Album: Dee Watkins – Problem Child 3
The North Florida Native Exudes Confidence on the Third Installment of His Problem Child Mixtape Series, Featuring Appearances from NoCap, Hotboii, and Quail P
Critical Praise:
“What sets Watkins apart from his peers, though, is a natural bounce that sits at the core of his best songs…Dee Watkins makes songs that you can party to in one setting, and learn life lessons from in another. He can really do it all.” – Complex
“Listening to Dee Watkins on ‘Hell Raiser’ is a bit like watching Matthew Broderick in Ferris Bueller’s Day Off: You get the sense the delinquents are having more fun.” – Pitchfork
“Dee Watkins has been rapping for more than a decade, first picking up the trade when he was just 9 years old. By 10, he was recording in his next-door neighbor’s studio under the name Lil D. He’s come a long way since.” – XXL
The Album:
With the help of his faithful fanbase and his unwavering trust in himself, Dee Watkins is well on track to becoming Florida’s next big rap star. Demonstrating his growth over the last year, Dee shares Problem Child 3, his new project. The project finds Dee reckoning with his irresponsible past, seeking ways to better himself without forgetting the hard lessons he learned on the streets. Characterized by his honest lyrics and alluring production, Problem Child 3 is full of the perfect balance of booming 808’s and piano led instrumentals. Featuring appearances from NoCap, Hotboii, and Quail P, Problem Child 3 is available everywhere now via Alamo Records.
A return to Dee’s signature mixtape series, the new project is home to multiple singles that have allowed Dee to reintroduce himself and his Problem Child mixtape series in recent months. Letting his versatility shine through, Dee promised to always take care of his loved ones on the humble banger, “JPay,” while the North Florida rapper switched gears and sent a message to his haters on the piano-led track, “See It In Me.” Focusing in on relationship issues, Dee deals with a conflicting heart on his new emotional banger, “Hurtin’ U,” singing: “I’m running out of love, I’m running out of patience / I was f****** with you, but no more I can’t take it.” Dee bounces back to his heavy trap beats on “Nightmare On Grissholm St.,” as he notes how fame has change his life, rapping: “Still the same n****, just got a lil richer / I be paranoid, I ain’t tryna take no picture.”
In the run up to Problem Child 3’s release, Dee shared Not One Of Them, a 10-track album. The project featured a guest appearance from FCG Heem on “Proud Of Me,” raking in over 2.5 million views on YouTube. Making sure to stay busy, Dee recently joined Rod Wave on his SoulFly Tour, Presented by Rolling Loud, where he performed his hits including “Hell Raiser” and “Bad A** Jit,” the latter of which has nearly 40 million YouTube views.
With Problem Child 3, Dee Watkins aims to stand out as a poised player in the rap game, showing that he can tackle whatever obstacle comes in his way by using it to better himself.

The Background:
A rapper since age 10 and an artist since age 15, Dee Watkins caught fire in Florida and beyond with his crisply rhythmic flow and sharp Southern drawl. The 23-year-old artist first caught mainstream attention when he shared a remix to “Act Up” by City Girls, garnering millions of streams across platforms. He proved that he was here to stay with his origin story, “Bad Ass Jit,” a slinky rider’s anthem that racked up more than 39 million YouTube videos and inspired Young Dolph to hop on the remix. Dee built momentum in the streets with his Problem Child series of mixtapes, which included regional hits like the Pitchfork-praised “Hell Raiser” and “Fake Sh*t” ft. NoCap.
