Unleashing unhinged threats in his snarling voice, Comethazine specializes in pure evil trap bangers. Returning with his first music in six months, Comethazine shares “Air Max,” his new video single. Rhyming with a teeth-clenching intensity atop booming drums and mournful violin, Co warns the listener that he’s a remorseless hitter, ready for war at any time: “How the f*ck do you expect me to act?/Sold crack in the old Air Max.” In the video, Comethazine rocks a Givenchy sweater as he plots world domination from his warehouse lair, mean-mugging the camera as he smokes up with his Hench Mafia associates and shows off his rocket launcher.
“Air Max” is the Comethazine’s first new song since the release of Pandemic, Comethazine’s apocalyptic project, released in March. Opening with the mission statement “No Front” (2.2 million YouTube views), the project establishes Comethazine as rap’s most charming misanthrope, reveling in his “me vs. the world” attitude. Racing through 13-tracks in slightly more than 20 minutes, including breakout hit “LEAD THE RACE (UNDEFEATED)” (9 million Spotify streams), Pandemic is a glimpse into Comethazine’s proudly hedonistic lifestyle, as he stacks obscene witticisms and lists everything he loves (Jordans, guns, foreign cars, lean, Faygo, crab meat) and hates (liquor, fronting, manners, fakes, nearly everything else). With more than 35 million streams on Spotify alone, Pandemic is available everywhere via Alamo Records.
Named an XXL Freshman in 2019, the 22-year-old Comethazine has paved his own path in the music industry, releasing the successful Bawskee series of mixtapes in 2018 and 2019, including last year’s Billboard 200-charting Bawskee 3.5. His 2018 breakout single “Bands” earned a Gold certification from the RIAA, and his signature song “Walk” went platinum and earned a remix from A$AP Rocky. Currently preparing the follow-up to Pandemic, Comethazine looks to launch himself into a rare echelon: self-made, self-sustaining superstar.

Born Frank Childress in 1998, St. Louis-native Comethazine was a lean-loving high-school dropout. Influenced by Nipsey Hussle, Odd Future, Lil B, and Chief Keef, he started rapping in 2015. He soon discovered that his initial output was not as well received as party-oriented cloud rap, so he switched angles and scored a pair of local underground hits with “Run It” and “Hella Choppers.” The Aloe Vera EP landed in 2016, which resulted in a late-2017 deal with Alamo Records. A slew of short singles followed, including “Deathwish,” “Piped Up,” “Oowee,” and “Hero.” “Bands” became a viral hit, landing on his first full-length, Bawskee, which debuted on the Billboard 200 upon its release in 2018.
