Baja Beach Fest is committed to making the festival experience as safe as possible for all of its guests, artists, and staff. Today, Baja Beach Fest 2021 raises the bar for music festival safety, announcing a protocol that ensures all persons coming to the festival will show proof of vaccination or provide a negative Covid test. In order to make the testing process as seamless as possible, BBF is exclusively partnering with COVID Clinic ensuring that all health statements are verified by a single, trusted source.
Using a stricter and more accurate policy than many of its competitors, Baja Beach Fest will require guests to show proof of vaccine or a negative test before entering the festival. Using the festival app, attendees can register their health information and activate their Baja Beach Fest 2021 wristband. Wristbands for Baja Beach Fest will not be valid without registration of the negative Covid test, or confirmation of vaccination. 90% of those guests who have already registered their wristbands have been fully vaccinated against the virus.
The easiest way to enter Baja Beach Fest 2021 is to be fully vaccinated–vaccinated attendees can activate their wristband right now using their proof of vaccine. Each guest who is not fully vaccinated will need to get tested within 72-hours of the event at a COVID Clinic location. They have over 100 locations across the United States, and will provide testing centers in Rosarito and Tijuana for last minute tests in the days preceding the festival. COVID Clinic will also have a testing location on site at the festival, for those who are unable to get tested prior. BBF’s partnership with COVID Clinic provides festival guests a discounted rapid test price of $49 and allows for integration with the Clinic’s testing database and the festival’s RFID wristband. Masks are required and mandatory for entrance.
Ticket holders who test positive will not be allowed to attend the festival this year, but with proof of a positive test, Baja Beach Fest will provide a refund or the opportunity to save the passes for Baja Beach Fest 2022.
The Covid safety protocol does not only apply to guests–the performing artists and the members of their crew will be subject to the same protocols. All Baja Beach Fest staff and crew are fully vaccinated against the Covid-19 virus.
“We’ve been working with every state and city department to make sure that Baja Beach Fest is as safe as possible,” say BBF founders Aaron Ampudia and Chris Den Uijl. “We’re excited to show the world that live music can come back in a way people can feel comfortable with. We’re taking these necessary precautions so we can all enjoy live music while keeping the fans, the artists, and the people from Baja safe.”
The first weekend of Baja Beach Fest 2021 occurs on August 13-15th, 2021 and the second weekend happens the following weekend on August 20th-22nd in Rosarito Beach, MX. Baja Beach Fest 2021 promises headlining performances Anuel AA, J Balvin, Ozuna, and Karol G, and a high-powered undercard with performances from Sech, Farruko, Becky G, Jhay Cortez, and many more. Fans are raring to lace up their swimsuits and experience the beachside vibe that virtual festivals can’t hope to replicate. The festival hopes that with these necessary precautions, fans will feel comfortable partying freely and safely.
