Comparing himself to another larger than life outlaw, Wulf shares “Jack Wulf Sparrow,” his new music video. Produced by MARCELO, a member of Wulf’s famed Hollow Squad, “Jack Wulf Sparrow” is a sinister, minimal banger with boosted bass and menacing piano. L.A. rapper 03 Greedo came into his own on a series of mixtapes that began with 2016’s Purple Summer. His multi-faceted rhymes were heavy on references to drugs, struggle, and fame, and he churned out quality material at a prolific rate. He broke through to an even larger audience after signing a record deal, but not even a month after the release of his 2018 debut studio album God Level, he was sentenced to 20 years in prison for drug trafficking. He began serving his time in the summer of that year but issued a statement saying he intended to keep making and releasing new music while incarcerated. With a movie star’s charisma and an auteurist eye for detail, Key Glock is an avowed cinephile who channels his love of film into his music and videos. Along with the announcement of the mixtape, the four-man squad shares “WOP,” an effortlessly funky new single from the project. Listening to his brother rap, Critch began to eventually do the same. Born in 1998 in Clinton Hill, Critch wrote raps at a young age, but wasn’t recording until he was of preteen age. The Background:

Kenzo Balla evokes both the ecstasy and the peril of New York street rap. The Bronx artist serves up chilly bars over hammering drill beats for stylish, yet raw anthems that are drawing the attention of the world by the day. Teaming with frequent collaborators TG Crippy (his brother) and Jay Da Chaser, he blends those elements on tracks like “OOTAZ,” which drips with adrenaline and confrontation. A native of Waco, TX–hence his name–Wacotron showed a passion for music from a young age, absorbing the 808-driven trap music he listened to in the car with his dad. After spending years mired in the struggle, Wacotron turned to rap in his 20’s, searching for a better way to provide for his family and escape his circumstances. The rapper started to build a reputation in his home state, eventually catching the attention of Pick Six Records, who signed him to a deal and connected him with Southside and 808 Mafia. He released his debut project Smokin’ Texas in April 2021.

With the weight of the influential 808 Mafia behind him, Wacotron is in prime position to make his mark on the rap game in 2022 and beyond.
