Building an audience with his honeyed tenor, Chino Cappin’s style walks the fine line between streetwise rap and silky smooth R&B. Ready to take the next step in his ascension to stardom, Chino announces Ladders, his upcoming project. Steeped in hip-hop and R&B history, the upcoming project gets its power from Chino’s relatable lyrics. The upcoming project is home to recent singles like the aspirational “Shine,“ and the sultry break-up anthem “Fake Love,” and explores new dimensions of his character on introspective songs like “Feelings” and romantic tracks like “Sunshine.” Imbued with Chino’s deep love of music and gratitude for escaping out the mud on the back of his talent, Ladders finds the 20-year-old artist as he’s ready to explode out of his hometown in rural Georgia and draw new connections between rap and R&B on a national scale. Ladders arrives on August 11th via Alamo Records.
Along with the announcement of the project, Chino shares “Hot Sh*t,” a collaboration with fellow Georgia riser Metro Marrs. Driven by twangy three-chord guitar loop and trap hi-hats, the song brilliantly blends the two artists’ voices–Chino employs the flow from Future’s “Sh!t” while Marrs soars atop the beat with auto-tuned ad-libs. The song finds both vocalists setting out to prove that they’re unstoppable forces on the block, driving their Phantoms as they lay down the law. The “Hot Sh*t single arrives with a brand new music video, directed by Raw Media. “Hot Sh*t” is Chino’s first release since F*CC It BaCC To The BasiCs, a new mixtape that finds Chino rhyming over instrumentals from all eras, including samples of songs by Moneybagg Yo, Usher, and more.
Born and raised in Fort Valley, Georgia, just outside of Atlanta, Chino focused on music as a teenager as a way to escape his rough circumstances. The rapper built a cult following in the Southeast with mixtapes like Cold Hearted and Too Many Losses, which combined strong melodic instincts with braggadocious bars and clear-eyed observations about life on the streets. The 19-year-old artist built buzz with a successful college tour, turning up the heat with singles like “Lap Dance,” “NaNaNa,” “Fake Love,” and “Different,” a collaboration with YSL-affiliated rapper Yak Gotti. He’s earned praise from UPROXX and Dummy Mag, and told his story in an interview with Dirty-Glove Bastard.
Now signed to Alamo Records, Chino Cappin is ready to bring his tuneful and confident street music to the general public. Stay tuned for Ladders, the next rung on Chino’s climb to stardom.

Chino Cappin is a lyricist and singer of many hats. First and foremost, he’s the voice of the streets, with a background in the slums that has given him the creative drive to progress in the packed hip-hop industry. But in addition to his rough and gruff image, he’s a fun-loving goofball, intense creative, and mastermind of charisma. With co-signs from No Jumper and the UK’s Dummy Mag, it’s clear many people from around the world have begun to tune in to hear what Chino’s been saying and continues to say. To date, Chino has amassed over 1.1 million streams, 900,000+ views, and an Instagram following of 28k+. These are authentic, consistent numbers that reveal a fanbase genuinely attracted to Chino in all capacities. His impact can be attributed to his authentic approach to rap and, surprisingly, his process of making music which is a unique take on two well-tested methods. He typically looks to select beats that evoke emotion and then lay down melodies and write to them. However, he also enjoys going off the top with whatever he’s feeling in the moment as well.
