On his come-up, 1900Rugrat made noise by releasing a weekly freestyle, wilding out on beats of all eras and styles. 1900 keeps that spirit alive with “Lift Yourself Freestyle,” his fiery take on a famously incomplete Kanye West beat. The Limestone Creek, FL native toe-tags the beat, playing off the insistent percussion and slotting his rhymes between the soulful vocal samples, as he promises that he will never change up, despite his growing success: “They all say you crazy when you just a lil’ different/They all say I changed, I just got a lil’ bigger/Huh, still that same lil’ stupid-ass jitterbug,” says 19. In the video, directed by 20k Visuals, 1900Rugrat posts up by the pool with a baddie and toasts his success with champagne.
