The Video:

It takes a special type of creativity to spawn a dance craze that spreads to millions of Americans, but ATL dance rap duo Famous2Most makes it look easy. Returning with their first new music since releasing their 2015 self-titled mixtape, Famous2Most shares “SKRRRT,” an exuberant slice of party rap. Skating over bright keyboards and lumbering bass with melodic cadences, rappers Hasani and PJ strut their stuff and pull up on their haters on the Bangladesh-produced track. Doing donuts in the parking lot and mobbing with a massive crew, the duo shows off their wild new moves in the kinetic new video. Enterprising YouTubers and Instagrammers looking for their next dance challenge have dozens of new moves to try at home, thanks to this clip. Premiered by The FADER, who praised the track as a “playful dance banger,” the track is more than just a prelude to a viral challenge, but an infectious banger sure to fill dancefloors across the country.

Signed to Bangladesh Music Group, Hasani and PJ are the originators of international dance sensations “the Whip” and “the Nae Nae.” Leveraging their massive Instagram followings (over 150k combined followers) into viral success, Famous2Most helped spread the two crazes until they reached a fever pitch when Silento combined the dances into “Watch Me Whip/Nae Nae,” a top 5 Billboard smash. Hasani and PJ started dancing together in their teens, mimicking the moves of Michael JacksonChris Brown, Usher, and other dance icons. Eventually, the duo caught the eye of some of the biggest names in Hip-Hop, including producer Bangladesh (Lil Wayne’s “A Milli” and “Six Foot Seven Foot,” Ludacris’ “What’s Your Fantasy?”). “I met Hasani when he was 13, and I seen his dance video and knew immediately he was gonna be a star,” Bangladesh told VIBE in their 2015 premiere of Famous2Most’s self-titled debut mixtape. “All I saw back then was a young Chris Brown. Years later we crossed paths again then I seen he was dancing, rapping, AND producing?! He was rolling with PJ and the chemistry was crazy.” Since then, the duo met some of their idols: dancing in the background for B.o.B and Lil Wayne‘s “Strange Clouds” video, backing up Usher during an Atlanta performance, and strutting their stuff in TK N Cash‘s “3x In a Row” music video. They have also won the hearts of many famous athletes, including Dwight Howard and Odell Beckham Jr., who introduced the duo to his New York Giants teammates and brought the duo to dance on the field at MetLife Stadium.
