Critical Praise for Daye Jack:

Daye Jack has been slowly solidifying himself as one of the most unique young voices in hip-hop right now, thanks to a number of fantastic projects that show the true breadth of his impressive versatility.” – Pigeons & Planes

Daye Jack carries a powerful message”. – Billboard

“If you don’t know Daye Jack (pronounced Die-aye Jack) yet, you will soon.”Mass Appeal

Meet the new wunderkind of celestial hip-hop pop”The Guardian

“Daye Jack has no trouble standing out. His ability to combine complex song structures, vocal melodies, and soulful production gives his music a weight that so many of the artists making the club bangers of the month will never achieve.”Complex
“Daye Jack is …extremely talented at a young age and swirling together the styles that previously had been so carefully separated, all with a big grin. Whether he’s rapping or doling out sweet melodies, it’s all working”Huffington Post
The Announcement:

A 20-year-old polymath who raps like Ma$e and sings like Justin TimberlakeDaye Jack just might be Hip-Hop’s next major crossover star. Born in Nigeria and raised in Atlanta, Daye [pronounced Die-Yay] boasts an impressive versatility, alternating softly sung high-energy pop tracks, with ferocious electro-hop rap bangers. After demonstrating his ability with several projects over the past couple years, Daye Jack announces his most focused effort yet with Surf The Web EP, releasing September 23rd via Warner Bros. Records. Surf The Web is the Los Angeles-based artist’s second retail EP, with seven standout tracks about human lives in a digital world, including previously released tracks like the accurately titled “Raw,” played more than 348,000 times on SoundCloud, which features snapping boom-bap drums and “Death of Auto-Tune”-style guitars, and “Finish Line,” (120,000 plays on SoundCloud) a futuristic pop-rap banger about motivating yourself to realize your goals. Featuring a guest appearance from Dev09 and production from the likes of Mike Elizondo (50 Cent, Eminem), Klas Ahlund (Robyn, Katy Perry, Madonna), Stefan Graslund (Charli XCX), Kiko Merley (Allan Kingdom) and MAG (Flo Rida’s “My House), Surf the Web is a blockbuster fusion of genres and the purest manifestation of Daye’s artistic vision yet.

Surf The Web is inspired by L.A.,” explains Daye Jack. “You’re getting the job done, but you’re doing it in a chill way—remaining clear and concise. The sonics were really inspired by early aughts classics likeJustified and Speakerboxxx/The Love Below. I got really clear-headed in Los Angeles, and I wanted to make music you could listen to forever.”

Daye Jack moved with his family from Nigeria to Atlanta at the age of six. In Atlanta, he split his time between playing soccer, slinging computer code, singing in choir, and listening to the likes of Eminem, OutKast, and 50 Cent. After high school, Daye earned a scholarship to NYU, majoring in Computer Science and furthering his musical development by absorbing the works of Chance The Rapper, Joey Bada$$, and Mac Miller and deriving creative inspiration from his talented classmates. In 2014, Daye released his breakthrough mixtape Hello Worldwhich caught the attention of Max Martin, who signed him to his publishing imprint, and Warner Bros. Records exec and producer Mike Elizondo, who signed him to a record deal. Since releasing his Soul Glitch EP in 2015, Daye has earned praise from outlets such as Billboard, Pitchfork and Pigeons & Planes, collaborated with the likes of Killer MikeAriana Grande, and Tori Kelly, and toured packed venues with Lukas Graham and Pell. Surf The Web is the latest step on Daye Jack’s evolutionary ladder.

Today, Zane Lowe premiered the hater-demolishing “Deep End,” the closing track from Surf The Web, on his radio show on Apple Music’s Beats 1. Alternating percussive rhymes with delicate falsetto, “Deep End” is an ideal expression of the young artist’s breadth of talent. “There’s a reason the EP concludes on ‘Deep End,’” explains Daye Jack. “The song is about going down that rabbit hole of the internet. You click on one headline, and then you click on another. You watch one YouTube video, and then you watch more. By the time a few hours have passed, you realize how messed up the world can be.” Listeners might experience a similar feeling when diving into Surf The Web, absorbing its vast sonic detail over repeated listens.

Chevy Woods Has More Money Than The Bank On “Bank Of America”

MP3: Chevy Woods – “Bank Of America”

Rich the Kid, Joins Chevy Woods For Anthem Devoted To Their Baller Status

    09.07.2016

    Critical Praise for Chevy Woods:

“Chevy flies high and gives the world an in depth look into his life as a Taylor Gang aviator.”XXL Mag

“The TGOD rapper hasn’t stopped grinding…” – HotNewHipHop

“He’s proven that you can make money without selling out to a label, gaining more than 300,000 followers on Twitter and 67,000 downloads of his mixtape, Gangland 3.”Pittsburgh City Paper

    The Song:

A three day weekend is always nice and is even nicer when Taylor Gang’s Chevy Woods drops new material. Lucky for all of us, he chose this Labor Day to drop “Bank of America,” a single from his debut full-length album. Chevy is joined by New York’s Rich The Kid, and the two trade verses boasting about their considerable wealth over the rumbling beat of deep bass and skittering hi-hat. The forthcoming album is a standout effort built upon years of grinding in the mixtape game and is his first retail release since last year’s The 48 Hunnid Project, a mixtape that showcases some of Chevy’s many talents, evenly stacking party bangers, songs for the smokers, and more personal introspective tracks.

The forthcoming album follows February’s And the Story Goes…, a 4-part video EP that finds Pittsburgh rapper reflecting on his adolescence and contemplating career paths. Featuring Styles P and  Dave Eastand directed by Wiley Films, the video EP released as a free download via Taylor Gang Ent. Last week, Chevy hopped on “Gang Gang,” a TGOD anthem with Casey Veggies and Wiz Khalifa. Earlier, Chevy celebrated success on his “All the Way Up” freestyle, in which he co-opted the New York anthem to lay down bars about jetsetting and living the life, and Forever,” released on his birthday. In addition to “Forever,” And the Story Goes…, and his collection of freestyles titled The Freemix, he teamed up with buzzing Atlanta rapper Rich the Kid for “Wit My Dogs,” a Nard & B.-produced anthem for celebrating with the homies, and “6 Months Later,” a hypnotic loose single released on his SoundCloud.  Beyond music, Woods has recently been in the spotlight for his culinary skills, which have been featured by Edible Ink and First We Feast.

    Chevy Woods Background:

An experienced rapper with a tireless work ethic, Chevy Woods represents for Pittsburgh with every release. First gaining notoriety as an associate of Wiz Khalifa, Chevy has gained a devoted fanbase through a decade’s worth of mixtapes and a busy touring schedule. In 2015, Chevy released The 48 Hunnid Project, his first retail release via Taylor Gang Ent. Named after the block he was raised on in the Hazelwood area of Pittsburgh, The 48 Hunnid Project is a legacy-defining EP that finds Woods taking listeners on a journey from the hard times and harsh realities that came in his early years leading into the lavish lifestyle that’s come more recently with world tours and fame. Chevy Woods followed up The 48 Hunnid Project, with a busy 2016, featuring numerous loose singles, freestyles over popular industry beats like Fat Joe and Remy Ma’s “All The Way Up” and Bryson Tiller’s “Don’t,” and highlighted by February’s And the Story Goes…, a 4-part video EP that finds Pittsburgh rapper reflecting on his adolescence and contemplating career paths. Beyond music, Woods has recently been in the spotlight for his culinary skills, which have been featured by Edible Ink and First We Feast. Chevy Woods will make more noise this year with his upcoming full-length album, coming later this fall.

Codeine, Mountain Dew, Weed: All That J.R. Donato Really Needs

Codeine, Mountain Dew, Weed: All That J.R. Donato Really Needs

Video: J.R. Donato – “All That I Need”

Taylor Gang’s Chitown Representative Parties at Fat Tiger Streetwear Workshop in New Video Premiered By Fake Shore Drive

    09.07.2016

    Critical Praise:

“…he uses his voice and flow in unique ways that only someone who’s been writing for close to a decade could pull off”HotNewHipHop

“The future is looking type bright for J.R.”Fake Shore Drive

“At 21-years old, the Chi town native J.R. Donato has already accomplished a lot”GoodMusicAllDay

“Make it count and get in tune with Young Donato”onSMASH

    The Video:

Though Chicago’s J.R. Donato is only 22-years old, his versatility of flows, facility with hooks, and clever punchline lyricism is indicative of his decade of experience in the rap game. In “All That I Need,” Donato’s latest video single, premiered by Fake Shore Drive, the North-sider rides a percussive flow for an epic minute-long verse, boasting about his rhyming ability, his lavish lifestyle, and his prodigious drug habit over towering trap synthesizers and skittering snares: “All these blue hunnids, all these blue hunnids/I be in New York like a Buffalo Bill/Really like Eli, and I be tree high/in these Adidas, n*ggas can’t see I.” Filmed at Chicago’s Fat Tiger Workshop and directed by @aWMfilm, the color-rich video finds Donato mixing his lean with Mountain Dew and mobbing with his posse outside the store. “All That I Need” is the Taylor Gang emcee’s second video of 2016, following the HipHopDX-debuted “Not For None, which dropped in May and featured the rapper dancing around Inception-horns and spiraling sine waves, finding colorful new ways to boast about his lifestyle. Donato also contributed a standout verse to Wiz Khalifa‘s “Make a Play,” featured on the Billboard Top 10 peaking Khalifa album. Carefully planning his next move, J.R. Donato is honing his flow and perfecting his craft for his next breakthrough project.

Last September, J.R. Donato released his Fast Money & Freedom project, which carried a hazy, hypnotic soundscape produced in-full by Sledgren. Donato built up to the release with a series of singles, including “I Suppose,” “Life So Sweet,” and the GoodMusicAllDay-premiered “Mad At Me.” Born and raised on Chicago’s North Side, J.R. Donato started rapping in his early teens, earning a local hit at age 13 under the name Young JR. During his junior year of high school, Donato supported Twista on a regional tour and eventually caught the ear of Wiz Khalifa, who featured J.R. on his Cabin Fever 2 mixtape and later signed him to Taylor Gang Entertainment. “I sound like myself. These days that’s not easy,” J.R. Donato explained in an interview with AllHipHop. “The line for originality is thin, but I think I can walk that line fine. Also all my music has a message in it so it’s always relatable, and that’s what the game needs.”

    JR Donato Background:

J.R. Donato’s music can be summed up into three words; conceptual, vivid and thorough. His image, outlook on life and positivity that he brings to the hiphop community is a breathe of fresh air. His passion manifested itself early in the form of songwriting. “I always wrote about things I had been through or seen,” J.R. says. “I still do. Every song is another piece of my life and story.” Before J.R. reached his teenage years, he was already penning lyrics for himself and others. By the time he was 13, Young J.R. had a regional hit single “500 Degrees,” with a live performance presence that was unheard of for a kid who just left his teens. That led to other tracks like “Money On My Mind” and “We Be Rydin,” creating a sizeable buzz for young entertainer. He was popping up on mixtapes and performing at clubs he was too young to even attend.

🐬🐬”If” Young Dolph Isn’t The Freshest Then Who Is?🐬🐬

    Video: Young Dolph – “If”

Young Dolph Shines in Black And White In Video For “If”

    09.06.2016

    Critical Praise:

“Young Dolph has cultivated that formula that makes the bando jump”XXL

“What makes Dolph exemplary is his affinity for memorable hooks and catchy call-and-response punch lines” – Complex

King of Memphis is worth myriad repeat listens: Dolph bridges the gap between his hometown and the Atlanta production that dominates rap’s mainstream.”SPIN

    Top 10 Hip-Hop Cash Prince of 2016 – Forbes

    The Video:

There are no ifs, ands, or buts about it, Young Dolph is one of rap’s hardest flexers and he continues to prove that in the video for “If.” Filmed in black and white, the video for the stand-out track from Rich Crack Baby finds Dolph in the spotlight, flashing his jewelry, cars, and clothes. Over a hazy bass-rattling beat, Dolph does what he does best and drops boastful verses, showing off his place at the top of the game while demonstrating how he got there.  “If” is the third video from Rich Crack Baby, following up “Trappa” and the title track, “Rich Crack Baby.” With a features list that includes T.I., Gucci Mane, and 2 Chainz and tracks produced by Zaytoven, Drumma Boy, and Honorable C-Note Rich Crack Baby shows that the artists in hip-hop have recognized Dolph’s tremendous talent. His recent nomination for the BET Hip-Hop Awards’ “People’s Champ” Award makes it clear that the rest of rap world can’t deny it anymore either.

Dolph is continuing his busy 2016, with the release of Bo$$e$ and $hooter$ in May and King of Memphis in February. Noisey described the project as “a solid debut album from one of the most quietly popular artists in the South right now.” In addition to dropping three full length projects, the Memphis kingpin also consistently releases high-quality visuals, including the hilarious “Get Paid,” the sensual “On My Way,” co-starring Deelishis, and the absurd “Royalty,” which features cameo appearances from a capuchin monkey, a giraffe, and even a white tiger. In January, Forbes named Young Dolph one of The Hip-Hop Cash Princes of 2016, placing him alongside Fetty Wap, G-Eazy, and Metro Boomin, among others. With his star guest turn on “Cut It the hit by OT Genasis, Dolph made a foray onto the Billboard charts, peaking at number 35 on the Hot 100.

    Young Dolph Background

Born on the South Side of Chicago and raised in notoriously known Castalia Heights neighborhood in South Memphis, Young Dolph emerged in the urban music scene and amassed a large dedicated fan base.  Dolph grew up in a hectic environment, surrounded by drugs and alcohol, but that never completely defined him. He always had a passion for music, but it wasn’t until his peers recognized his talent and suggested that he take rap seriously. Eventually his hustle mentality and creativity led him to consistently dropping mixtape after mixtape. With authentic punch lines and stern club bangers, he created his own lane of High Class Street Music.  On the strength of releasing consistent quality mixtapes, Dolph became one of the only independent musicians to have multiple Top 20 records with “Preach” and “California” and Top 40 records with “Make the World Go Around” and “Pulled Up.” Yet to release an album, the success Dolph has gained from his mixtapes have led to collaborations with some of the most influential artists in hip-hop including 2 Chainz, Juicy J, Young Jeezy, and Rick Ross. In 2015, Dolph headlined his own tour selling out throughout the country.

    EMPIRE Background

EMPIRE was founded in 2010 as an artist-friendly, progressive digital distribution company. After early success, and identifying future icons such as Kendrick Lamar, Sage The Gemini, and Rich Homie Quan, EMPIRE was quickly regarded as a tastemaker in the industry and throughout the past five years evolved into a full-fledged record label, distributor and publisher for independent musicians. With the company and roster growing at a breakneck pace, EMPIRE has effectively disrupted a stale business model by bringing its energy, expertise, and acumen to its artists and labels. Given its reputation, EMPIRE works with today’s hottest talent from superstars such as T.I. and red-hot newcomers such as Anderson .Paak. While remaining 100% independent, EMPIRE has also partnered with Atlantic Records for a joint venture, home to breakout star D.R.A.M. and joined forces with Republic Records for the release of Sage The Gemini’s Remember Me album.

Nef The Pharaoh Revisits His Roots in His Very Bay Area-y Fresh Outta Space 3

Mixtape: Nef The Pharaoh – Fresh Outta Space 3

After Months on the Road With G-Eazy and A$AP Ferg, the Vallejo Rapper Returns Home for His Most Bay Area Project Yet

    09.01.2016

    Critical Praise:

“Neffy Got Wings is the album of the week” – Stereogum

“…the best rapper from Vallejo since the last great rapper from Vallejo” – Jeff Weiss

“…as a rapper, [Nef the Pharaoh] lets the energy lead and the bars follow, boasting and flexing with the kinds of memorable banalities that make up some of hip-hop’s best yet least-celebrated moments.” – Pitchfork

“Nef The Pharaoh is the Bay Area’s next up.” – HotNewHipHop

“Nef the Pharaoh runs neck-and-neck with Kodak Black as the most promising up-and-coming rapper who can’t yet rent a car.”SPIN

    The Mixtape:
Nef The Pharaoh released the first two volumes of his Fresh Outta Space mixtape series when he was only 16, but even at that young age, he demonstrated the laconic wit and eccentric personality that makes him one of the most promising rappers in the game today. Now signed to E-40‘s Sick Wid It Records at age 21, and with the breakthrough hit “Big Tymin’ under his belt, Nef graces the Internet with Fresh Outta Space 3, a celebration of Nef’s newfound success, his happy family life, and the talent renaissance the Bay Area is experiencing. After months of being on the road for G-Eazy’s When It’s Dark Out tour, the new tape is a homecoming for the Vallejo rapper and a chance for new fans to gain a deeper understanding of where Nef comes from. Featuring appearances from Snoop DoggYMTK, Corn Sosa and JG and production from Cardo Got Wings, P-Lo, Arkitekz, Jay Nari of League of Stars and more, Fresh Outta Space 3 is the next step on Nef’s journey to greatness.

“I was going to name this project Songs That Didn’t Make the Album” explains Nef The Pharaoh, “but then I wanted to point people back to my earlier projects in case they hadn’t heard of them. That’s why I made it the third installment of my Fresh Outta Space series. This project is super Bay Area. I’m fresh from being on the road for so long, I’m finally back home, back in the Bay, and I’m feeling saturated. It’s got a good mix of old school Bay Area and current Bay Area sounds. This project reflects that I’ve become more wise in my surroundings, I’ve become more alert to life, I appreciate things more. Every day I wake up happy I’m here. This mixtape is me giving myself to the world and doing what I’m supposed to do. And giving you a fun soundtrack for your life.”

Fresh Outta Space 3 is as sonically diverse and funky as the Bay Area itself. “Everything Big,” the project’s P-Lo-produced and FADER-premiered first single and a spiritual successor to “Big Tymin’,” is a valedictory track about Nef’s ability to provide for himself and his family and live a life of luxury at the same time. The Architekz-produced “Do Ya Thang” is an inspirational track inspired by 2Pac’s “Keep Ya Head Up,” while the Snoop Dogg-featuring “Smoke Suffa” is the ultimate song for the heads and “ATM” is a strip club anthem. Featuring a spoken-word introduction from Sway of Shade 45‘s Sway in the Morning and an emotional closing track dedicated to Nef’s infant son, Fresh Outta Space 3 suits all moods.

Nef The Pharaoh delivered his debut retail release, a self-titled EP, in November 2015 to high critical praise and commercial success for its single “Big Tymin’.” Nef followed his breakthrough project by joining producer Cardo for Neffy Got Wings, a collaborative EP which released in January. In the ensuing months, Nef kept a high profile as a featured artist, appearing with D.R.A.M. on E-40’s Slappin’ which has nearly 600,000 views on YouTube, interpolating Shaggy’s immortal “It Wasn’t Me”on H.B.I.C.” from Bay Area producer Juneonnabeat‘s solo album, joining fellow rising star Rexx Life Rajfor Moxie Java,” and teaming with Casey Veggies for the DJ Mustard-produced Stupidly Crazy,” stealing the spotlight from Future on the highlight from DJ Esco‘s E.T.: The Esco-TerrestrialWith Fresh Outta Space 3, Nef cements a successful 2016 and paves the way for his debut official release, coming soon.

    08.30.16

The Hyphy Movement is back,” Nef The Pharaoh announces in the opening toDumb Life,” a single from his album due out tomorrow, Fresh Outta Space 3.  He delivers on this declaration, rhyming about thizzing, gigging, and generally living the dumb life over Mike Larrry’s bass-knocking mid-tempo, party beat.  Nef demonstrates the laconic wit and eccentric personality that he displayed on the first two volumes of his Fresh Outta Space mixtape series. Now signed to E-40‘s Sick Wid It Records at age 21, and with the breakthrough hit “Big Tymin’ under his belt, Nef is celebrating his newfound success, his happy family life, and the current talent renaissance in Bay Area Hip-Hop on Fresh Outta Space 3. After months on the road in support of G-Eazy and A$AP Ferg on the When It’s Dark Out tourthe new tape is a homecoming for the Vallejo rapper and a chance for new fans to gain a deeper understanding of where Nef comes from.

Atlanta’s Ralo Teams Up With Young Scooter To Celebrate Surviving The Streets

  • Press Release

Atlanta’s Ralo Teams Up With Young Scooter To Celebrate Surviving The Streets

Video: Ralo – “Survivor” Ft. Young Scooter

Ralo and Young Scooter Drop Solemn Video For “Survivor”

    08.31.2016

    The Video:

Surviving the streets is no small accomplishment and Atlanta’s Ralo knows that as well as any rapper. Today, joined by fellow Atlantan and frequent collaborator Young Scooter, Ralo released the video for “Survivor,” a solemn track that celebrates that both of them made it off the streets intact and pays homage to those that didn’t. While the beat would fit right in on any trap track celebrating a life of a crime, both Young Scooter, who supplies the hook, and Ralo go the introspective route, giving us personal lyrics about the struggles they went through and how they made it out, even though the odds were stacked against them. The video, which came out on WorldStar Hip-Hop, follows them through Atlanta traps, stash spots, and a jail as they reminisce over the near misses.

“Survivor” is a standout track from Diary of the Streets II, a full length project Ralo released yesterday. The project, a sequel to the popular Diary of The Streets I, delivers on what we have come to expect from Ralo, trap bangers with a strong melodic element and personal and introspective lyrics. He also released a preview of the music video for “Wish Me the Best,” from Diary of Streets II, that features fellow Atlantan YFN Lucci and cameos from Future and Birdman, who hosts the project.  Also featuring guest appearances from Young Thug, Lil Uzi Vert, 21 Savage, and Shy Glizzy, and with production fromSouthside, DJ Plugg, and Wheezy, Diary of the Streets II is a fitting monument to Ralo’s stature on the streets.

The project is the culmination of a busy summer for Ralo. Last week he released a video for “Letter To Birdman,” a tribute to one of his mentors and role models which premiered on XXL. This came a week after Noisey premiered Ralo’s Future-featuring, Southside-produced banger “My Brothers,” alongside a Q&A. Noisey also premiered the Shy Glizzy-featuring “Dear Your Honor,” Ralo’s heartfelt plea for a fairer criminal justice system. Earlier, Ralo recruited three of America’s hottest rappers for the Complex-premiered DOTS II single Flexing on Purpose,a monstrous, lurching turn-up banger featuring Lil Uzi VertYoung Thug, and 21 Savage. Though that level of star power would dwarf a lesser artist, Ralo rises to the occasion, shining with his trademark charisma. Diary of the Streets II is a unique approach to the Atlanta sound, elevated by Ralo’s depth of feeling and force of personality. “I’m not just rapping for exposure,” explains Ralo. “I want to bring people together. I want to have a good influence on the community; I want people to stop fighting each other.”

Atlanta’s Ralo Releases Diary of the Streets II, Hosted by Birdman

Album: Ralo – Diary of the Streets II

Ralo Drops Project About Coming From The Streets, Releases Preview For “Wish Me The Best” Video

    08.30.2016

    The Project:

Few rappers can claim that they have as much street-cred as Atlanta’s Ralo. He started hustling at the age of 13, selling CDs and DVDs, and he hasn’t looked back, eventually becoming a fixture of the Atlanta streets. Always interested in music, Ralo wrote and rapped even when he was hustling. Once he turned his focus onto music however, his career took off quickly. Working with some of the biggest artists in Atlanta, including Future, Young Thug, and Young Scooter, Ralo quickly became a fixture in the Southeast’s rap scene. Premiered last night by FADERDiary of the Streets II, the sequel to last year’s popular Diary of the Streets, is the next step in Ralo’s ascension to stardom. The project, now available for purchase, delivers on what we have come to expect from Ralo, trap bangers with a strong melodic element and personal and introspective lyrics. Featuring guest appearances from Future, Young Thug, Lil Uzi Vert, 21 Savage, Shy Glizzy and Birdman, who hosts the project, and with production fromSouthside, DJ Plugg, and Wheezy, Diary of the Streets II is a monument to Ralo’s stature on the streets.

Ralo brings the always-be-working, never-be-resting mindset of hustling to music, so it should come as no surprise that he wasn’t content with just dropping a project. He also released a preview of the music video for “Wish Me the Best,” from Diary of Streets II, that features fellow Atlantan YFN Lucci and cameos from Future and Birdman. Featuring black and white footage of Ralo performing, recording, and whipping a foreign the two trappers trade verses celebrating their success against the odds, tantalizingly teasing what’s to come.

This release is the culmination of a busy summer for Ralo. Last week he released a video for “Letter To Birdman,” a tribute to one of his mentors and role models which premiered on XXL. 🐬🐬You Can’t Deny How Hard Young Dolph Stunts In “Trappa”🐬🐬

    Video: Young Dolph – “Trappa”

Taking Over Magic City, Young Dolph Fulfills His Ambitionz Az a “Trappa”

    08.29.2016

    Critical Praise:

“Young Dolph has cultivated that formula that makes the bando jump”XXL

“What makes Dolph exemplary is his affinity for memorable hooks and catchy call-and-response punch lines” – Complex

King of Memphis is worth myriad repeat listens: Dolph bridges the gap between his hometown and the Atlanta production that dominates rap’s mainstream.”SPIN

    Top 10 Hip-Hop Cash Prince of 2016 – Forbes

    The Video:

He can’t deny it and neither should you: Young Dolph is a genuine star of both hip-hop and the trap. In a rare showcase of his melodic talent, Dolph lifts the hook from Tupac’s “Ambitionz Az A Ridah” and traps it out in the aptly-named “Trappa.” Taking over Magic City and throwing stacks around, Dolph is stunting as hard as ever, he and his squad surrounded by women in various states of undress. With tight bursts of snare and high-hat over a wall of bass and a deceptively catchy piano melody, the beat is a perfect fit for Dolph’s brand of witty and evocative trap rhymes and he does not disappoint, riding the beat perfectly.  “Trappa” is a stand-out track from Dolph’s mixtape Rich Crack Baby, which came out last Friday. With a features list that includes T.I., Gucci Mane, and 2 Chainz, tracks produced by Zaytoven, Drumma Boy, and Honorable C-Note, and having just received a nomination for the BET Hip-Hop Awards’ “People’s Champ” Award it is clear that the rest of rap world can’t deny it anymore either.

With his vast catalogue of work and unmistakable persona, it’s officially the summer of Dolph – catch him on his national Royalty Tour, which will have The Loft inAtlanta going up this Tuesday.

“Caleb has proven himself to a MC in the purest form, eschewing the flashy brag raps for a centered focus on precise wordplay and introspective storytelling paired with some of the best production that the Bay can offer.”EARMILK

“One of the Bay Area’s most promising upcoming artists” Good Music All Day

lyrical mastermind” –  East Bay Express

Caleborate delivers his rhymes with the confidence of a vet” – Complex

…one of the most promising spitters coming out right now” – XXL

a mix of personal songwriting and quick wit” – The FADER

“Caleb comes across like someone who’s honest with himself and everyone around him” – Uproxx

[Caleborate] displays the poise and wisdom of a rap veteran” – HipHopDX

    The Album:

Blessed with an affinity for wordplay and a compelling sing-song cadence, Caleborate is one of the most promising young rappers to hit the Bay Area scene today. The 23 year-old rapper is sharing his 1993 album, which debuted via Complex and features appearances by Sylvan LaCue and Pell, as well as production from P-LoMikos Da Gawd, HBK’s Kuya Beats, Cal-A, and Julia Lewis. Following up his acclaimed 2015 release Hella Good1993 combines nostalgia for the 23-year-old rapper’s childhood with reflections on modern life, exploring Caleborate’s unique generational point-of-view through varied production and complex lyrical themes.

“1993 is my birth year and I personally think that the stretch between ’90 and ’95 was a pretty special time to be born in because we got to experience life pre-cell phone, but we came of age when technology became an inseparable part of everyone’s everyday lives. I remember finding music using Kazaa and burning CD’s. I remember using MapQuest before GoogleMaps. I had a house phone. But I’m also a digital native,” Caleborate explained to Complex. “The music on 1993 is reflective of the kind of music and the TV shows I watched growing up. I distinctly remember the blending of the two worlds–I was watching Family Matters on TV, but also Buzzfeed videos on my phone. The music on this project has sample-based stuff that sounds like Kanye’s but there’s also more beat-driven stuff that sounds like it could be played alongside Kaytranada. The lyrical content is reflective of where I am in my life as a young adult. I’m talking about stuff that other 22- and 23-year-old people are going through.”

Caleborate has been consistently treating his fans this summer leading up to the release of 1993, sharing the VIBE-premiered single “Options,” a soulful summer jam which was added to Spotify’s Most Necessary playlist. He followed the single with a video for “‘08 Carter Flow,” premiered by REVOLT, as well as the hard-hitting loosie Made Me,” which debuted on The FADER. Born and raised in Sacramento, Caleborate built his considerable fanbase online, eventually growing big enough to earn a mention on the 2014 edition of The Thizzler‘s Bay Area Freshman 10, which has featured luminaries such as Nef The PharaohIAMSU!, and Sage The Gemini. In 2015, Caleborate collaborated with G-Eazy for Want It All and released his album Hella Good, which received critical praise from Pigeons & Planes, The Source, and SF Weekly, which named it the Best Hip-Hop Album of the Bay Area for 2015. With this momentum, Caleborate is just getting started. 1993 is available for stream and download now.

    Caleborate Background:

A Berkeley bred student of hip-hop and all around eclectic artist, Caleborate has been renowned as one of the games most promising emcee’s. With lyrics that represent the unique struggles of the average 20-something, and stanza’s about the day to day grind as a collegiate youth, he covers topics far and wide and is anything but shallow. After being awarded the “Best Hip Hop Album of The Bay Area” in 2015 by SF Weekly, Caleborate is poised to sit cross-legged atop the hip-hop genre someday.

    The Video:

Ghost riding his Dodge Charger in San Francisco’s AT&T Park’s parking lot in view of the San Francisco Bay, Fillmore emcee Show Banga delivers a fun visual premiered today by Hip-HopDX for “Steez 101,” an energetic jam perfect for late-summer. Rhyming near the park’s famous Willie Mays Gate,  Show Banga spits relaxed witticisms over an echoing, X-Files whistle synth, snapping snares, and modular bass: “No coffee but a star with the damn bucks.” The latest single from Show Banga’s third studio album Show Time 2, released earlier this month via EMPIRE, “Steez” follows the XXL premiere of the video for $howtime, the album’s opening track, a motivational hustler’s anthem and the mission statement for the record, and the Mass Appeal premiere of “Can’t Stand Me,” featuring Kool John.

Show Banga learned all his game from his father, Show Time, a business man and well-respected hustler who played a vital role in supporting local Bay Area street rap throughout the ‘90s and ‘00s. Coming from San Francisco’s storied Fillmore District, Show Banga is a unique talent, mixing elements of the Mob Music of his hometown, the ratchet beats popular across the Bay, and Southern influences prevalent in East Oakland street rap into a signature blend of turn-up. Featuring guest spots from Sage The Gemini, Lil Yee and Kool John, along with four features from IAMSU! and production from IAMSU!, JuneonnabeatNikeyboyYoung Page and others, Show Time 2 proves Show Banga is one of the Bay’s premier young artists and that he has the charisma to break out of the Bay onto the national scene. Show Time 2, a true Bay Area affair, is currently available for purchase.

    Show Banga Background:

Show Banga received his moniker from his father, nicknamed ShowTime, a hustler who opened up several independent music stores in the Bay Area and started Hunid Racks, a successful energy drink company that peaked in popularity during the Hyphy era in the Bay. Show Banga follows in his father’s footsteps, dedicating his life to getting money in any way possible. After getting kicked out of his mother’s house when she found a gun in his bedroom, Show Banga went to live with his father in Vallejo. In Vallejo, he attended Pinole Valley High School where he met many of the original members of HBK, eventually forming the Go Gettaz with IAMSU! and P-Lo, which gained a sizable local following before disbanding in 2011. Since then, Show Banga has earned success as a solo artist while still frequently collaborating with HBK artists such as IAMSU!, Kool John, and Sage The Gemini. Last year, the Fillmore rapper released his EMPIRE debut Mayor 4 Life, which DJ Booth called a “bridge between the Bay Area’s more gritty, street sound and it’s more polished, mainstream hip-hop.” Show Banga’s next album, Show Time 2, officially releases on August 12th and is currently available for pre-order.

    The Announcement:

Young Dolph never stops. Even though he is in the midst of his nationwide Royalty Tour, this Friday he will be dropping Rich Crack Baby, a brand new mixtape. Dolph is fresh off of releasing a string ludicrously lavish music videos, including the palatial Royalty, the decadent Both Ways, and one for the triumphant title track Rich Crack Baby, which have cemented him as one of the biggest young rappers coming out of the South right now. With features from T.I., Gucci Mane, 2 Chainz, Boosie Bad Azz, Wale, and 21 Savage and tracks produced by Zaytoven, Drumma BoyC-Note, Izzetheproducer, and DJ Squeeky this tape clearly shows that the rest of the rap world has recognized Young Dolph and realized they need to get on board, or get out of the way.

This has been a big year for Dolph, with the release of Bo$$e$ and $hooter$ in May and King of Memphis in February. Noisey described the project as “a solid debut album from one of the most quietly popular artists in the South right now.” Forbes named Young Dolph one of The Hip-Hop Cash Princes of 2016, placing him alongside Fetty Wap, G-Eazy, and Metro Boomin, among others. Complex also dubbed him one of 15 Unsigned Rappers Who Should Get A Deal After SXSW. “What makes Dolph exemplary is his affinity for memorable hooks and catchy call-and-response punch lines,” Complex raved. “This is Young Thug without the odd quirk.” With his vast catalogue of work and unmistakable persona, it’s officially the summer of Dolph – catch him on his national Royalty Tour, which stops at SOB’s in New York City this Friday.

Caleborate “Exorcises His Demons” on the Soul-Searching “Made Me”

MP3: Caleborate – “Made Me” (Prod. by Kuya Beats & Trollex)

Caleborate Lays Out His Motivations On This Fader Premiered Appetizer for 1993, Releasing August 29th

    08.19.2016

    Critical Praise for Caleborate

“One to watch in 2016.” – Pigeons & Planes

“Caleb has proven himself to a MC in the purest form, eschewing the flashy brag raps for a centered focus on precise wordplay and introspective storytelling paired with some of the best production that the Bay can offer.”EARMILK

“One of the Bay Area’s most promising upcoming artists” Good Music All Day

    The Song:

Though Northern California emcee Caleborate is only 23, he displays the poise and wisdom of a rap veteran on “Made Me,” premiered yesterday by The FADER. Riding a laidback flow over spritely minor key piano chords, pitch-shifted synth bass, and muted snare drums courtesy of Kuya Beats and Trollex, Caleborate reflects on growing up in poverty and stunts on rappers more interested in their social media pages than giving their families a better life. Rather than wallow in his troubles, Caleborate uses his hardships as motivation: “I ain’t satisfied with what I got/cause never havin’ nothin’ made me wanna ball.” “Made Me” is an ideal table-setter for 1993, Caleborate’s second studio album, releasing August 29th.

“I made this record because it needed to be heard,” explains Caleborate to The FADER. “A lot of the things I said in this record are meant to spark a thought in someone’s mind. I remember the night I wrote it, I was coming from the studio and thinking I was out of inspiration, I hopped on the Bart train and inadvertently started people-watching. I had an interesting thought when looking at one dude. I just started thinking about the place we’re in as people, as black males… All that… It just got me writing instantly. And out came this song.”

Earlier this month, Caleborate shared the VIBE-premiered 1993 single “Options,” a soulful summer jam with halting, chopped up production from Cal-A and guest spots from Pell and Sylvan LaCue, which was recently added to Spotify’s Most Necessary playlist. More recently, Caleborate shared the “cinematic” video for “‘08 Carter Flow,” premiered by REVOLT, which includes home movie-style clips of Caleborate and his friends.. Following up his acclaimed 2015 release Hella Good, which received praise from Pigeons & Planes, The Source, and SF Weekly, which named it the Best Hip-Hop Album of the Bay Area for 2015, 1993 combines nostalgia for the 23-year-old rapper’s childhood with reflections on modern life, exploring Caleborate’s unique generational point-of-view through varied production and complex lyrical themes. Featuring production from P-Lo, Mikos Da Gawd, HBK’s Kuya Beats, Cal-A, and Julia Lewis, 1993 represents a step forward for Caleborate and is an excellent entry point for new fans.

Ralo Pays Tribute to Birdman and the Cash Money Millionaires in New Video

Ralo Pays Tribute to Birdman and the Cash Money Millionaires in New Video

Video: Ralo – “Letter to Birdman”

XXL Premieres the ATL Rapper’s Tribute to the Cash Money/Rich Gang Boss As Ralo Gears Up for Diary of the Streets II

    08.23.2016

    The Video:

Every ’90s baby grew up idolizing the Cash Money Millionaires. The Hot Boyz and Big Tymers brought a brash, Southern flair to a Hip-Hop era dominated by the East and West Coasts, flashing their bling and riding their outsized personalities to chart success. Though most of those who worshipped Cash Money wanted to be Lil Wayne or Juvenile, Atlanta rapper Ralo looked up to Cash Money label boss Birdman, 🐤*birdcall sound*🐦  as detailed in his new video “Letter to Birdman.” Premiered today by XXL, “Letter to Birdman” reveals that Ralo appreciates Birdman not for how he flaunts his riches, but for his generosity of wealth and spirit, welcoming his label signees into an extended family and treating them to lives of luxury. In the video, Ralo composes his letter in a trap house, surrounded by cash and jewelry, with interspersed clips from classic Cash Money videos. “I never wanted to be like ‘Pac,” says Ralo in the song’s intro, “I wanted to be like Birdman. I wanted to buy my n*ggas some cars. I wanted to buy my n*ggas some jewelry.”

Hosted by Birdman himselfDiary of the Streets II is the sequel to last year’s popular Diary of the StreetsFeaturing guest appearances from Future, Young Thug, Lil Uzi Vert, 21 Savage, Shy Glizzyand BirdmanDiary of the Streets II is a monument to Ralo’s stature on the streets, packed with melodic trap anthems and impressive songwriting about a wide array of topics that affect Ralo in his everyday life. With production from Southside, DJ Plugg, Weezy, and Goose, Diary of the Streets II hits the internet on August 29th.

Last week, Noisey premiered Ralo’s Future-featuring, Southside-produced banger “My Brothers,” alongside a Q&A.

  • Press Release

South Florida Streaming Phenom wifisfuneral Stunts on Palm Tree-lined Streets in “Just a Year Ago”

Video: wifisfuneral – “Just a Year Ago” ft. Danny Towers

Currently Headlining the Black Heart Revenge Tour, wifisfuneral Premieres the Nassacre-Directed Video via The Smoking Section

    08.23.2016

    Critical Praise:

“‘It Don’t Matter’ puts Wifisfuneral over a raucous, Robb Bank$-produced beat, with keys straight out of a science fiction film. He raps about women, drugs, being fearless, and most importantly, ignoring people who talk too much. Never get too wrapped up in the naysayers and the time wasters; they’ll never help you be great. The song is visceral, it gets to point, and it should be played as loudly as possible.” NOISEY

“Wifisfuneral is one of the emerging underground champions who is proving he can play to packed venues across North America and dominate the online world.” – HYPETRAK

    The Video:

With over 8 million total SoundCloud streams at just 19-years-old, Palm Beach, Florida’s wifisfuneral is ready break loose on a national scale. In “Just A Year Ago,” wifi reflects on the abrupt transition from being a high school dropout, to a drug addict overdosing on adderall and cocaine last year, to headlining a national tour this month. The video for “Just A Year Ago,” directed by Nassacre and premiered today byThe Smoking Section, finds wifi stunting in the palm tree-lined streets of his hometown and on a bridge near sight of the glimmering Miami skyline alongside the gruff-voiced Danny Towers who assists wifi with the hook. With hazy keys and booming bass by Henry Daher, “Just A Year Ago” is a solid introduction to wifisfuneral for the uninitiated and a treat for his biggest fans alike.

wifisfuneral’s national Black Heart Revenge Tour commences August 18th in Dallas and continuesuntil reaching Los Angeles in September. Featuring supporting appearances from $ki Mask The Slump God and Danny Towers, the Black Heart Revenge tour is wifisfuneral’s first headlining tour. The Black Heart Revenge tour arrives hot on the heels of Black Heart Revenge, wifisfuneral’s breakthrough project, which charted at #69 on the iTunes Hip-Hop Chart with virtually no promotion, and earned wifi a co-sign from Earl Sweatshirt. Praised by Complex as a “raw brand of turn up music meant to be played at high volumes in his hometown of Palm Beach and beyond,” Black Heart Revenge, which released via wifi’s own label Rich Life Records, marks the beginning of a promising career for Wifisfuneral, featuring tracks like the braggadocious “It Don’t Matter,” which earned over 638,000 plays on Soundcloud, the Yung SVGE-produced anthem “Lights” (463,000 plays), and the dark, street banger “Trap $pot” (362,000 plays). Earlier this month, Mass Appeal premiered the eerie, candlelit video for “Grim,” and VIBE Magazine profiled wifisfuneral in their “NEXT” series. With the Black Heart Revenge Tour, wifisfuneral will look to expand his devoted fanbase and bring his dark sonics and complex lyricism to a national audience.

    Wifisfuneral Background

In just one year, nineteen year old South Florida rapper Wifisfuneral has taken his dark sonics, mature-beyond-his-years lyrics, and trunk rattling bass from the streets of Palm Beach to the world, amassing over 8.5 million streams and over 60,000 followers across all platforms. Wifisfuneral’s growth has been organic and cult-like, with his fans spreading his music like wildfire with each and every release.
