“What stands out isn’t just Benji’s versatility across different-era beats, but his knack for blending addictive repetition in the right places and breaking off flows into refreshing pockets.” – Complex
“Atlanta’s Benji Blue Bills continues to blow me away with his flow every time I hear him rap.” – Passion of the Weiss
“Rappers To Watch In 2025…Benji Blue Bills recently took over the internet with his catchy hit ‘Aye Rage.’ It’s sure to carry him for the rest of the year and will have fans begging for more music.” – The Root
Packing syllables between echoing snares and far-out synth arpeggios, Benji Blue Bills elevates his underground sound with braggadocious bars. The ATL-via-DC rising rapper teams up with GRAMMY nominated rage sound architect BNYX® to announce Out The Blue, their upcoming collaborative project, releasing on May 30th. The project will also release later this year with a limited run (500) of vinyl LPs, CDs, and an Out The Blue coffee table book featuring never-before-seen photos of Benji Blue Bills and BNYX®.
The project comes on the heels of “Aye Rage!,” Benji and BNYX’s hit single (created with streamer YourRage), which started life as a spontaneous “Song Wars” collaboration on PlaqueBoyMax‘s stream, and grew into a sizable underground hit. To date, “Aye Rage!” has generated more than 8.1 million streams across platforms since January, including 4.1 million views on the music video. Out The Blue picks up where “Aye Rage!” leaves off, bringing high-octane instrumentals from BNYX, a Platinum-selling producer known for his work with Yeat and Drake, and Working On Dying, while adding unexpected elements into Benji’s sound. As the sounds grow more adventurous, Benji keeps his lyrics-focused approach, wielding his pen like a sword as he crafts cutting flexes and witty punchlines.
To accompany the announcement of Out The Blue, Benji Blue Bills and BNYX share “Down Girl,” a border-crossing collaboration with Argentine superstar Duki. “Down Girl” presents an unexpected stylistic shift for both Benji and BNYX, arranging the producer’s trademark overloaded synths into bright arpeggios and adding percussion inspired by Haitian kompa music. Benji slides on the beat with blasé suavity, romancing a baddie with wrist talk. Another unexpected addition, Duki lifts the track with flex-heavy melodies, as he talks his smack in English and Spanish. In the video, Benji and Duki rendezvous in L.A. to perform the song under palm trees.
A fixture in the game with co-signs from heavy-hitters like LUCKI and Cole Bennett, Benji Blue Bills split time in his youth between Atlanta and Washington, DC, absorbing the sounds of both regions, and adding influences like A$AP Rocky. He caught the attention of the underground with his 2023 mixtape Campaign Blue, and was the subject of heavy industry chatter for his single “IM RIGHT HERE.” Benji kept the momentum going into 2024 with fan-favorite singles like “Santal 33” (10.5 million Spotify streams) and “Load Out” ft. Lazer Dim 700 and his project 500k Degrees. Benji earned viral attention with his “Underground Sound Cypher” (3.5 million Spotify streams), a standout on the popular internet platform’s compilation tape. The Cypher trended on TikTok for multiple weeks and earned positive mentions from tastemakers like Kai Cenat. Early this year, Complex recognized Benji Blue Bills as a 2025 Rapper to Watch.
With Out The Blue on the way, Benji and BNYX are ready to make a statement that can’t be ignored. Stay tuned for the tape, coming very soon.

Benji Blue Bills’ matter-of-fact raps that act as a delightful contrast to the playful, electronic elements in the beats he selects make him one of the more interesting rappers of today. Learning from hip-hop legends like A$AP Mob in his early days, he widened his network and took that knowledge back to Atlanta. The back-and-forth nature of his upbringing – bouncing between DC and The A – makes him an intriguing hybrid of styles. Spending his formative years in The District before relocating further South in his teens, you can hear elements of both places in his accent and musical delivery. Lucky for him, the two cities he calls home have been fostering some of the most inventive street music in the nation over the past decade.
Since he started, Benji sporadically released music and kept his name hot with big name associates but in 2023 he hit a creative stride. In October he released Campaign Blue, a sixteen-track mixtape where his gravelly voice is supported by chaotic, often otherworldly beats that sound like they’re fresh from a fantasy video game soundtrack. As we look to the future, Benji feels primed to make his mark as the face of a new, wildly creative batch of trap artists from the digital age.
