“[Figg]Â has a knack for crafting catchy hooks without diving into the superficial territory occupied by so much radio rap.” – SFWeekly
“One cannot deny this San Francisco area rapper’s talent with a mic.” – AllMusic
“Figg has grown into a rare well-rounded rap artist.” – RapReviews
Rapper, serial entrepreneur, CEO, producer, philanthropist – Figg Panamera (FKA JT The Bigga Figga) has worn a lot of hats. Born in the Fillmore district of San Francisco, he began rapping at an early age. At 16, he was sent to jail, but told his mother that heâd be a rapper when he got out. A year later, he founded Getlow Recordz, a mainstay in the Bay Area Street/MOB Music scene. Taking bits and pieces of what he saw moguls doing, Figg applied the lessons to business, later saying that âdrugs and stealing arenât as exciting as becoming a business owner.â Figgâs second album on Getlow had the hit single âGame Recognize Game,â one of the first major âhyphyâ hits from the Bay Area. As Getlow went from indie, to being signed to the major label Priority, and back to indie, Figg learned what it took to run a business. After getting dropped by Priority, he built a studio, signed a distribution deal with Bayside Records, and Getlow released over 20 studio albums a year. After Getlow, Figg continued to grow his professional resume. In 2002, he published his E-book âThe CEO Manual,â and in 2005 was named A&R for West Coast Operations for Rap-A-Lot Records. He also acted in the Spike Lee joint Sucker Free City, and in the Mandatory Business documentary alongside Snoop Dogg. During this time, he produced music for over 100 albums, working with everyone from Master P to The Game, along with Bay Area heroes such as San Quinn and Messy Marv.

Invited to Atlanta by Zaytoven, whom he taught production, he founded the Fillmoelanta label to promote local artists. In 2012, Figg started the Mandatory Business magazine. With the magazine, he continued to help promote local artists, and was the first to give Future, YG, Sonny Digital, and many others their first cover stories. In 2012 he began working with Young Scooter and Kevin Gates, helping them with their sound and production. In 2013, however, Figg switched directions, and began a campaign to help the homeless in Atlanta. During the campaign, Figg housed many people, gave them jobs, and incorporated them into the rap community, eventually buying an apartment complex – Fillmoelanta. In 2015, he founded a string of successful businesses, including Trapflix, a Netflix for trap movies, documentaries, and concert footage, as well as a tablet cellphone pre-loaded with movies, which he sold in the hood. In addition, he manufactured light-up sneakers – Trap Kicks and TrapForce1. In 2017, noticing the mobile phone industry in Africa was exploding, Figg went to Africa to sell phones/tablets preloaded with African content. When he went to Burkina Faso, however, he saw the way that people in small villages were living, and began a campaign to improve their quality of life. Buying 5 acres of land, Figg built water wells, toilets, rice, shoes, fixed up community centers, and started the Fillmoe Africa Business School. Two days after returning to Atlanta for the birth of his child, Figg was the victim of a robbery gone bad while feeding the homeless. Managing to survive after he dragged himself into a bulletproof car, Figg was hospitalized for a month, only to be released last week. Now fully healed, Figg is ready to take his honed business instincts back to the rap game, and is poised to release his first full album as Figg Panamera.
