XXL premiered the breezy track “Regal” by J Stalin, produced by Trend of League of Starz. Featuring Compton sensation Problem, the song appears as a bonus track off the iTunes Deluxe version of SID (Shining In Darkness). With beautiful strings, flanging guitar strums, and chill percussion, this track transports you to a pimped out Buick Regal, cruising along California’s famous coastal Highway 1. According to J Stalin, Regals are especially significant to him because in his hometown of Oakland, these scrapers get tricked out with oversized rims, candy colored paint, and booming stereo systems. Few things compares to cruising down the street in your favorite car. Echoes Problem in the hook, “Ride in that Regal, hollerin’ at my people / what’s up, what’s up.”
SID (Shining in Darkness), J Stalin’s 14th album in just 8 years, will feature his signature Bay Area mob music sound. The album will be released on April 22nd via his label, Livewire Records.
