Reaching a Peak of #4 on Apple Music’s All-Genre Album Charts, the Multi-Platinum Artist’s New Full-Length is On Pace to Become the Biggest of His Decorated Career, Despite Facing Competition From Three New Drake Albums

Critical Praise:

“…a mesmerizing, unremittingly morose testament to Lucki’s own sneaky, sing-song catchiness. He’s been perfecting his wounded and woozy rap for almost a decade, and the result is so irresistible you might find yourself accidentally groaning.” – Pitchfork on FLAWLESS LIKE ME

“Lucki has been applying the truths of this life to his music for the better part of a decade.” – Complex

“Lucki has been building his resume for years, crafting understated, infectious tracks that have shades of fellow Chicagoans like Chief Keef and Supa Bwe, but a swagger and sensibility that is all his own.” – Pigeons & Planes

“Lucki’s music can feel like you’re about to be submerged in a swamp or like you’re about to fall asleep behind the wheel of the Lamborghini from Suicide Squad – The FADER

‘On this blessed day, we also get Days B4 III, the new full-length from Lucki, the muttering young cult-rap icon whose self-destructive lyrics have the power to punch you in your soul.” – Stereogum

The Announcement:

Building a loyal fanbase without ever compromising his artistic vision, Chicago’s LUCKI is reinventing what it means to be a rap star. The proudly independent rapper’s new album Dr*gs R Bad, landed the biggest opening week of his career to date, notching a #9 debut on this week’s Billboard 200 with 51,000 units. The 29-year-old rapper’s latest has racked up hundreds of millions of streams (48.39 million on-demand official streams, the best streaming week of his career), reaching #4 on Apple Music’s All-Genre Albums chart during its debut weekend, only trailing the three new albums by Drake. Dr*gs R Bad performed equally well on Spotify, where LUCKI was the 10th-most streamed artist on the platform during the album’s debut weekend, ranking ahead of behemoths like The Weeknd and Kanye West. Beyond streaming, LUCKI racked up over 6,000 album sales, placing at #13 on Billboard’s Top Album Sales Chart.

Enthusiasm behind LUCKI’s new album has fueled sales of the artist’s upcoming  “Bad* Influence Tour,” launching this summer. The tour sold out several of its 28 dates in its presale, including shows in major markets like Brooklyn, Atlanta, and Washington DC. Since its general onsale on Friday, the “Bad* Influence Tour” sold out several additional dates, for a total of 14 sellouts in less than one week. Before the tour launches in full, LUCKI will perform three shows, one at Lyrical Lemonade Summer Smash on June 12, and in London and Warsaw, Poland (Clout Festival) in July. Featuring support from rising Atlanta rapper Sk8star, tickets for the “Bad* Influence” tour are available now at luckivault.com.

LUCKI’s first full-length since 2024’s GEMINIDr*gs R Bad is a wide-ranging effort that chronicles the rapper’s complicated relationship with illicit substances, diving into the conflict between their positive effect on his creativity and negative effect on his state of mind. The album is one of LUCKI’s most ambitious to date, subsuming high-wattage guests like Lil Baby, Veeze, Lil Yachty, and Rylo Rodriguez into his warped world. Crafted with the help of regular collaborators like Brent Rambo and Bhristo, Dr*gs R Bad spans 20 new tracks, including Pitchfork-approved effort “Stupid Prizes,” each exploring a corner of LUCKI’s bleakly hedonistic worldview. The album’s second disc collects some of LUCKI’s buzzing singles released since his last album, 2024’s GEMINI!, including I Don’t Care…” ft. Lil Yachty, which earned notice from Pitchfork and racked up over 3.7 million views on its music video, “Free Mr. Banks,” a tribute to Lil Durk, and 2025’s “Not So Virgo Of You.” Dr*gs R Bad streams on all platforms via EMPIRE and is available to purchase in several variations on CD and vinyl.

Dr*gs R Bad is the culmination of an era for LUCKI, who has been keeping busy by releasing singles and producing his own documentary, Bad Influence. In 2024, LUCKI released GEMINI!, which debuted at #20 on the Billboard 200, #7 on Billboard’s R&B/Hip-Hop Albums Chart, and #3 on Billboard’s Independent Albums chart, home to fan-favorites like the viral “RIP” (115 million Spotify streams, #39 peak on TikTok’s Top 50), recently certified GOLD, “Heavy On My Heart” (49 million Spotify streams), and “BBY Goat,” his second collab with Future, following 2022’s GOLD-selling “Kapitol Denim.” Proudly independent for his whole career, LUCKI continues to rack up accolades, earning six GOLD certifications and one PLATINUM (“New Drank”) certification in the past year alone.

With Dr*gs R Bad out now, LUCKI hopes to shape the mainstream in his image. Keep an eye on LUCKI as he continues to elevate this year.
