We at Audible Treats stand in solidarity with the protesters across the country who seek justice for George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, and countless others. As a company, we are developing a concrete plan of action to combat the deleterious effects of systemic racism and police brutality. Currently, our team members are donating to just causes, marching in the streets, speaking out in public and private, and further educating ourselves about America’s racist past and present so that we are better equipped to call out injustice when we recognize it.
We take our role seriously as a conduit for amplifying voices and stories that tend to be ignored by the mainstream media. As for our day-to-day work of publicizing our artists and their stories, we’re working closely with them to find a balance between their need for artistic expression and their solidarity with the protest movement.

Audio: Freddie Dredd – “DARKO”
The Internet-Savvy Ontario Native Follows Up “Necklace” and “Tool” With Another Hyper-Aggressive Head-Nodder
“Hip-Hop Is Under Construction, and Freddie Dredd Is Rebuilding It” – Ones To Watch
“As we delve deeper into this interesting phenomenon, it will become apparent that Freddie Dredd is truly one of a kind; there is something spectacular about this rapper-producer extraordinaire. In a musical climate where originality is on the decline, where ‘everybody wants to be somebody else,’ Freddie exists as a standalone exception. Freddie Dredd is everything contemporary artists, underground and mainstream alike, ought to be. He is an exemplary creative mind, and there is a lot to learn from him.” – The Kollection
With aggressive lyrics and a penchant for experimentation, Freddie Dredd bubbled out of the deep web with a devoted cult following. Treating his fans to a dose of pure evil trap, Freddie Dredd shares “DARKO,” his new single. Opening with a literal bang, the Ryan C.-produced “DARKO“ is a mind-bending sonic journey, switching from chopped-n-screwed industrial rap to invigorating horrorcore over the course of two minutes. Freddie inhabits the track with demonic confidence, threatening to do unspeakable things just for laughs: “Swing the axe so fast it’s gonna split ya head to two.” “DARKO” follows in the footsteps of “Necklace” and “Tool,” the Ontario native’s recent two-pack.
A member of the Doomshop/Sixtet collective of boundary-pushing artists, Freddie Dredd cultivated a massive following with his abrasive demeanor, inventive beats, unique visual sensibility, and sly sense of humor. He’s been in the digital trenches for years, gaining millions of streams on SoundCloud and winning followers on socials.
In 2019, Freddie found his greatest success, fueled by his popularity on TikTok, whose users were drawn to his vibey combination of ethereal samples and hard-hitting low-end. His single “Cha Cha“ struck gold, racking up over 40 million total streams across platforms. Freddie is trending on TikTok yet again with his bossa nova-sampling single “Opaul,” inspiring over 2.7 million video creations and earning 31 million streams on Spotify alone.
Ready to push the envelope even further with his new music, Freddie is working hard to shape the rap game in his own image. Stay tuned for much more from the artist over the coming weeks.
