Paper Route Empire standout Kenny Muney is known for his even keel, not letting small things distract him from his ultimate goal. The South Memphis heavy-hitter lays out his mission statement with “Don’t Worry About Me,” his new video, and the latest from Muney Talk 2: The Encore Edition. Blessed with a dramatic instrumental adorned with glistening piano chords and emotional vocal samples, courtesy of frequent Kenny Muney producer Aimonmyneck, the young rapper tells us how he moves, spending money like he has a bottomless supply: “R.I.P. Ben Frank and free Bank, I break money out/I exercise, but I ain’t runnin’ out,” he spits. In the video, Kenny rhymes in the rain, cutting an imposing hooded silhouette before he sets his apartment ablaze.
Released in February, Muney Talk 2 and Muney Talk 2: The Encore Edition are sequels to Kenny’s 2019 breakout mixtape. uney Talk, home to his first hit, “Feeling Me” (7.3 million streams on Spotify), as well as his early collaborations with Young Dolph (“AF”) and Key Glock (“Muney Talk”). Kenny recaptures his young and hungry self with the sequel, applying lessons learned in the intervening six years to create something new and exciting. The tape is home to singles like“Hunned” ft. Peezy and “Skincare,” and unites Kenny Muney with his PRE cohort Key Glock and Houston’s own Sauce Walka. The Encore Edition added 8 new songs, with production from the likes of Twysted Genius and more, featuring love songs like “Puppy Love” and “Come Here” that allow Kenny to show off his sensitive side. Muney Talk 2 and Muney Talk 2: The Encore Edition are available on all platforms via Paper Route Empire.

The Background:
A native of South Memphis, Kenny Muney grew up idolizing rappers like Lil Wayne, Gucci Mane, and Boosie. He started rapping at age 15, developing his aggressive aesthetic and honing his deeply rhythmic flow. Kenny got his first brush with fame when he released “YTN Freestyle,” which racked up over 2.5 million YouTube views, made him a neighborhood hero, and earned airplay on local radio. He made noise in 2019 with Muney Talk, his first mixtape for PRE. In 2020, Kenny Muney connected with his mentor Young Dolph for “No Regrets,” a highlight track from Dolph’s Rich Slave (Deluxe) album. “I’m never satisfied,” says Kenny Muney. “It’s a gift and a curse. I’m always looking for the next step.”
