Seamlessly mixing danceable New Orleans bounce music with hard-hitting rap lyricism, Treety has a knack for going viral. The Jet Life Recordings artist returns with “Bad Vibes,” a new single that blends regional sounds with barred-out verses lie only she can. Featuring a sample of “Separated,” a 2000 R&B hit by Avant, and the uptempo percussion and energetic ad-libs that define New Orleans bounce, Treety viciously attacks an ex who did her wrong, taunting him with tales of her sexual prowess and making it clear that she’ll never make a romantic mistake like that again: “Don’t be with you put that on everything I own/I can’t believe I stayed around for that damn long,” she croons. Towards the end of the song, she switches gears singing lyrics from the theme song to Disney Channel cartoon Phineas & Ferb (“There’s a hundred and four days of summer vacation/And school comes along just to end it”), before concluding the song by taking control of the dancefloor with her traffic direction.
Treety’s hybrid style has helped her stand out in her hometown’s hip-hop scene, threading the needle between the streets and the dancefloor. A signee to Curren$y’s Jet Life Recordings, Treety’s prolific output and natural pop instincts have resulted in several viral hits in recent years. “Is U Stupid?“, from 2025’s Trick Or Treat album, made waves on TikTok and other platforms, racking up 13.3k creations on TikTok alone, propelling the song to over 1 million Spotify streams and 500k YouTube views. Another Trick Or Treat highlight, “Making Love,” sampling Dondria’s 2010 hit, was even more successful, generating nearly 3 million Spotify streams, surpassing 6.6 million YouTube views, and garnering radio play in the South. In 2024, Treety’s “Love Song” brought her national attention, racking up over 1 million views on clips of her performance on I Got Flo.
