The Song:

Embracing his love of electronica and ‘90s RnB, SuperDuperKYLE channels SBTRKT-like vibes and samples “Shorty Swing My Way” for his newest single, “Endless Summer Symphony” from his forthcoming album SMYLE, due October 2nd. Opening with a choppy deep house line, KYLE traverses through double-time, half-time, and even a bridge where he sings, reminiscing about past summer’s lovin’ and how he never wants the summer to end.

“If I have a certain season to claim, it’s summertime. I don’t know if anyone else feels that type of way about a season but it’s when I come to life. The song expresses the great times I had during the summer, growing up and even now,” explains KYLE.

Often photographed with a surfboard and known to surf the crowd at shows on top of a surfboard, literally “crowd surfing ” the Ventura, California native used the 1966 cult classic surf film The Endless Summer as inspiration for the single cover artwork.

Growing as an awkward bi-racial kid from a lower middle class family growing up in a small beach town 60 miles north of L.A., KYLE eschews rapper stereotypes to focus on being a very average, happy young Californian who happens to be an amazing performer with a strong spirit.

“Endless Summer Symphony,” produced by Stefan Ponce (Chance the Rapper, Childish Gambino, Vic Mensa) and M-Phazes (Eminem, Kimbra), is the second single from SMYLE, which highlights KYLE’s versatility and I-don’t-giva-a-fuck-ness about what a rapper should sound and feel like.

Featuring guest appearances from Chance the Rapper and Yuna, and more, Kyle’s eclecticism is on full display, which VIBE co-signed when they recently premiered a triangle of videos saying, “he has no problem genre-hopping from hip hop to RnB to dance to pop.” While experiencing a series of set-backs and challenges while growing up, Kyle learned to focus on the positive as a way to get through it all. It literally saved his life and as a result, he’s been spreading the gospel of positivity ever since.
