Critical Praise:

“Dolph’s most prominent PRE signee [Key Glock] shows why he’s next up out of Memphis with tons of fun punchlines, cutting insults and a versatile delivery style that is in its own way as forceful as his label boss” – Noisey

“Key Glock raps with an authoritative wisdom well beyond his age” – The FADER

“[Key Glock] will inevitably be on your radar in the months to come… he has a way with words that stick and resonate with his steadily growing fanbase.” – Karen Civil

“… unparalleled lyrical style and fierce approach” – ELEVATOR

The Video:

Oozing self-confidence and dripping with swag, Memphis’s Key Glock is a font of forceful charisma. Smoking the finest kush and rocking expensive jewelry, Key Glock attacks a minimalist instrumental on Orville Redenbacher,” premiered by HotNewHipHop. Produced by Tay Keith, one of Tennessee’s most in-demand beatsmiths and the man behind BlocBoy JB & Drake’s “Look Alive,” Key Glock powers the new single through blunt-force and charisma, crafting an anthem for flexing and riding: “Yeah that me, six chains, Mr. T/Yeah, you know me, smokin’ on that Russian Cream/There go Glock, she like ‘man of my dreams’/No I’m not, bitch you ain’t my cup of tea.”

Explains Key Glock, “‘Orville Redenbacher’ is some classic Tennessee shit. Tay Keith cooked up the beat, and I got it poppin’.”

Taking his talents to the Big Apple, Key Glock struts around the city in Big Glock,” his latest video. A boastful and outrageous anthem, “Big Glock” epitomizes the appeal of Glock’s outsized persona: “You know they call me Big Glock, lil bitch/Yeah, my swag drip, make a bitch wanna lick/All these n*ggas pissed, you know Big Glock, I’m the shit.” Premiered by The FADER this past Friday, “Big Glock” is a standout track from Glock Bond, Key Glock’s latest release.

A 15-track dose of no-bullshit street music with no features, Key Glock shoulders the load with an uncommon toughness and a palpable swagger on Glock Bond. Featuring production from Tay Keith, Sosa 808, Teddy Walton, Ramy On The Beat, and DJ SqueekyGlock Bond is a worthy follow-up to 2017’s Glock Season, which has over 6 million combined streams on Spotify. Released by Young Dolph‘s Paper Route Empire and distributed by EMPIREGlock Bond establishes Key Glock as one of the South’s rising stars, capable of turning a head-nodding street story into a surprise hit through sheer force of charisma. This past weekend, the 20-year-old emcee brought the house down at Rolling Loud 2018 with a set of new and old tracks.

The Background:

A recognized figure in Memphis, Key Glock grew up idolizing the music of Gucci Mane and Lil Wayne. Glock created the unofficial crew Whole Lotta Errthang with his two best friends in high school, capturing the spirit of a popular Memphis saying. “Everybody knew we had a whole bunch of things going on,” remarked Glock. “we rolled with that, but we were living too fast.” Tragically, one of the members of his crew was gunned down at the age of 16. “Me and Ken [the other surviving member] ain’t even 21 yet, but we’ve seen and done so much. But you know: God does everything for a reason.” As Glock turned to music and began to develop his craft, his cousin-by-marriage Young Dolph began to take off. After facing an aggravated robbery charge and 90-day sentence in 2015, Key Glock was approached by Dolph and his business manager Daddyo to join Paper Route Empire. With PRE’s support behind him, Glock’s first single “On My Soul” has garnered 320,000 plays on WorldStarHipHop’s Youtube channel, and 235,000 plays on Soundcloud. With the release of Glock Season, Key Glock continues to smash through the southern rap scene. Stay tuned for more heat from Key Glock.
