Teaming up with acclaimed producer Ryan Hemsworth, the Sick Wid It Records rapper releases “Mistletoe,” his unique spin on the Christmas spirit of giving. 😭 Playfully spitting boastful rhymes over dulcet piano lines, Nef flips melodies and lyrics from some holiday classics, including “Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer,” “Jingle Bells,” and “I Saw Mommy Kissing Claus.” Spreading Christmas cheer as only Nef can, “Mistletoe” will turn any ordinary holiday party into a true turn-up function.

Explains Nef, “I love Christmas and I’m a ratchet-ass n*gga. That’s what makes me the Chang. You can go to the club after you open your gifts and turn up to this. May all my female and male fans get blown under the mistletoe.” When asked what would happen if his Grandma heard this song, Nef replied, “I would look at her accusingly in the eye and say, ‘You was young once.'”

“Mistletoe” is a cheerful bookend to close Nef’s successful 2016. Nef started the year opening for G-Eazy and A$AP Ferg on the “When It’s Dark Out Tour,” playing shows across the US and Europe. In January, Nef released Neffy Got Wings, an acclaimed collaboration with the producer Cardo, which placed third on Fact Mag’s Best Rap Albums of 2016. After a summer of featuring on local smashes such as E-40’s “Slappin’” and fellow rising star Rexx Life Raj’s “Moxie Java,” Big Chang Chang dropped Fresh Outta Space 3, his second full-length of the year, in late August. Inspired and influenced by his fellow artists in the Bay Area, Fresh Outta Space 3 is a sonically diverse that suits all moods. Most recently, Nef teamed up with Juvenile for “Put You On” and G-Eazy for “Born Leader,” two singles that could very well appear on Nef’s next project, due in 2017.
