The Song + Video:
With his rich production, appealingly raspy vocals, and quick-witted lyricism, Eem Triplin invites listeners into a world of his own creation. Sliding over a smoothly slow burning instrumental, the 22-year-old artist/producer shares “TELL ME IM RIGHT,” his brand new video single. “TELL ME IM RIGHT” is the first glimpse of Eem’s upcoming debut EP, STILL.
Produced by Eem himself, along with co-producer Charlie Myles, “TELL ME IM RIGHT” mixes ringing, reverbed guitars and bubbly electric keyboards with thudding percussion to emphasize Eem’s easygoing melodies. The song finds the Johnstown, PA native spits game and drops witticisms in rapid-fire fashion, switching on a dime from rizz to tough talk and back: “Will you hold this sh*t down ’til I make it baby/We can ride til the moon and the sun set/There’s so many things I ain’t done yet.”
“TELL ME IM RIGHT” arrives with a scenic, Declan Kyle-directed music video, in which Eem takes a vintage Mustang to the countryside (Patterson, CA, to be very precise), where he watches cows and fraternizes with beautiful women. The wide, natural vistas provide an ideal complement to the luscious instrumental, as Eem works through his feelings. The video ends with a sneak peek at another new song from the upcoming STILL EP.
“TELL ME IM RIGHT” follows in the wake of a series of massively successful singles. Most recently, Eem teamed up with longtime collaborator $NOT for the wistful single “LET YOU KNOW,” and its accompanying, Omar Jones-directed music video, as well as the pugilistic single “WALKED IN.”
“TELL ME IM RIGHT,” “LET YOU KNOW,” and “WALKED IN” are the latest steps in Eem’s inevitable journey to stardom, fueled by a mixture of strong music and a knack for going viral. In 2022, Eem’s self-produced breakthrough hit “AWKWARD FREESTYLE“–sampling and co-signed by Tyler, The Creator–generated over 50 million streams across platforms, and fans intrigued by the song quickly found that Eem had a full catalog of similarly vibey highlights to choose from, including singles like “Louie V” (23+ million streams) and his latest track “JUST FRIENDS?” (27+ million streams since its early September release).
Eem has established himself as a standout live performer, killing his slots at festivals and as direct support for LUCKI’s sold out “Flawless Like Me: The Made Martian Tour.” Last Fall, Eem made his first festival performance at Rolling Loud New York, performing in front of a sparse crowd but making sure that the folks in the crowd would remember him forever (even if they forgot their own names in the process). This month, Eem made another Rolling Loud performance that illustrated how much he’s grown. He performed on the main stage at Rolling Loud California, drawing a much bigger crowd for his second performance at the hip-hop festival. Next, Eem joins his good friend $NOT as a supporting performer on the “Get Busy Or Die Tour,” kicking off this week in Orlando, FL and making his European debut this July at festivals Rolling Loud Portugal, Rolling Loud Germany, and Clout Festival.
With millions of streams on his catalog per week, the 21-year-old Eem Triplin’s potential is sky high. Stay tuned for more information about the STILL EP, coming soon.

The Background:
Born and raised in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, a community of roughly 18,000 located near Pittsburgh, Eem started his career as a producer, creating and selling beats online, producing songs for artists like $NOT and T9ine, including the latter’s fan favorite tracks “BENZO” and “Revenge.” Eem’s success as a producer fueled his desire to become an artist in his own right. His career as an artist kicked into high gear when he shared “AWKWARD FREESTYLE,” a self-produced, personality-filled song that used elements of Tyler, The Creator’s 2013 song “Awkward.” The song quickly went viral, inspiring thousands of TikTok creations, generating millions of streams on all platforms, and eventually reaching the ears of Tyler himself, who gave the song his enthusiastic co-sign.
Since then, Eem scored follow-up hits like “JUST FRIENDS?” and “LOUIE V,” generated multiple viral moments at Rolling Loud Festival, and drew the attention of the Johnstown newspaper, The Tribune-Democrat, who profiled the local hero and captured his community’s excitement about his success. With millions of streams on his catalog per week, the 21-year-old Eem Triplin has a shot to become one of his generation’s biggest stars.
