The Announcement:
Peewee Longway might not be the most recognizable artist in trap music, but he has been one of the most important since he came on the scene. For example, the MPA BandCamp clique leader and 1017 Records signee is the one who introduced Young Thug to Gucci Mane, leading to Thugger getting signed. This year, Peewee has stepped out from behind the scenes and into the spotlight. Following up his January album Mr. Blue Benjamin, Peewee just released a new mixtape, Longway Sinatra. 11 tracks long, the mixtape is a collaboration with Cassius Jay, one of Atlanta’s hottest producers. The two pair well together, Peewee’s tight-spun, quick spit verses the perfect complement to the Jay produced trap bangers. The mixtape, a follow-up to Cassius Jay’s mixtape Trap Sinatra, also features guest appearances from E-40, Offset, and TK Kravitz.
Longway Sinatra is accompanied by the video for “Master Peewee,” a standout track from the album. A good taste of the tape, Cassius Jay’s beat bangs as Peewee spits his tight verses, celebrating the trap lifestyle. The video follows Peewee to a trap house, gas station, and ice cream truck as he talks about being able to hook it up like the ice cream man. This project is culmination of a busy year for Peewee. In January, he dropped Mr. Blue Benjamin, his debut solo album. The album featured appearances by Gucci Mane, Wiz Khalifa, Juicy Jay, Young Dolph, MPA Turk, and Lolife Blacc and production by Zaytoven, members of 808 Mafia, and Cassius Jay among others. This summer he hosted the Money, Pounds, Ammunition 3 mixtape, a showcase of the members of his MPA BandCamp clique that also featured Rae Sremmurd, Migos, Jose Gaupo, and others. With Longway Sintara, Peewee is ending the year on a highnote as he steps into the big time.

Artist Name Background:
Peewee Longway, born Quincy Williams, is an Atlanta based artist known for his unorthodox flow and extraordinary use of intonation. Hailing from the tough streets of South Atlanta, Peewee, as his friends refer to him, grew up in a single parent home with one brother and one sister. Regardless of the obstacles he was presented with Peewee Longway still found a way to persevere and becomeknown as one of Atlanta’s most revered lyrical new artists. His debut mixtape Money, Pounds, Ammunition was released in March of 2013. Though most became familiar with Peewee Longway from his affiliation with his mentor, and close friend, Gucci Mane’s label 1017, he actually nurtured and created his own imprint, MPA Bandcamp Music Group. The next release, Running Around the Lobby, picked up steam and earned Peewee loyal fans that call themselves “Lobby Runners”. In turn this became the name to the third mixtape he put out that same year, in December of 2013.
Much like his peers that emerged from the Trap Music explosion in Atlanta, such Young Thug and Future, Peewee’s work ethic is phenomenal having released 10 projects since his debut in 2013. The last three projects Peewee released (Blue M&M King Size & MPA Vol. 2 & 3) were actually released in just months of each other. When asked, Peewee says that among his favorite Groups and Artists are the Hot Boyz, No Limit, Tupac, E40, and Gucci Mane. With hits like “Sneekin and Geekin,” “Cost to Be the Boss,” and “I Just Want the Money,” Peewee began to gain the attention of Legends like LL Cool J, who named him his “favorite new artist”. He also began to record with fellow Artists, such as ASAP Rocky, E40, Juicy J, Wiz Khalifa, and Wale. Music Publications including The Fader, Complex, and XXL have also taken notice of the budding superstar, crediting his contribution to the evolution of Southern music. With the release of his most recent project, Longway Sinatra executive produced by Cassius Jay, Peewee hopes to finally catapult his career to the next level. Longway Sinatra will be Peewee Longway’s second commercial release. With the music world on pins and needles waiting for his new musical offering, Peewee takes it all in stride. Known for his bubbly personality, bright smile, and animated hand gestures, he quotes ”The best is yet to come, they’re not ready.”
