Armed with a quick wit and a quicker trigger finger, Jackboy is fiercely protective of his Sniper Gang brethren. Flashing the unique sense of rhythm that makes him one of the game’s most chaotic and polished young rappers, the Pompano Beach, FL native shares “Cleaning Crew,” his latest single. Fitting his rapidfire rhymes between the notes of a snaking guitar melody, Jackboy compares his associates to a cleaning crew–but they’re armed with mopsticks, not mops, and they’ll mobilize at Jackboy’s command. Dripping with the taunting, confrontational demeanor that he exhibited in his recent social media back-and-forth with NBA YoungBoy, “Cleaning Crew” is Jackboy’s first new song since “Murda,” the sinister Casanova collab, and it will appear on Jackboy, the rapper’s new project coming later this month.

Holding down the Sniper Gang mantle while his close friend Kodak Black does time, Jackboy has been busy recording, collaborating, and dropping loosies. He opened the year with the hard-hitting video single “Freedom Of Speech” (1.1 million views), and continued with high-profile collaborations with YFN Lucci (“F*ck It“) and Louisiana rapper TEC ( “For That“). In 2019, Jackboy released two projects, including the acclaimed Lost In My Head project, which dropped in September and included popular singles “Not A Clone” (5.2 million views) and the JetsonMade-produced “Bipolar” (3.4 million views). An unabashed fan of pop stars like Ed Sheeran or Adele (the rapper freestyled over her hit “Hello” in late 2019), Jackboy recently earned a nomination from XXL for their Freshman 10th Spot.

Jackboy Background

In three years of rapping, 22-year-old Jackboy has already achieved nearly 100 million YouTube views, 30 million at Soundcloud, and eight figure-streaming at Spotify. Born in Haiti and raised in Pompano Beach, Florida, the rapper beams with captivating personality and charisma. He emphasizes the important words, both in conversation and melodic rapping. Although spirited and youthful, the artist heard on “G To The A,” “Grimace,” and “Not A Clone,” appears wise beyond his years. Best friends with Kodak Black for over a decade, the Sniper Gang/EMPIRE artist released two albums, JackNDaBox and Lost In My Head, in 2019. Jackboy has plenty to say.
