The Mixtape and Video: 

Following the recent explosion of two of the West Coast’s biggest hip-hop artists, Sage The Gemini and Iamsu!, comes the debut of P-Lo, another rising star from HBK Gang. After producing his high-school buddy Iamsu!’s tracks “Gettin It,“ “Mobbin,“ “100 Grand,“ and others, P-Lo soon received calls from elite rappers Wiz Khalifa and Yo Gotti, both of whom enlisted P-Lo to produce tracks on their albums. With such early success, we can only imagine where P-Lo is headed.

His new mixtape MBMGC 2 (More B*tches, More Gold Chains 2) features production from P-Lo, Iamsu!, Tha Bizness, YPonTheBeat, and Cal-A as well as guest verses from other HBK Gang cohorts. Also debuting today is the video for lead single “Going to Work” (directed by David Caramena), which incorporates the amazing album cover (and rightly so, it is amazing) and features gel-lit shots of P-Lo and his crew “going to work,” doing stuff like The Bernie and hanging out with girlies.

The MBMGC 2 mixtape and the “Going to Work” video debut on The FADER today.
