TikTok Treats, Week of March 27th
Taylor Reaches the Top 20 with a New Old Song, Rauw and RosalĂa Publicly Display Their Affection, an Unexpected Legion of Virtual Dancers, and More from Music On TikTok

The News:
Each week, the TikTok Treats newsletter gives a snapshot of the state of music on TikTok, touching on trending hits, emerging artists, superstar moves, ascendant memes, and much more. Check out this weekâs trends below:
- A romantic anthem about falling for someone new, âAll The Girls You Loved Beforeâ (42K+ creations) is the latest Taylor Swift song to win over the hearts of the TikTok community. Creators on #SwiftTok proudly use the song, a leftover from her 2019 Lover album that saw official release for the first time last week, to show off how much they love their partner, exclaim how they would want to marry the person who posted them to the song, and share advice for finding the right partner. In other creations, creators prove their cats are the biggest Swifties, joke about how upset they would be if their ex posted their new partner to the song, and display their dedication to cherishing the confetti they saved from The Eras Tour. Powered in part by its TikTok success, âAll The Girls You Loved Beforeâ debuted at #12 on the Billboard Hot 100.
- Latin superstars RosalĂa and Rauw Alejandro introduced their new EP RĐŻÂ with a very public display of affection on TikTok earlier this month. The song introduced in that video, which generated over 32 million views, was âBeso,â which has developed into a major trending hit on the platform. With over 188.2K video creations in just two weeks, âBesoâ is the go-to soundtrack for creators who want to show their love for their longtime partner, or wish they had someone they felt as strongly about as Rauw and RosalĂa feel about each other. The superstar duo made even more headlines last weekâwhen they werenât showing off their recipe for piña coladas, they revealed that they are engaged.
- The TikTok community has a knack for creating heartwarming trends that allow them to show love to their friends and families. In recent weeks, Scotty McCreeryâs 2018 country ballad âFive More Minutesâ inspired a tear-jerking trend of creators mourning the memory of their departed loved ones. Boasting over 31.2K total creations, the song finds creators sharing their favorite memories with their grandparents, remodeling their dadâs old truck, and reflecting on fun times with their siblings. In other recent videos, creators reminisce on their last days as an all-star cheerleader and share clips of Scotty McCreery performing âFive More Minutesâ live at a concert.
- The TikTok community loves to shake a tailfeather and Nina Skyâs 2004 hit âMove Ya Bodyâ is the perfect soundtrack for creators to showcase their moves. Garnering over 326K total creations, a remixed version of the pop dancehall bop finds creators putting their spin on choreography by creators @harleyhaisleyyy and @leroy_wielink. Inspired by the sounds of the sister duoâs bop, creators show off their ability to move their bodies with the assistance of their children, dance partners, and friends. Thanks to a boost from TikTok, âMove Ya Bodyâ earned a top 10 spot on TikTokâs US Top Trending Tracks chart this week.
- With trending hits like âMy Type,â âTap In,â and âBest Friendâ ft. Doja Cat already under her belt, Saweetie is a TikTok favorite. The Bay Area rap princess is back this week with a new baddie anthem for every âBO$$ CHICKâ on TikTok. A song about empowerment and confidence, the high-energy banger has racked up over 263K total creations and inspires a wide array of creations, from gym routines to impressive color theory makeup tutorials. It also soundtracks a trend of creators revealing their favorite beverages, including McDonaldâs Hi-C Orange and fun, green St. Patrickâs Day drinks. Putting her own spin on the trend, Saweetie also showed off whatâs in her cup with fellow TikTok favorite and rapper Baby Tate, while they were filming the video for the remix to Baby Tateâs TikTok-trending âHey, Mickey!â
- A heart-rending ballad and a classic of many school slow dances, Irish rock band The Cranberriesâ song âLingerâ was one of the biggest alt rock hits of the 1990s. The lovely 1993 song is experiencing a second life as the soundtrack of an odd, and oddly-charming, new trend, making use of the user-created âDancers Generatorâ filter. The filter magically transforms anything creators point their camera at and turns them into an army of dancing figures (cartoonish, humanoid shapes that resemble the old AIM logo), who breakdance to the beat of the music. With over 26k creations to date, âLingerâ has soundtracked the transformations of unsuspecting boyfriends, bottles of Aquapher, mechanical pencils, old dolls, adorable dogs, and much more, into their best dancing selves.
