The Recap:
October 6, 2025 // GRAMMY Award-winning artist Chance the Rapper continues to shape the cultural conversation with Star Line, his most ambitious and conceptually rich project to date. Released August 15, the album has drawn widespread critical acclaim and industry recognition. It has been submitted for consideration across multiple GRAMMY categories, including Album of the Year, Best Rap Album, and additional fields spanning rap, pop, and melodic performance.
A testament to Chance’s evolution as an artist, curator, and storyteller, Star Line blends Chicago’s soul-rooted traditions with global textures, bridging eras and influences through deeply personal lyricism. Across 17 tracks, Chance reflects on growth, faith, fatherhood, and community — crafting an album that feels both intimate and expansive.
The project’s submitted categories include:
- Album of the Year – Star Line
- Best Rap Album – Star Line
- Record of the Year – “No More Old Men” (feat. Jamila Woods)
- Song of the Year – “No More Old Men” (feat. Jamila Woods)

With three GRAMMY Awards already to his name, Chance continues to expand the boundaries of modern hip-hop, blending conviction, craftsmanship, and community into every release. Across Star Line, songs like “No More Old Men” and “Letters” showcase the depth of his storytelling, honoring the voices that shaped him while confronting the complexities of contemporary culture. The result is a body of work that captures both where Chance has been and where he’s leading the conversation next.
Star Line’s impact extends well beyond the studio. Following its Top 10 debut on Billboard’s Top Album Sales Chart and #2 placement on Spotify’s Top Albums Debut USA Chart, Chance has brought the album to life on the road through his “And We Back” Tour, which has already delivered several unforgettable moments.
Most recently, he performed a sold-out show at The Rooftop at Pier 17 in New York City, transforming Lower Manhattan into an open-air celebration beneath the skyline. Backed by a live band, immersive visuals, and a crowd singing along word-for-word, the performance underscored Star Line’s spiritual resonance and affirmed Chance’s standing as one of music’s most engaging live performers.
The “And We Back” Tour continues across North America with upcoming stops in Boston, Toronto, Washington D.C., and a special hometown show in Chicago, before concluding at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles.
