The singing/rapping double-threat is currently preparing for the summer release of upcoming mixtape DayOne Forever. Next up we venture to the Bay Area with popular rapper/songwriter Bobby Brackins with the Galore Mag-premiered “Joy Ride,” a minimalist, Nic Nac-produced banger featuring Austin Mahone on the hook. “Joy Ride” is one of the highlights from …To Live For, the first in a planned trilogy of EPs, which premiered in Billboard on May 13th. Following “Joy Ride” is another party anthem: “New Phone Who Dis,” by L.A. production duo Casper & B. Featuring rhymes from New Orleans rapper Pell, the Mass Appeal-premiered single prepares listeners for Low Battery Summer, the duo’s album coming June 20th, which fuses various genres into a vibrant, danceable melting pot. Following Casper & B is Mississippi newcomer Lil Lonnie with “Change Up,” a Billboard premiered single featuring Bryson Tiller. Produced by Big Fruit (the man behind “Law” by Yo Gotti & E-40), “Change Up” is the first release from Lonnie’s upcoming TKWGO 2, coming later this month. Closing out the podcast on a wistful note is California rapper and Xzibit/B Real collaborator Demrick, with “Back in the Daze,” a HotNewHipHop–premiered recounting of the artist’s come up. Long working in the shadows and earning the respect of the West Coast, Demrick looks to break out on his own with Collect Call, releasing June 24th.
