Song: Hopsin – “Rip Your Heart Out” feat. Tech N9ne
Hopsin Shares Unreleased Song from Upcoming Album Knock Madness, Due November 26th on Funk Volume
11.12.2013
The Song:
Los Angeles rapper/producer/video director Hopsin is giving his fans a sneak peak of what’s to come from his sophomore album, Knock Madness, with “Rip Your Heart Out,” featuring fellow indie rap game stalwart Tech N9ne. The song applies a ferocious war call of firing beats and growls over an accelerated and occasionally hypnotic pulse that feeds the rapid electricity of their cunningly cautionary lyrics. Hopsin is a “murderous word supplier” as Tech N9ne extends the warning, “Me and Hop only thing taken over like Pinky and the Brain.”
Hopsin is heavily involved in every step of the production of his music as co-founder of his indie label Funk Volume as well as his videos in which he acts, directs and video edits. His multitude of talents have gained him over 647,000 YouTube subscribers and his video for his second single from Knock Madness “Hop Is Back” has nearly 2 million views on YouTube since it was debuted just a few weeks ago. Catch Hopsin in Funk Volume’s new documentary, Independent Living, available for streaming or purchase here. Knock Madness will be released on November 26th via Funk Volume.

Hopsin Background:
Panorama, California native Hopsin faced many obstacles and controversy to get to where he is now. Hopsin’s obstacles first began as a child, being placed in special education classes and forced to believe that he would never amount to anything, which caused him to drop out of school completely in 2004. By 2010, Hopsin unhappily signed to a former label that failed to reach his artistic and commercial expectations. Surviving all obstacles and controversy, Hopsin is now not only a successful rapper but also a producer, editor, actor and director. In addition, Hopsin is co-founder of indie power house Funk Volume. Funk Volume currently has over 215,000 YouTube subscribers and 235,000 Facebook Likes. Hopsin focuses on how to engage fans with both sharp lyricism and careful branding, and brings forth a unique attitude and charisma that makes hip hop unpredictable again.
