My Favorite Color‘s keen sense of visuals matches the chaotic energy he exudes in his rhymes–he’s hyperactive, but always is in control. Coming through with another high-concept visual, My Favorite Color shares “Mayday.” A jazzy and off-kilter banger that announces the artist as a major and uncompromising talent, “Mayday” is a lyrical showcase that veers to every corner of the rapper’s mind, mixing party-positive flexes with tongue-twisting geopolitical analysis. Directed by Dee Sauce, the new video matches the energy of the sirenic instrumental.
