The Announcement:

Fuerza Regida have established themselves as one of Mexican music’s most popular acts and local legends in their native Southern California. Returning to where it all started and determined to give the community an experience to remember, the Mexican music superstars announce the inaugural Don’t Fall In Love Fest, a single-day music festival in their hometown of San Bernardino, California.

Named after the band’s Billboard-charting, genre-bending new album, Pero No Te Enamores (translated to English, it means “but don’t fall in love”), the festival is a gift from Fuerza and lead singer/songwriter Jesus Ortiz Paz (JOP) to the community, serving all ages with performances from Hip-Hop and Latin stars from multiple generations. The festival marks Fuerza’s first performance in San Bernardino since 2018–in the intervening years, the group has released several Billboard Hot 100-charting singles, racked up billions of streams, and became one of the biggest acts in the ascending regional Mexican scene. Join the group on November 2nd at NOS Event Center in San Bernardino…but don’t fall in love.

“I wanted to do something big for San Bernardino,” says JOP. “I’m bringing hope to the city with this festival.”

Tickets for Don’t Fall In Love Fest are available HERE on FridayOctober 4th at 2:00pm PST.

As the event’s gregarious hosts, Fuerza brings a lineup that appeals to all demographics in their Inland Empire hometown. Lil Baby joins the group as the festival’s second headliner, leading a group of rap stars that includes Kodak Black and Sexyy Red. Fans of the new wave of Mexican music can see stars like Luis R Conriquez and Xavi, plus Fuerza Regida’s own Street Mob signees, Chino Pacas and Clave Especial. The festival’s second stage will be a “Legends” stage, featuring legacy artists whose names still make waves in the industry. Featured on the “Legends” stage are rap legends Bone Thugs-N-Harmony and Too $hort, Latin American rap veterans Baby Bash and Lil Rob, and Mexican music legends like norteño-sax group Los Rieleros Del Norte and Technobanda pioneers Mi Banda El Mexicano. Stay tuned next week, October 7th, for the announcement of the heavy-hitting second stage headliner.

Critical Praise:

WINNER: 2023 Billboard Music Awards (“Top Duo/Group”; “Top Latin Duo/Group”)

“Belikeada is a testament to their ability to push boundaries while staying true to their roots, ensuring that that the group remains a reckoning force in the world of Mexican and Mexican-American music” – Billboard

“Fuerza Regida embodies the idea that if you work hard enough, you can achieve your version of the American Dream. This mindset is the subject matter for many of their songs (much of their music is either about the hustle, or the rewards that come from all that hard work). They’re not all talk, either. In the last 12 months, the band has released three albums and has gone on tour across the country.” – Los Angeles Times

“Shakira and Fuerza Regida defend the working class and tell off bad bosses everywhere in the new music video for their joint single ‘El Jefe,’ or ‘The Boss.'” – Variety

About Fuerza Regida
Fuerza Regida is riding high as one of the hottest acts in Latin Music, a status reflected by their eight nominations at 2024 Billboard Latin Music Awards, including “Artist of the Year” and “Top Latin Album of the Year.” Fuerza’s LBBMA nominations come on the heels of a monstrously successful year, in which they generated billions of streams, released three projects that reached the top two of Billboard’s Hot Latin Albums chart, and notched seven hits on the Billboard Hot 100, including two Top 40 hits. Their October 2023 album, Pa Las Baby’s Y Belikeada, which reached at #1 on the Billboard Latin Albums chart, and debuted at #14 on the Billboard 200, behind 53 million on-demand streams during its opening week, the third-largest opening total for a regional Mexican album to date. Singles “HARLEY QUINN” and “Tu Namé” reached #2 on Billboard’s Hot Latin Songs chart.

Most recently, Fuerza Regida shared their new album Pero No Te Enamores, which translates to “but don’t fall in love,” catapulting their corridos from the barrio to the club. Inventing the new genre “Jersey corridos,” the new album features production from well-known sound architects, including Gordo (fka Carnage) and Synthetic (Lil Uzi Vert’s “Just Wanna Rock”), who help JOP and the rest of the group to get out of their comfort zone and create something new. Featuring guest spots from MalumaMajor LazerAlokGordoAfrojack, and BellakathPero No Te Enamores is available to stream everywhere via Rancho Humilde/Street Mob Records/Sony Music Latin.

PNTE was a major success at release, peaking at #1 on Apple Music’s All-Genre Albums Chart within 24 hours. During its opening week, the album made a major impact on the Billboard charts, landing at #2 on Billboard’s Top Latin Albums Chart and at #23 on the Billboard 200, and placing 8 new songs on Billboard’s Hot Latin Songs chart, led by “NEL,” which also placed at #91 on the Billboard Hot 100. Three songs from the album landed on the Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart: “SOFIA” ft. Major Lazer & Alok (#20), “KYLIE” (#23) and “FVCK” ft. Afrojack (#30). Now, six weeks into its run, PNTE holds steady at #6 on Billboard’s Top Latin Albums chart, and “NEL” continues to chart on the Billboard Hot 100 (#82 this week, after peaking at #73 so far).

Fuerza Regida is currently on the road, performing the “Pero No Te Enamores Tour.” In August, Fuerza Regida headlined Baja Beach Fest, performing an exhilarating set on the shores of the Pacific Ocean. The “Pero No Te Enamores Tour” continues following sold out shows in Anaheim and Palm Desert last week, with dates all over the U.S. West Coast and Southwest, and several in Mexico.
