mind,” a sinister and bouncy original track featuring NYC veteran Uncle Murda. Featuring additional appearances from Lougotcash and Kacyy PlutoLessons From The Pimpis available now exclusively via Audiomack.

Explains Megan Ryte, “When you’re from the south, I feel like people automatically assume you’re not lyrical. That’s so far from the truth, and Peezy is another example of that.”

Last week, Megan teamed with Dreamville rapper Cozz for Aftermath of My Dreams, the first entry of “The 5,” in which the L.A. native rhymed over classic instrumentals by Aftermath Entertainment artists, including Eminem and The Game.

Nearly two years after his debut single “Lay Down” put Peezy on the map, the motormouthed emcee shared Loyalty Over Lovehis debut solo full-length mixtape, in Summer 2018. Stuffed with glistening Dirty South instrumentals, Loyalty Over Love is the culmination of Peezy’s rise, with sharp lyrics about his life as a rising star and his struggles with the legal system. Whether he’s seething at inept law enforcement on the Noisey-premiered Fuck My P.O.,” fiercely asserting his individuality and independence within an oppressive system on “Souljah Life Mentality,” enjoying the spoils of his success in the TK Kravitz-featuring Yeah Yeah,” mourning lost friends in My Dawg,” or paying tribute to the West Coast with the Dr. Dre-referencing and Donny Hathaway-sampling “Ghetto Boy,” Peezy is a magnetic presence, weaving his threats and boasts around hot instrumentals. Featuring additional appearances from Mozzy, Paper Lovee, and OMB Iceberg, Loyalty Over Love arrives via Sick Wid It Records/300 Ent. Peezy treated fans to another revealing glimpse when he shared Behind The Title: Loyalty Over Love, a FADER-premiered mini-doc that explains the main themes behind the album.

    The Background:

Born in Alabama, the 20-year-old Peezy moved to the west coast when he was 12, developing a reputation as a rap prodigy, building a following on YouTube, and gaining the respect of the new wave of Bay Area artists such as Nef The Pharaoh and legends such as E-40. In 2017, OMB Peezy parlayed his grassroots local fanbase into a national following, earning millions of combined streams on his singles like the virally popular hitsWhen I Was Down,” Porch,” and Lay Down,” which Pigeons & Planes listed at #14 in their halftime list of Best Songs of 2017 and which Passion of the Weiss listed as their #19 for the year. In October, Peezy shared his debut project Humble Beginnings, a slap-heavy six-pack produced in full by Grammy-nominated producer Cardo Got Wingz (Kendrick Lamar, Jeezy, Meek Mill) and released by Sick Wid It/300 Ent. Peezy also toured throughout 2017, supporting Detroit artist Tee Grizzley in the fall and accompanying SOB x RBE on a national tour in the spring. In January, Peezy shared Young & Reckless, a joint mixtape with Peezy’s 300 Ent. labelmate Sherwood Marty, which proved that Peezy’s excellent run of 2017 singles was no fluke.

Gritty Florida Melodist Rod Wave Shares Kinetic “Jan2Jan” Video

    Video: Rod Wave – “Jan2Jan”

The Florida Rapper, Praised by Kevin Gates and Moneybagg Yo, Shares a Moving Single-Take Video For a Highlight From Hunger Games 2

    11.13.18

    Critical Praise for Rod Wave:

If you’re not familiar with the sounds of Rod Wave, he’s certainly one of the most talented acts to come out of Florida in some time.” – The Modern Life Mag

    “One of Florida’s finest musicians”ELEVATOR

    The Video:

Known for his distinctly gruff and chaotic approach to melody, Florida rapper Rod Wave’s voice overflows with soul and emotion. Pledging his allegiance to the grind and pouring one out for his friends doing time, Rod Wave shares Jan2Jan,” his latest video single. Dominated by plaintive piano chords, “Jan2Jan” is an ideal canvas for Rod’s unique vocal talent, as he twists and stretches syllables in his gruff baritone, crooning one bar and rapping double time on the next. Shot in a single take, the video for “Jan2Jan” follows an inmate in an abusive mental asylum as she attempts to escape, dancing her way through the drab halls and passing a captive Rod Wave in the basement before eventually being apprehended. Hosted on the KONCREATE YouTube channel, “Jan2Jan” is a highlight from Hunger Games 2his buzzing project released in May 2018.

A rapper from St. Petersburg, Florida, Rod Wave started to build a regional buzz off the strength of his Hunger Games series and collaborations with peers such as GlokkNine. Two of his most recent singles, “Valid,” and “Heart 4 Sale,” have been bubbling in the South, with the former earning a place on Spotify’s Most Necessary playlist. Earning praise from Kevin Gates and Moneybagg Yo for his penchant for catchy melody, Rod is just getting started.

  • Press Release

Lil Durk Squads Up with Gunna & Juice WRLD for the “Don’t Talk To Me” Remix

Remix: Lil Durk – “Don’t Talk To Me” ft. Gunna & Juice WRLD

The Chicago Street Superstar Revisits a Track from Last Week’s Signed to the Streets 3, Currently Sitting at #5 on Apple Music’s Album Charts

    11.12.2018

    Critical Praise:

“Unshackled from any kind of outline, Durk’s pen game shines. His rise was dotted with blood-soaked tales that summarized much of drill’s appeal: ground-level glimpses at Chicago’s South Side that colored in the outline offered by grim murder statistics.” –Pitchfork

“Lil Durk continues to be one of the most consistent rappers out.” – The FADER

“the rose that blossomed from the concrete of Chi-Town’s drill music scene” – Billboard

    The Remix:

The culmination of a five-year rise from underground sensation to mainstream star, Lil Durk pulled out all the stops for Signed To The Streets 3his new album. Adding a new guest verse to a highlight from the album, Lil Durk shares Don’t Talk To Me” (Remix). The second track on the project, produced by Chopsquad DJ and Wheezy and featuring ad-libs and a standout verse from Gunna, “Don’t Talk To Me” is a vicious missive against Durk’s haters: “I can’t get enough of it, all of this jealousy/I had a petty bitch, you can do better things,” sings Durk in the chorus. For the remix, Lil Durk recruits Juice WRLD, a fellow Chicago rapper whose debut project Goodbye and Good Riddance is one of the biggest rap albums of the year. With a refined melodic approach heavily influenced by Durk, Juice WRLD is a natural fit over the beat, providing an excellent counter-melody to Durk’s chorus. Featuring additional guest spots from Future Kevin GatesTy Dolla $ign, Kodak Black, Lil Skies, and A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, Signed to the Streets 3 released last Friday via Alamo/Interscope, and peaked at #3 on Apple Music’s all-genre album streaming charts over the weekend.

A continuation of a series that began with Durk’s 2013 breakout mixtape Signed to the Streets, released when he was 21-years-old, Signed To The Streets 3 is a coronation for Lil Durk, affirming his position as a major rap star and confirming his influence on a new generation of melodic street rappers. Drawing guests from across hip-hop’s generational and geographical spectrum, Durk welcomes them all into his world in STTS 3, providing stark perspectives of street life with a strong emotional center, enhanced by Durk’s superlative sense of melody. The new album gives a home to popular previously-released singles like the Complex-premiered “Play With Us,” featuring Kevin Gates, the Future-featuring “Spin The Block,” which has over 16.5 million views on YouTube, “Downfall,” with guest spots from Young Dolph and Lil Baby, the slow-burning hit “Home Body,” featuring Gunna and TK Kravitz, which has over 7.4 million plays on Spotify and is currently burning up rap radio, “Rockstar,” the album’s closing track which features an appearance from Lil Skies, and the recently released Neighborhood Hero,” which will soundtrack a series of videos in which Durk and other artists, including Meek MillTrae Tha Truth, and Nipsey Hussle, highlight their efforts towards improving their communities. Catch “Neighborhood Hero” on Spotify’s Off The Strength playlist, featuring Lil Durk on the playlist’s cover.

Signed to the Streets 3 closes out an epic 2018 for Lil Durk, marked by multiple mixtapes, a label change from Def Jam to Alamo, a move from Chicago to Atlanta, and, just this month, the birth of his youngest child with his fiancé India. In March, he released his first project since departing Def Jam, Just Cause Y’all Waited, an important transitional record for Durk. Praised by Pitchfork, who wrote “Lil Durk writes about Chicago the way Joan Didion once captured California,” Just Cause Y’all Waited features tracks such as the buzzing 1-773 Vulture,” a street remix to Logic’s hit single “1-800-273-8255” that reached the 9 million view mark on YouTube, and the Lil Baby-featuring lead single “How I Know,” which earned prominent placement on Spotify’s Most Necessary playlist. Featuring additional appearances from PartyNextDoor, Ty Dolla $ignGunna, and TK Kravitz, and with production from 808 Mafia and others, Just Cause Y’all Waited EP is a formidable appetizer for Signed to the Streets 3. Lil Durk turned heads when he performed his hits in a prime time slot, and later joined Tee Grizzley onstage at the Rolling Loud Festival in Miami (catch a few clips from this performance and from backstage in the “Remembrance” video) and recently showed off his label signees with Lil Durk Presents: Only The Family Involved Vol. 1

Velvet-Voiced NYC Native David Lee Shares “Right There” With Kindred Spirit PnB Rock

Video: David Lee – “Right There” ft. PnB Rock

The Recent Republic Records Signee Luxuriates with Models on Rooftops in the Video for a Scorching Club Anthem

    11.9.2018

    The Video:

A native of New York’s Lower East Side, David Lee creates a smooth and melodic strain of street rap. Showing off his soaring vocals in harmony with collaborator PnB Rock, David Lee blasts his way into pop territory with Right There,” his new single. Providing a thrilling balance of rhythm and melody over Afropop-inflected percussion and subtle vox synths, “Right There” is a romantic and sensual new track, with David Lee and PnB Rock declaring their eager willingness to receive a late night call from the object of their affections: “Girls don’t waste my time/Girl, I won’t waste your time/You can just hit my line/And I’ll be right there.” In the video, David Lee and Rock party on rooftops in David’s home neighborhood by night, and spend time with gorgeous models by day.

Building a massive following in his city with his supernatural sense of hooks and his relatable persona, David Lee is a new type of New York rapper. Earlier in 2018, David Lee captured the ear of Republic Records, the label behind The Weeknd and Post Malone, with his stellar single Mattress,” and its charming pajama-clad video. Last month, David Lee struck gold with “Two,” his new collaborative single with OhGeesy of L.A.’s ShorelineMafia, which has over 1 million YouTube views in less than three weeks. Stay tuned for much more from the 19-year-old artist as he continues to build his following on both coasts and everywhere in between.

    Critical Praise for Tru Life:

“If you’re looking for the old Tru Life, keep searching. The New York City-bred rhymer has turned over a new leaf, leaving the drama in the past and having a renewed focus on his music. It’s safe to say that his outlook on life may have changed, but his talent hasn’t. Tru Life’s still spitting bars hard enough to give these new rappers a run for their money.” XXL

    The Video:

A versatile and effortlessly charismatic rhymer, New York’s Tru Life is ready to resume his long, bumpy road to rap stardom. Sharing his first official album since the Bush Administration, Tru Life completes a remarkable comeback with Walking On Water, his latest album and his first full-length since his popular 2007 mixtape Tru York.  A testament to Tru Life’s work ethic, tenacity and confidence, Walking On Water finds the Mogul Tree CEO bringing a confrontational NYC attitude and percussive flow to modern instrumentals. Bursting at the seams with top-notch songwriting, Walking On Water is an endless source of quotable bars, whether he’s romancing women while wearing a bulletproof vest in When I Want,” enjoying his newfound freedom in the devil-may-care “Cause I Can,” or letting loose on the ferocious Yah Yah.”

Brimming with A-List star-power, Walking On Water proves the high esteem Tru Life commands in the world of hip-hop, even after years spent out of the limelight, and showcases the talent that earned the approval of Jay-Z. Released by Tru Life’s own Mogul Tree label, the new album features Baddie,” featuring Future, which has over one million streams on Spotify, and the Rick Ross-featuring single Bag For It,” which has more than 3.5 million YouTube views. The Background:

    Tru Life Background:

A prodigious talent well-known in NYC rap circles, Tru Life’s story is one of a promising career cut short. Briefly signed to Jimmy Iovine’s Interscope Records as a teenager, Tru Life built up buzz with mixtapes like Tru York–gritty and honest street stories delivered with clever rhymes and boundless charisma. Though he won a prodigious local following, his brash demeanor led to beef with other local rappers, such as Prodigy and Dipset’s Jim Jones. Word of his talent reached Jay-Z, who recruited Tru Life for an audition and eventually signed him to Roc-A-Fella. During his days with the Roc, Tru Life recorded a number of songs with Jay-Z, including one beef-squashing track with an appearance from Nas. Just as his stars were aligning Tru Life had a set back which landed him behind bars. Emerging from prison with ambition and a clear conscience, Tru Life quickly picked up where he left off, settling longtime feuds and sharing “Bag For It,” an infectious single with an appearance from Rick Ross, which racked up over 3.5 million views on YouTube. Now CEO of his own Mogul Tree label, Tru Life is ready to dominate the road to stardom with his upcoming project, Walk On Water.

    EMPIRE Background:

EMPIRE was founded in 2010 as an artist-friendly, progressive digital distribution company. After early success, and identifying future icons such as Kendrick Lamar, Anderson .Paak, and Rich Homie Quan, EMPIRE was quickly regarded as a tastemaker in the industry and throughout the past five years evolved into a full-fledged record label, distributor and publisher for independent musicians. While remaining 100% independent, EMPIRE has also partnered with Atlantic Records for a joint venture, home to breakout star D.R.A.M. and propelled singles by Fat Joe & Remy Ma (“All The Way Up,” 2x Platinum), Tyga (“Taste,” 3x Platinum), and Lil Duval (“Smile”)  to the top of the Billboard Hip-Hop Charts. In April 2018, EMPIRE signed a global distribution deal with Universal Music Group for select artist projects.

    The Background:

A burgeoning media mogul and a celebrated figure in the culture, Action Bronson never stops working. Born Ariyan Arslani, Bronson started his career as a gourmet chef, rapping only as a hobby, until he garnered overwhelmingly positive critical attention with his first mixtape Dr. Lecter, released in 2011. Packing his rhymes with references to fine food, culinary practices, professional wrestling, obscure sports figures, and more, Dr. Lecter and its popular follow-up Blue Chips quickly built Bronson’s reputation as a lyricist. Singing to Atlantic Records through a partnership with VICE, Bronson charted at #7 on Billboard with his major label debut Mr. Wonderful in 2015, which featured the Gold-certified single “Baby Blue,” featuring Chance The Rapper. Since the release of that album, Bronson expanded into filmed media, starting a web-based mini-series for Vice entitled “Action in the Kitchen,” which played off the artist’s love of food and music. The success of “Action in the Kitchen” led to “F*ck, That’s Delicious,” a full-fledged TV series and a flagship show on Viceland, where Bronson travels the world, meeting chefs and cooks and tasting everything from haute cuisine to street vendor favorites. Bronson also released a cookbook of the same name, which spent several weeks on the New York Times Best-Seller list. Bronson expanded his television empire into the realm of the metaphysical with Viceland’s 2017 series “Traveling the Stars: Ancient Aliens with Action Bronson,” and he currently hosts “THE UNTITLED ACTION BRONSON SHOW, a free-form talk show on Viceland. Bronson ended his relationship with Vice in 2018 and independently released his album White Bronco on November 1st.

    Critical Praise:

“It’s been nearly three years since Nef The Pharaoh took the Bay Area by storm with his breakout hit ‘Big Tymin’.’ Since then, under the tutelage of E-40, the South Vallejo rapper has become an ambassador of the region in his own right, championing artists like SOB X RBE, OMB Peezy, and others.” – The FADER

“Neffy Got Wings is the album of the week” – Stereogum

“…the best rapper from Vallejo since the last great rapper from Vallejo” – Jeff Weiss

“…as a rapper, [Nef the Pharaoh] lets the energy lead and the bars follow, boasting and flexing with the kinds of memorable banalities that make up some of hip-hop’s best yet least-celebrated moments.” –Pitchfork

“Nef The Pharaoh is the Bay Area’s next up.” – HotNewHipHop

“Nef the Pharaoh runs neck-and-neck with Kodak Black as the most promising up-and-coming rapper who can’t yet rent a car.” – SPIN

“There may be no rapper working right now who brings more good cheer and positive vibes than Vallejo’s Nef the Pharaoh” – Noisey

    The EP:

Immersed since birth in one of the country’s most robust and idiosyncratic hip-hop traditions, 23-year-old Vallejo, CA-native Nef The Pharaoh and 17-year-old ShooterGang Kony, from Sacramento, embody the spirit of Northern California hip-hop. Colliding for a fun-loving and hard-hitting lyricfest, Nef & Kony showcase their best bars in Vice Versatheir new EP, premiered by L.A. Leakers. Two of Northern California’s most accomplished young lyricists, Nef and Kony display an easy chemistry throughout the project, as Nef’s twisting flows and flights of fancy complement Kony’s aggressive, clever, and realistic bars.

Spanning six tracks, Vice Versa finds the two emcees dancing above an electro-funk sample on “Sig n a Draky,” tag-teaming a mob instrumental on Ludacris,” premiered last month by HYPEBEAST, and flexing their lyrical muscles in service of a lush for-the-ladies jam on the EP’s title track, which The 405 called “an effortless Bay Area bop.” Featuring appearances from Sage The Gemini and Raymond McMahonVice Versa EP drops via KILFMB / Sick Wid It / EMPIRE.

Breaking through with his self-titled 2015 EP and its hit single “Big Tymin‘,” the 23-year-old Nef The Pharaoh quickly established himself as one of the most unique and popular emcees in the Bay. Signed to E-40’s Sick Wid It Records, the charismatic emcee is a fixture on regional radio, releasing an acclaimed collaborative EP with Cardo Got Wingz (Kendrick Lamar, Drake) in 2016 and hitting in 2017 with the single “Bling Blaow,” which features Slimmy B of SOB x RBE. In April 2018, Nef shared his debut album The Big Chang Theory, which earned praise from Noisey, who raved “it’s a joyous, melodic project with the old school, timeless feel we’ve come to expect from Nef the Pharaoh. Do yourself a favor and play this in a car as soon as physically possible,” and Pitchforkwho said “Nef is the rare rapper who whose music feels free—free of narrative cohesion, outside interference, or any sense of pressure.” This summer, Nef shared Porter2Grapean action-packed 5-track collaborative EP with L.A. rapper 03 Greedo. The blistering EP, with the single “Ball Out,” featuring ALLBLACK, and the Pitchfork Best New Track “Blow-Up Bed, is currently available for stream and purchase via EMPIRE.

24hrs Announces Houses On The Hill Project, Unites with PnB Rock for “Met Gala” 🌕

24hrs Announces Debut Album Houses On The Hill, Executive Produced by Hit-Boy, Releasing November 16th

The Up-and-Coming Singer Teams with PnB Rock for “Met Gala,” a Shimmering Single from the Project

    11.9.2018

    Critical Praise:

“Without any context, 24hrs’ music is like listening to an alien who recently landed on Earth, heard some songs by Young Thug, Jeremih, and Rae Sremmurd, and started making his own. It draws from the current sounds in hip-hop and R&B, but there’s something slightly off about it, and this is what makes it so interesting.”-  Pigeons & Planes

    The Announcement:

Known for his diabolically infectious melodies, ATL riser 24hrs walks the ever-shrinking line between rap and R&B. Capitalizing on two years worth of commercial momentum, 24hrs announces Houses On The Hillhis debut project. Defined by 24’s distinctly high-pitched, candy-coated auto-tune, Houses On The Hill depicts a life of indescribable luxury, and completes the young artist’s transformation into a genre-bending force. Released by The Private Club/Commission/BMG, the new album boasts the hot single “Lie Detector,” which features a guest turn from Lil Pump and has over 10.2 million plays on Spotify. Featuring additional appearances from Ty Dolla $ign, 24’s younger brother MadeInTYO, YG, PnB Rock, Smokepurpp, Dom Kennedy, Roy Wood$, Vic Mensa, and Jay 305Houses On The Hill releases on November 16th.

Setting his sights on the world of high fashion, 24hrs takes his girl to the Met Gala” on the album’s latest single. Joining forces with a fellow rap singer, XXL Freshman PnB Rock, “Met Gala” is a club-ready West Coast heater. Harmonizing above pretty piano chords and a Caribbean-inflected beat courtesy of Nonstop Da Hitmaka, the two artists pull out all the stops to impress the objects of their affection: “Playa shit, talkin’ Will & Jada shit/First class, we go out to Vegas quick,” sings 24. With high ambitions and an effortlessly catchy series of hooks, “Met Gala” is an instant-summer delivery system for those unlucky enough to live far from the West Coast.

Hard-Hitting and Melodic, Benny Is Vallejo’s Next Breakout Emcee

  • Press Release

Hard-Hitting and Melodic, Benny Is Vallejo’s Next Breakout Emcee

Vallejo Riser Benny Announces Different Project, Releasing November 30th

The Melodic Rapper Shares Lead Single “Bang It,” a Dancefloor-Ready Slice of Electro Rap, Premiered by HYPEBEAST

    11.8.2018

    Critical Praise for Benny:

“What do you get when you combine Drake’s tendency to sing vulnerably and BandGang’s abundant gun bars? You might get something like Benny, the North Vallejo rapper that counts the Detroit group among his influences and is rapidly making a name for himself in the Bay Area.” – The FADER

    The Announcement:

The rare rapper who sounds as natural on menacing street tracks as slow jams, Vallejo’s Benny is a special talent. Looking to end 2018 on a high note, Benny announces Differenthis third project of the year. Bursting at the seams with personality, melodies, and bars, Different is an engaging and revelatory listen, showing off the many moods and modes of Benny as he annihilates glistening Bay Area beats. Drawing influences from all over the hip-hop spectrum, citing Detroit rappers BandGang as a major influence, among others, Different is an eclectic listen, boasting hard-hitting mob slappers like “Breathe,” vulnerable and rhythmic auto-tuners like “Myself,” convincing R&B slow jams like “Out Of Time,” and flashy auto-tuners like “Talk To Me.” The follow-up to June’s Dangerous tape and August’s Soul Snatcher with DJ Gutta ButtaDifferent arrives on November 30th via EMPIRE.

To accompany the announcement of Different, Benny shares Bang It,” the project’s lead single. Alternating lilting melodies and rapidfire bars atop soaring synth strings and an impossibly funky bassline, Benny boasts about his playalistic prowess: “I know you know my name girl/So don’t act like no stranger/Cause I’m just tryna bang it.” Premiered by HYPEBEAST, “Bang It” is an ideal West Coast riders’ anthem, channeling a luxurious 80s electro-R&B sample into a jam for the Golden State’s endless summer.

Born and raised in Vallejo, CA, home to hip-hop innovators E-40 and Mac Dre, Benny endured a troubled childhood, facing evictions and unreliable utilities in his homes. After getting into too much trouble as a high school student, Benny’s mother kicked him out of his house, causing Benny to spend months living in his car. Determined to prove to his family that he could make something of himself, Benny started making music, dropping in on high school talent shows and gathering his friends to make energetic music videos, like the Biggie-sampling All A Dream,” which quickly racked up millions of views. Now, Benny is a staple of the Northern California rap scene, collaborating with regional heavy-hitters like OMB Peezy andPrezi and earning the support of local hip-hop tastemaker The Thizzler. With the upcoming release of Different, Benny looks to continue his upward trajectory, breaking out of his region and becoming a household name.

wifisfuneral Channels His Rage and Despair into Leave Me The Fuck Alone EP

EP: wifisfuneral – Leave Me The Fuck Alone

The XXL Freshman Appeases His Hungry Fans’ Need For More Music with this Dark and Lyrical 4-Tracker

    11.7.2018

    The EP:

Developing a massive and eager grassroots cult who responds to his grounded lyricism, wifisfuneral is an unconventional rap star. Faced with fans clamoring for more music after he dropped his popular Ethernet Vol. 1 mixtape earlier this year, wifi shares the Leave Me The Fuck Alone EP. A dark and absorbing collection of four standout tracks, Leave Me The Fuck Alone finds wifi deep into his mental state and unflinchingly reporting what he sees. Wallowing in rich and aqueous sonic worlds created by producers like frequent collaborators Cris Dinero and HenryDaher, the new EP finds wifi mourning lost friends on “Alone as a Facetat,” indulging his pill habit and experimenting with auto-tune in the bouncy “Dangerous,” and flexing his lyrical muscles in “Pain”: “Listen, I was lost a lot/Trapped in hell with no parking spot/No pot to piss, they watched me rot/I was rottin’ in my grave, I thought/But it was back to reality, it kept me soft.” Last week, wifi shared “Ever Seen a Demon,” a bleak and unsettling banger from the EP that amassed over 300K streams in its first week of release after being included on Apple Music’s Breaking Hip-Hop playlist. Featuring an appearance from beta.files and additional production TNO, Leave Me The Fuck Alone EP is available to stream on wifi’s SoundCloud and on all other DSPs.

Earlier this year, XXL named wifisfuneral to their 2018 Freshman List, marking a major milestone in his rise from grassroots support on SoundCloud to major mainstream recognition. The Florida rapper’s XXL Freshman Freestyle reached #1 on YouTube’s trending chart and his XXL Freshman Cypher, in which he traded verses with YBN Nahmir and Stefflon Don, racked up over 6 million views.

In June, wifisfuneral shared Ethernet Vol. 1his most accomplished project to date, which has over 40 million streams on Spotify alone. An immersive experience equally suited for top-down rides as headphone sessions, Ethernet Vol. 1 brings you deep inside the mind of wifisfuneral, as he struggles with his newfound fame, plunges into drug use, and revels in his prodigious talent. Boasting production from wifi’s longtime collaborator Cris Dinero, as well as speaker-knocking instrumentals from the likes of Jahlil BeatsRonny JSmash David, and others, Ethernet is wifi’s most diverse project yet, ranging from minor-key Rhodes burbles on Every Pill In The World,” featuringUno The Activist, to pinging, minimalist trap on Been 2 Hell & Back,” to New Orleans-bounce on the YBN Nahmir-featuring single Juveniles,” which has over 16 million streams on Spotify, and “LilSkiesFuneral,” which features breakout rapper Lil Skies and racked up over 8.8 million streams on Spotify and 5.41 million plays on SoundCloud. With additional appearances from Brooklyn riser Jay Critch and ATL mainstay Key!Ethernet arrives via Alamo Records.

    The Background:

In just one year, nineteen year old South Florida rapper wifisfuneral has taken his dark sonics, mature-beyond-his-years lyrics, and trunk rattling bass from the streets of Palm Beach to the world, amassing over 1.7 million monthly listeners on Spotify and over 600,000 followers on various social media platforms. wifisfuneral’s growth has been organic and cult-like, with his fans spreading his music like wildfire with each and every release. His latest release, Ethernet, was released in June 2018 via Alamo Records. In 2018, wifisfuneral was officially named to the XXL Freshman List and reached #1 on YouTube’s trending chart.

L.A. Upstarts OSBS Reveal Their Everyday Struggle Alongside Their Label CEO Big U, Premiered by DGB

Single: OSBS (On Some BullShit) – “It’s a Struggle” (Remix) ft. Big U

The Duo of D5 and Smoke Revisit an Earlier Single with Some Words of Wisdom From Their Uneek Music Label Head

    11.5.2018

    Critical Praise for OSBS:

“Effortlessly catchy…OSBS (which stands for, naturally, On Some Bullshit) have been scooping quick hype this year. Equal parts Atlanta trap, West Coast bravado, and Toronto swang (read: Drake), it’s not hard to see why. They speak effortlessly to the moment, something of a perhaps even more radio-ready SOB x RBE.”The 405

    The Single:

Bringing a fresh spin to a classic West Coast sound, thesoulfully melodic rap music of Los Angeles duo OSBS (On Some Bullshit) caught the ears of influential L.A. music business figure Big U. Rewarding their label benefactor’s faith, the duo show off their skills on the soul-sampling “It’s a Struggle” (Remix). Buoyed by a passionate hook from Smoke, the two rappers swap stories about their troubles above a minor-key chipmunk soul sample, with D5 lamenting the lost life of a close friend in a liquor store shooting, and Smoke reflecting on his time in prison away from his daughter and baby momma. Premiered by Dirty-Glove Bastard, the remix to “It’s a Struggle” adds some words of wisdom from Big U, who relates a story about gang violence in 1980s L.A. “It’s a Struggle” (Remix) is a highlight from No Cap, the OSBS duo’s upcoming EP.

Preparing a batch of radio-ready heaters, the duo of Smoke and D5 recently announced No Cap, their debut EP. Unbound by region or style, the strength of OSBS (short for “On Some Bullshit”) is in the chemistry of the two members and their complementary approaches to the mic. Smoke’s drawl occupies a space between singing and rapping, stretching syllables in unpredictable ways to craft hooks, while D5 rhymes in an auto-tuned monotone, locking into airtight cadences and expertly navigating negative space. On No Cap EP, Crenshaw duo creates their own melting pot of rap styles, taking elements of L.A. rider music and ATL trap and creating a fiery brand of party music. Last week, the duo shared the soaring video single I Know,” which featured a highlight guest spot from 2 Chainz. Featuring additional appearances from Lil Baby, Gunna, and Lil XanNo Cap EP arrives on November 16th via Uneek/EMPIRE.

With a co-sign from legendary behind-the-scenes West Coast figure Big U, OSBS (short for On Some Bullsh¡t” aims to redefine the sound of party music in Los Angeles and beyond. Known for developing the careers of artists like Nipsey Hussle, Kurupt, and James Fauntelroy, Big U fostered the partnership of D5 and Smoke, connecting the two of them after Smoke’s release from prison. Shortly after his release, Smoke joined D5 and Big U in the studio to record “Everybody Baby Momma,” the duo’s raucous debut single. When D5 heard the finished product, he turned to U and Smoke and said, “y’all on some bullshit”–giving the duo a new name. “Our whole purpose is to show people that there’s a different way you can do things,” explains Smoke. “Your past does not have to dictate your future. We’re the ones that people counted out and wrote off.” With recent social media shoutouts from Justin Bieber and Kourtney Kardashian, OSBS are well on their way to becoming the soundtrack of choice for the City of Stars.

    The Background:

From Los Angeles’ Crenshaw neighborhood, OSBS represents new energy and diversified sound for South Central. The “On Sum Bull Sh%t” duo of Smoke (Jordan Gendron) and D5 (Darral Scott) had long been in the same circle. “We’re all connected because of Lil U, who is one of my best friends. He’s Big U’s son and D5’s cousin. He’s how we all linked,” explains Smoke, recalling shooting hoops at nearby Ladera Park. Big U is an L.A. street legend and proven music executive with a pivotal role in the careers of Nipsey Hussle, Kurupt, and others. With D5 previously on his Uneek Music, Big U liked the chemistry of two rappers from his neighborhood. “Our whole purpose is to show people that there’s a different way you can do things. Your past does not have to dictate your future. We’re the ones that people counted out and wrote off,” explains Smoke. That sentiment drives November 16’s No Cap. The group’s debut EP from Uneek/EMPIRE features 2 Chainz, Lil Baby, Gunna, and Lil Xan.

“…the best rapper from Vallejo since the last great rapper from Vallejo” – Jeff Weiss

    The Single:

United by a love of clever bars and breakneck flows, Vallejo’s Nef The Pharaoh and Sacramento’s ShooterGang Kony have a natural and inviting chemistry. Slowing their roll atop skittering hi-hats and gently plinked electric piano, Nef and Kony brag about their winning ways on “Vice Versa,” their latest single, premiered by The 405. Produced by Sage The Gemini, who also contributes a laid-back hook, “Vice Versa” is a lyrical showcase for both rappers, proving that they excel even when outside of their comfort zone of hyperactive slappers. Adopting a “Weezy” flow, Nef creatively name drops celebrities and fellow rappers in his verse: “For the Euros I never side step/I am Salt Bae with the pyrex.” Meanwhile, ShooterGang Kony lives up to his name, bragging about his skill with arms: “I got a jump shot, the cleanest one/Shoot with both hands, slip with gun/Tryna shoot up the after party/I came with hoes, I’m gon leave with one.” Featuring an appearance from Raymond McMahon, brings his soaring melody to the song’s chorus, “Vice Versa” is the title track from the upcoming Vice Versa EP, a six-track collaboration between Nef and Kony. Featuring the raucous video single Ludacris,”  premiered in October by HYPEBEASTVice Versa EP drops on November 9th via KILFMB / Sick Wid It / EMPIRE

Lil Durk Gives Back to the Community, Shares XXL-Premiered “Neighborhood Hero” Video

  • Press Release

Lil Durk Gives Back to the Community, Shares XXL-Premiered “Neighborhood Hero” Video

Video: Lil Durk – “Neighborhood Hero” (Produced by Nassi)

The Chicago Rapper Shares a Heartwarming, XXL-Premiered Video as He Salutes Unsung Neighborhood Figures, Ahead of Next Week’s Signed to the Streets 3 Release

    11.2.2018

    Critical Praise:

“Unshackled from any kind of outline, Durk’s pen game shines. His rise was dotted with blood-soaked tales that summarized much of drill’s appeal: ground-level glimpses at Chicago’s South Side that colored in the outline offered by grim murder statistics.” –Pitchfork

“Lil Durk continues to be one of the most consistent rappers out.” – The FADER

“the rose that blossomed from the concrete of Chi-Town’s drill music scene” – Billboard

    The Video:

A proud native of Chicago’s South Side, Lil Durk does whatever he can to give back to the neighborhood that birthed him. Assuming the mantle of savior, and encouraging others to give back as well, Durk shares Neighborhood Hero,” his latest video. Spinning a effortlessly catchy, halting flow, Durk expounds on what it means to be a hero in a poverty-stricken neighborhood–in the past, Durk has hosted back-to-school backpack giveaways, coordinated Thanksgiving turkey drives, and helped to support local youth sports to make life easier for those in the South Side. In the moving video, shot in black-and-white, Durkio shines a spotlight on under-heralded heroes who make help keep his neighborhood afloat, from local football coaches, to tattoo artists, to radio DJs, to street performers, and more. The release of the video also marks the start of the Neighborhood Hero campaign, in which Durk and other artists, including Meek MillT.I., and Trae Tha Truth, highlight their efforts towards improving their communities. Premiered by XXL, “Neighborhood Hero” is the latest video from Signed To The Streets 3Durk’s highly-anticipated upcoming album, following “Rockstar,” which features a guest spot from Lil Skies. Catch “Neighborhood Hero” on Spotify’s “Off The Strength” playlist, featuring Lil Durk on the cover.

Durk explains how he feels about being a neighborhood hero, “It feels good to be in a place now where I can give back to my community. Coming from I’m from, I never expected to be looked at as a hero but it feels good to inspire kids who look up to me now and think, ‘If Durk can do it, so can I.’ I want to continue to uplift and that’s why I formally set up my non-profit earlier this year, called Neighborhood Heroes. In addition to setting up turkey drives and backpack drives again, we are going to be doing bigger and better things. More to come, stay tuned.”

Continuing an acclaimed and popular series of projects he started as a 21-year-old in 2013, Signed To The Streets 3 is a coronation for Lil Durk, affirming his position as a major rap star and confirming his influence on a new generation of melodic street rappers. The upcoming album features popular previously-released singles like the Future-featuring “Spin The Block,” which has over 13.5 million views on YouTube, the recently released “Downfall,” with guest spots from Young Dolph and Lil Baby, and the slow-burning hit “Home Body,” featuring Gunna and TK Kravitz, which has over 6.4 million plays on Spotify and is currently burning up rap radio. Featuring additional appearances from Kevin GatesKodak BlackTy Dolla $ignGunna, and A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, Signed to the Streets 3 releases on November 9th via Alamo/Interscope.

Lil Durk is having a busy 2018, marked by multiple mixtapes, a label change from Def Jam to Alamo, a move from Chicago to Atlanta, and, just this week, the birth of his youngest child. 1

Premiered by XXL, who praised Flippa saying “his dexterous flows [are] just as sharp as his clever lyrics,” “California” is the latest video from Up To Something, Flippa’s latest mixtape, following the grateful  No Cap (Intro),” the action-packed Been Through It,” and “Don’t Play Me,” which has over 843k plays on YouTube.

Returning after a yearlong absence with a 13-track project packed with pearls of wisdom, Flippa shared Up To Something in mid-SeptemberPacked with twinkling trap productions from the likes of June Jamez, ILoveMunyIceberg Beatz, Yung Lan, and more, Flippa exudes an effortless pathos, his street stories enhanced by his gruff microphone presence. The follow-up to 2017’s Flippa McFadden 2Up To Something is a reflective and triumphant effort, as the Florida-born rapper flashes a rapidfire triplet flow on “No N**** Like Me,” spins a candy-trap banger with the spritely “Want A Bag,” and shows his softer side and his charming singing voice on the for-the-ladies jam “Slide On Me.” Featuring an appearance from Sauce HavinUp To Something arrives via Havin / BMG Rights Management.

Born and raised in Palm Beach, Florida, the rapper formerly known as Skippa Da Flippa moved to Atlanta when he was 13 years old. Shortly after arriving in ATL, Flippa made the acquaintance of Quavo and Takeoff, two future members of Migos. Flippa, Quavo, Takeoff, and later Offset, spent their youths rapping in abandoned houses, developing a reputation as the best rappers in their neighborhood. Inspired by the success of Migos, Flippa began to think of his rapping more as a career than a hobby, dropping I’m Havin, his first project for Quality Control Records, in 2014. Featuring guest appearances from all three members of Migos and production from the likes of Murda Beatz and Cassius Jay, I’m Havin’ was an overnight success, leading to heavy regional buzz and a successful tour. In 2015, Migos and Flippa recorded a track about a dance move that Flippa pioneered a couple years earlier: the Dab. Performed by everyone from Cam Newton to Hillary Clinton, the Dab grew into a massive worldwide dance craze. Since then, Flippa’s profile continued to rise, appearing on Lil Yachty’s massive “Minnesota” in 2016 and growing his Spotify fanbase to over 200,000 monthly listeners.

    The Background:

The rapper formally known as Skippa Da Flippa may not yet be a household name, but Flippa‘s  presence has been ubiquitous for years as both an ATLien OG and the inventor of the dab. Hailing from Florida, Flippa grew up in a two-bedroom apartment with three sisters, four brothers and two cousins, along with his mother and father. Every day was spent trying to get by—“We were trying to get up out the goddamn ‘hood,” he says—and though he soaked up more localized music like Pitbull and Gucci Mane, he didn’t think of art as an escape. It wasn’t until he moved to Atlanta around the age of 16 and met Migos’ QuavoOffset and Takeoff that he started to take rapping seriously. A staple on their projects, they recorded music while he was signed to the Florida-based Quality Control that yielded smash singles like “Trenchez” and “Safe House.”

Over the past few years, he’s parlayed his Migos co-sign into a fruitful solo career, from releasing a string of mixtapes to dropping verses on hits like Lil Yachty’s “Minnesota (Remix),” Migos and Young Thug’s “Crime Stoppers,” and Jose Guapo’s “Run It Up.” Along with his high-profile features, Flippa has cultivated an impressive workflow, dropping five mixtapes in the last three years. From I’m Havin’ (which got almost 750,000 hits on Live Mixtapes upon release) and 2015’s Flippa McFadden, to last year’s I’m Havin’ 2 and I’m Tellin Ya, the latter featuring guest appearances from Young Thug, Juicy J and Trouble, Flippa’s grind has yet to show signs of slowing. His latest project, Up To Something, came out on September 14th, 2018.

Trap Addict and West Oakland Hero J. Stalin Lives Lavish in His Latest Video, Premiered by HYPEBEAST

  • Press Release

Trap Addict and West Oakland Hero J. Stalin Lives Lavish in His Latest Video, Premiered by HYPEBEAST

Video: J. Stalin – “Living Lavish”

The Livewire CEO Shares the Latest Single From His Upcoming Dj.Fresh Collaboration Miracle & Nightmare On 10th Street Part 2

    11.2.2018

    The Video:

A respected Oakland emcee and a devoted family man, J. Stalin’s main mission is to make sure his loved ones live their best lives. On Living Lavish,” his latest single in collaboration with influential Bay Area DJ/Producer Dj.Fresh, Stalin focuses on a pleasant by-product of his work for his family: his tremendous wealth and shiny possessions. Produced by Dj.Fresh, “Living Lavish” is a slinky and minimalist slapper, with clipped percussion and a charmingly out-of-tune bassline. Relaxing with his shirt open to reveal his chains, Stalin bosses up in the video, showing off his bands and collection of foreign cars: “Fuck all the bullshit, let’s get back to the money,” chants Stalin. Premiered by HYPEBEAST, “Living Lavish” is the latest single from Miracle & Nightmare on 10th Street Part 2, an upcoming double album and the eighth collaboration between J. Stalin and Dj.Fresh. “Living Lavish” follows Nightmare on 10th Street Returns,” the foreboding first single from the project.

The sequel to Fresh and Stalin’s 2013 album Miracle & Nightmare on 10th StreetPart 2 spans two 10-track discs, each organized on the the nightmare and miracle of life in Stalin’s neighborhood in Oaktown. The upcoming album boasts a quintessentially Bay Area guestlist, with appearances from Beeda Weeda, Shady Nate, Juneonnabeat, Mitchy Slick, and other East Bay stalwarts. The follow-up to Stalin’s 2017 album Gas Nation 2, and following Dj.Fresh’s 2018 collaborations with Rydah J Klyde, Jay Worthy, and Zion IMiracle & Nightmare on 10th Street releases on November 16th via EMPIRE.

Video: wifisfuneral – “Ever Seen A Demon” (Prod. by TNO)

The 2018 XXL Freshman Shares an Intense Clip for the Single From Leave Me The Fuck Alone EP

    11.1.2018

    Critical Praise:

    XXL Freshman, Class of 2018

“[wifisfuneral] displays an impressive array of verbal acrobatics, showing off masterful breath control and a rapid fire flow.”  – Pitchfork

    The Video:

South Florida rhymer wifisfuneral captivates with a darkly personal aesthetic, skillfully weaving revealing rhymes through innovative instrumentals. Rapping in close-up in a disorienting clip, wifi shares the video for Ever Seen a Demon.” “Ever Seen a Demon” is a bleak and unsettling banger, finding wifi warning listeners of his shambolic mental state and comparing himself to the demon of the title: “Stars in the sky, they alignin’, yeah, my demons been my problems/Bitch, I’m eight Backwoods to the head, think we drown inside reality, agony.” In the video, wifi rhymes for the camera, tinted in a demonic red light and augmented by visual effects. Produced by TNO, “Ever Seen a Demon” is the first look at leave me the fuck alonewifi’s upcoming EP. Featuring production from frequent wifi collaborators Cris Dinero, HenryDaher, and TNOleave me the fuck alone EP, releasing November 7th, is a lyrical and absorbing listen, and an ideal vibe for wifisfuneral fans eagerly awaiting his next full-length project.

Boasting production from wifi’s longtime collaborator Cris Dinero, as well as speaker-knocking instrumentals from the likes of Jahlil BeatsRonny JSmash David, and others, Ethernet is wifi’s most diverse project yet, ranging from minor-key Rhodes burbles on Every Pill In The World,” featuring Uno The Activist, to pinging, minimalist trap on Been 2 Hell & Back,” to New Orleans-bounce on the YBN Nahmir-featuring single Juveniles,” which has over 17 million streams on Spotify, and “LilSkiesFuneral,” which features breakout rapper Lil Skies and racked up over 9 million streams on Spotify and 5.45 million plays on SoundCloud. With additional appearances from Brooklyn riser Jay Critch and ATL mainstay Key!Ethernet arrives via Alamo Records.

Stay tuned for leave me the fuck alone EP, dropping November 7th.

His latest release, Ethernet, was released in June 2018 via Alamo Records. In 2018, wifisfuneral was officially named to the XXL Freshman List and reached #1 on YouTube’s trending chart.
