Along with the new album, King Lil G shares “Been On,” a new video for a highlight from the project. “Been On” finds the AK Forty Seven Boyz chieftain shouting down haters from their perch at the top of the Cali rap food chain: “B*tches pullin’ up and I ain’t sent no invitation/Different type of hustles, I got different occupations,” rhymes Lil G. Filmed in crisp black-and-white, and directed by King Lil G himself, the video finds Lil G chilling in a garage with an all-white Wraith and two beautiful companions.
Born in Los Angeles and raised by a single mother, Alex Gonzalez quickly learned how to provide for his family, earning by any means necessary. He found a better way to make a living when he turned full-time to rapping in the early 2010s, taking inspiration from 2Pac, NWA, Snoop Dogg, and the G-Funk movement.
